I'm 42 yrs old now. I've Been a heavy addict since I was 16, 3 years ago, I Lost my wife and daughter because of heavy porn use . The guilt almost killed me, so I said enough and decided to escape from this shithole. I read a ton of books (the best one was "Befapless" because it had the most realistic steps for quitting), joined communities(like "r/nofap"), and gave it all to quit.
    .
I'm clean for 3 years now. I feel regret every day about the time that passed.
    I wasted my life. I wish I hadn't. God, I wish I hadn't.
If you're young reading this, please do anything at all necessary to overcome this ASAP!

If you’re going through this DON’T GIVE UP and be relentless. No matter how long the cycle is, the constant intention to quit no matter what forms a new connection in your mind bit by bit and eventually the dots will connect, the circuit will be complete and the reprogramming will be done (just like the programming to build the addiction). You reach a point when you’re doing it while not wanting to do it even before you do it (a sign the reprogramming is nearly complete) until eventually you stop and never go back. It’s hard to explain but just keep going towards the light no matter how far back it keeps going because you’ll reach it eventually and every step counts to getting you closer. Good luck brother, don’t disappoint us.

Yeah man, I cried watching this video, out of the 100 past Hamza videos I watched these last few years nothing has made me so much as tear up a bit but this felt extremely relatable. Got into it at 13 on a phone in my dad’s bathroom, first mind blowing high/explosion then addiction begin. At 17/18 still a V no girlfriend and discover NF/NP on Reddit, relapse after 3 days endlessly, finally get to a week, then two weeks. Feel a lot better. Get to 30 days many times while in college, relapse a couple times but after falling back into my old ways and feeling disgusted, seeing it impact my grades/social life/happiness I say enough is enough, get to 90 days for the first time in my life since I was 12 and never fapped, met endless beautiful women naturally irl, got into weight lifting seriously and transformed my body to the point guys & girls kept complimenting me when I used to be very scrawny, cured my life long crippling social anxiety & low confidence/self esteem, made a bunch of life long best friends I enjoyed a vibrant social life with all of college, was able to focus and pass through all of computer science while most people dropped out. Got a lot more i with women, at 19 discovered TRP on Reddit in its glory days before it died, you could feel all the energy, wisdom, strength & power back then… it’s all gone now but it’s influence continues in the self improvement/manosphere space on RUclips (not all the toxic fresh & fit Bs, the original philosophy was just teaching men authentic masculinity & self development, taking full ownership of your life and learning every man has the power to shape it, attraction through masculinity instead of bull**** PUA) it really did change my life… I hope every young 11 - 16 yo watching this takes heed in the warnings from us older men in our early to mid 20s. What really helped me make progress (we talking twice a day to once every other week) was to visualize a beautiful relationship with another girl, not just the modern day “friends with benefits” where it’s just hedonistic pleasures and you’re depolarized as fuck, but an actually romantic relationship where you truly bond with each other. You really need that moment to click in your head when you realize “damn, this is what i’ve been sacrificing all this time for 10 seconds of instant pleasure and guilt”.
To me it occurred when I was watching some rom fan fiction (don’t ask). I saw how well this “couple” vibed together and it struck me, “ *this* is what a relationship feels like??”, after sitting down and meditating on it for 20 minutes my mindset was completely changed…

Here's a little trick I learned while working with discipline and no fap. I began with intermittent fasting, for 16 hours per day, eventually eating 1 meal per day. and I started introducing fasting days. I'd have 2-3 days of complete fasting (water tea and coffee only) every 2 weeks. After a few months i've noticed that fasting helps build so much discipline and mental strength + will power it's not even funny. If you can stop yourself from the urge to eat, you can master no fap like a joke. Nowadays I actually feel bad when i have to go sleep with a woman thereby "losing my streak".

