NightDive doesn't own the license anymore. Unfortunately the holder to the license is "Universal Interactive Studios". Who made a non-FPS chibi game of Turok called "Turok: Escape from Lost Valley". Also that Turok game had a major difficulty spike in hitboxes being a bit off. Though graphics look okay for being chibi though it ain't based on the FPS/comics more straight up original comics. So many dimensions of Turok versions.
That would be out of this world! A Doom 2016 style reboot - with an awesome story that draws heavily on the first game and the comics. Thank goodness I have a Gaming PC as well as my PS4 (hopefully soon PS5), cause with ID now being exclusive Xbox, id have to buy one haha.
My dad LOVED Turok: Evolution, he would play it non-stop. He really loved the Turok franchise, absolutely fawning over the games that he knew existed. To us, it was an awesome, niche thing that deserved more love and attention than it got. Not many games out there let you play as Native American badasses shooting the heads off of Raptors.

The remaster on Steam using the KEX-Engine is an absolute treat. I've been ripping through it and it is just so much fun. The original soundtrack is restored as well as the graphics and it's just SO MUCH FUN.
Never knew bout Rage Wars. My siblings n i used to play the vs mode on Turok 2 for hours. Charged dart rifle, plasma gun n cerebro bore were our favorite weapons to use lol
I get that evolution had 'issues', but it was still good enough to bring a few fans in - myself included. Not everyone wants to be stuck in the maze of keys and odd objectives like the original two, and the remasters even helped to prove that. Still, there was value in those games. Especially for its time, some of that tech was incredible, and we don't exactly need a straight line to the finish either. Somewhere between them and evolution, something grand could be made. Heck, even if you stuck more close to the original comics, we've got better dev ideas for making that into a game. A new Turok could be awesome, and it baffles me nearly every day that nobody is really doing a lot with these ideas in either comic, novel, game, or film.
I loved turok evolution, it and twisted metal made me like games. Also turok evolution was one of the best multiplayer experiences I've ever had. Glad to see some love for the series though; it was kinda beginning to feel like a fever dream. P.S. pterodactyl fighter planes for the win
Just now due to this video i saw the turok 2 trailer - just a few views on joshua in the dark, but its bloody epic! Fireseed was the most interesting turok in the series.. If another sequel, then it should be with adon and joshua, whereas adon saves fireseed from oblivion (as is hinted in the lore)
I have a theory: Joseph Turok is the originator of the Turok title, and Tal'set is his ancestor. In '08 Cain is working with someone big. This guy would've been the antagonist of Turok 2 (new and old) and become the Primogen. Turok would fight through Pre-Primogen's forces on Earth fighting his military of mercs and tamed Dinos, traveling through portals that takes him from one side of the Earth to another, and eventually fighting in Pre-Primogen's ship. This caused the pocket universe of The Lost Land's solar system and would be the source of the paranormal activities centered around places like The Bermuda Triangle. How and why, you may ask? Because time-travel and the multiverse theory is so confusing as hell that you can come up with damn near anything.
I agree with your criticism of Evolution, but I still LOVED it, and it was my Dad's favorite game, bar none. There is always that statement, "If only they had more time." Evolution had a great idea, but not enough time to have it appropriately realized.
turok 1 was so impresive that i had to choice to buy zelda ocarina of time or buy turok 2 seed of evil, and i bought turok 2, i ended buying zelda too. later but men thats was a really hard choice to make back then. both games were really good. turok 2 still the best of that series and the turok 1 its really good too. nice video men i will get both games they really worth it.
2016’s Doom and the follow up Eternal were masterpieces. If they did that to Turok, I wouldn’t be reviewing much for a while as I’d be locked into that!
This game was sick for the time it was released. I'm glad we got the remastered versions. But we definitely need remakes of all 3 games. It's a shame we didn't get the the 3rd entry even though it didn't get much love. The 2nd entry was such an art. This game is a big part of my childhood.

How am I so late to this? I love Turok 1 & 2 and even have found memories of Evolution and the Reboot. I wish NightdiveStudio would Remaster the other games too. I never played 3 or Rage Wars because they aren't in PC, my PS2 version of Evolution has no cutscenes so I have no clue about the story and the PC version of the Reboot is just bad. And I just want to point out that the Remaster for Dinosaur Hunter released 2015, Turok 2 was 2017. Others already said it, but a reboot/continuation like Doom 2016 and Eternal would be awesome. I'm also sad that the Reboot didn't get a sequel, the concept art looks really promising.

However, that's not to say I would like a "Native American Doom-like", so to speak, but one that's been worked on and lovingly crafted as close to the original as possible, while adding new themes and dynamics to the gameplay, like the way ID and Bethesda remade, no, reworked and polished, Doom. The reason I say "like Doom" is because of the mechanics of the game. Your speed is like Doom, your strafe, your weapons, the weapon wheel. There are many similarities ESPECIALLY with the older Doom titles, so it only seems natural to think that way for me. What about anyone else, what do yall think?

I recommend playing “Hell Night” ps1 also called “Dark Messiah” ps1 in Japan. This is one of the best ps1 horror games. You can download an emulator to play it on PC. Really good game
The lore of Turok is, to me, interesting, it would be nice if they could make a new Turok but bring a really dope story to it. Also I have to disagree about Turok Evolution. It could have been better, but they all could have. I remember as a kid really loving Evolution, it captured a whole world of magic for me and now as an adult, I really wish they expanded further on the whole thing.
Turok rage wars was what got me into the franchise turok 2 is second best in my book. Turok rage wars is basically base form for turok 2 and talset from dino Hunter is in turok rage wars and he's a beast to play against and as just because it didn't stay like 2,3,4 doesn't make it shit but unique the graphics were way better than oblivion. PS3 basically summed up turok in a nutshell. The guns the graphics were fun as hell. Not the story but the gameplay.

I watched my mom play this when it came out. I was shocked going from SNES to Nintendo 64. Been a fan since that week it was released.
I really want a Turok 4 or evolution 2, those were so inconclusive at the end (Turok 3 and evolution).