I believe the reason why this is such a widespread issue throughout men is because for many people its excused as something that "isnt that bad" and that "every guy does it". Unfortunately in the cases ive seen, myself included, it just gives you an excuse to just keep doing it. It also changes the way you perceive other addictions, such as drugs and alcohol. My main issue with this was that i refused to admit it was a problem for a long time, and i refused to fully realize i wasnt doing it because i really liked it, i was doing it as a way to cope with trauma from my life. Another similar one i was struggling with was sex addiction. I couldnt go 2 weeks without having sex with someone. A random hookup here and there, there was a time i had sex with 3 different people in a day. I know lots of people think that sounds like a good time, and years ago my naive self wouldve thought the same, but it wasnt.
Porn and sex addiction make me feel dirty, gross and disgusting, even to the point where i felt digusted with myself during either act. I didnt care about the women i was hooking up with, they didnt care about me, we knew next to nothing about each other, and we were only in it for the sex before eventually never seeing each other again. There was no connection, no compassion, and absolutely no love involved, which felt so immoral to me, they couldnt have cared less if i was dead the next day, and i didnt care if they deleted my number the day after, but i couldnt stop. I wanted to, but i kept giving into temptation constantly. These encounters are VASTLY different than having sex with someone you have a connection with, and you both care about each other, a partner who wants to build a future with you. There were a lot of reasons (not excuses) why i did what i did in hindset, but the main one for me was being sexually assaulted several times throughout my life. These days, porn addiction isnt an issue, though i do still struggle occasionally with hookups, but my method of fixing that is by getting to know the woman, getting a connection, and if things dont click then i dont subvert my standards to a late night booty call. My body count is higher than most people i know, and im ashamed of it, but i try to learn from the mistakes i made in the past and live a more fulfilling life without constantly thinking about sex.
Some men may not need this, but for the men that were in my position or worse, dont be afraid to admit that you need help, you might have a better shot by speaking with a therapist and finding the root cause of whats causing you to act this way, yet it might be better for you to figure it out with your own mind, i eventually did both and therapy did seem to help find the root cause, but other than that it wasnt the whole answer to my issue. know it will be a difficult issue that YOU will need to gather the willpower and discipline for, that means you need to rely on YOURSELF the most to overcome this. Dont rely solely on a therapist, dont rely solely on medication (would avoid this option as much as you can help it IMO) The fact that youre watching this video and reading these comments shows youre already taking the right steps to start, even if you relapse, keep at it, you only have truly failed if you completely give up.

i started watching porn at like 9 and i’m 15 now, i didn’t even consider i was addicted until i didn’t have my phone for 2 weeks and i had so many urges. It honestly makes me feel sick watching it yet i can’t stop. I will not let myself become this waste of a man.

8:31 l have something to say about the whole "See a therapist" suggestion. My brother went to therapy for a little over a decade (mostly because of OCD), but the moment his phychologist died unexpectedly (because life is inherently unpredictible and abdominal aortic aneurisms kill you in minutes) he spiraled into a self-destructive behaviour that, eventually, led directly to his death. He spent twenty years taking prescribed benzos, over ten years seeing a phychologist and l'm supposed to believe that he was not given the tools to prevent a very predictable self-destructive behaviour? My point is that you can't be a self-respecting psychologist and simultaneously have the same patient for over ten years... either you suck at your job or you are a con-artist.

I'm sorry for your loss. However, it's not that black and white. It's not like you just can go and cure it. You could switch your perspective on it and consider that perhaps your brother WAS given some tools - and it's these that kept him hanging onto life for over a decade. For many with depression or whatever, people don't seem to realise, that simply making it through the day, is the battle they have to fight to win, every day. Unfortunately, if you're ability to get through each day, is dependent on things outside your control, you can spiral when something disrupts it, and you've got no other methods to cope, to back you up.

Hamza, I am so grateful that your channel exists. You are the antithesis to all these feminist youtubers, telling men to stay weak. Buy at the same time, you are mature and not childish like Andrew Tate. You are a beacon of masculinity and the fact that you want to help young men to unleash their full potential is admiring. Thank you so much. Salutations

This video hits really close for me considering i've been on self improvement for a while. I still have a few bad habits that I'm trying so hard to shake, and this is one of them. I stopped for 2 weeks+ then relapsed, and ever since then, I've struggled to go more than 3-4 days without it happening again.
