I actually overtrained and now I have hand injury since a month. Not saying it's primarily from working out since I also do lots of studying and play piano in my free time, so that could have effects on my wrists as well, but I 100% overtrained too. (High volume + going all out literally every training / 7 days a week isn't healthy.)

    • @MattZeefy

No it isn't, but like he said, it's about 0.1% of people who actually overtrain. Less than 50% even go to the gym or exercise at all.
7 days a week is maybe 4% of people at most.

I think y'all guys don't know how muscles are huh? Muscles grow BY recovering from the training you did and that's why you train a diffrent muscle group eachday. Example:
Push and pull (triceps - biceps) for example. Don't make the mistake and try to train for example biceps every day because you'll get injured and you don't want that King. So if you are a gym rat and want to train 7 times a week or even more, try to include a lot of variety into ur sessions. Keep it up 👑 and keep grinding

I’m 13 currently, and a few months ago I went to a summer camp where I was doing moderate-vigorous excercise about all day long. For example running, swimming, sawing down trees. And whenever I wasn’t doing something like that I was walking. But I enjoyed it even though I didn’t get nearly enough food to sustain myself. In fact I lost about 14 pounds in just 2 weeks by doing that. But once your body starts burning it’s fat stores you feel like you can do anything. Even without food.

Hey, Hamza thank you for everything, I agree with 98% of the things you say, and I'm consistently training calisthenics now for 2 years. I'm in the best shape of my life and feel fucking confident in myself, etc., but as you point out the sleep and diet problem, I'm entirely aware that I'm lacking in those areas as now I have part-time job where I'm working 12-14 hours a day + I'm trying to get my business of the ground. Curentlly is around 10:30pm here and I'm just going to start working on my business and I guess I'm going all night again. It's exhausting but as I have good mental health, even I stopped meditating I don't journal every day, I kinda stopped reading as I don't have time for it. But I realized that my brain is working best under constant stress and I feel best when I know that I have ton of shit that needs to be done. And it keeps me out of social media. I'm not fapper for quite some time but to be honest once in a while I just can't hold myself and I'll take a bit longer shower. But that happens like once a month not even that. I'm good around girls, as there are a lot of them in my work environment. They all like me and adore me. I know that I'm funny guy that can make them laugh and I check every box for high value man except money. But when it comes to approaching women i just can't, there is something that is holding me back. Some little bitch inside me that is telling me that I'm not good enough, not interesting,... as what I'm always doing is thinking about money, cars, or I'm working. which reminds me of that I should work now so have a nice day guys :)

    1. You have a new goal and a new plan, but you have't changed who you are.
2.The ultimate form of intrinsic motivation is when a habit becomes part of your identity

Overtraining is a real phenomenon. I have trained at a high level and have personally see the impact on myself or other athletes. Sometimes, taking a break for just one week can lead to improved performance and new personal records. Rest is just as important as working out. You should train hard every weeks, multiple times per week, but if, for exemple : 2-3 trainings in a row, you see a decrease in your performances, than it's maybe better to take a break for a couple of days.
The other thing is that some people are not ready yet to do certain types of workouts, if they do to much in one go they will injure them. So in those cases it is important to increase the workouts according to our level. You can push yourself, but if you go to hard to quickly, it can destroy your body months or sometimes even more sometimes.

After reading Atomic Habits I can understand this video better, especially point number 2. If you identify with something and you will lose it, you will feel depressed. There was an example in book that said: "I'm a great soldier", think about it, how would a person feel if his whole identity was being a soldier, and he would just lost it. He would be depressed. Same with fapping, "yeah im on day 57 of nofap", you get obsessed with that, it also becomes part of your identity as said in the video by Hamza. You relapse and you feel depressed again. Stop counting days, stop thinking about it, dont make it part of your identity, You just dont do it.

About overtraining. You’re not hurting yourself by getting sore. It’s the byproduct of a workout. However, if you training the same muscle group a lot in a gym session, you won’t be able to keep up the intensity because you’re using your ATP stores quicker than they replenish. For optimal muscle building, you should also allow each muscle group 2 days of rest between workouts.

Overtraining is usually from cardio type activities very rarely from weightlifting and the overtraining from cardio is also bs imo cuz people in the Congo run for hours in a row everyday or at least most days and they’re fine but also rest is important if your training properly for strength or hypertrophy studies show the results will be way better if you do say 15 weekly sets to failure per muscle wirh 2x per week frequency you’ll get way better results then someone doing say 30 sets to failure per week per muscle with 6x per week frequency meaning you train each muscle do failure 6 times per week imo that’s pretty obvious but some people overdo stuff thinking they are being more productive when it’s really the opposite so set up your programs with ur iq and if you don’t have enough knowledge gain some from the people who have been doing it for years and actually know how to look at a study with an iq like alpha destiny gvs Paul carter Joel twinem Ryan jewers or others with true knowledge and non wasted experience that really wanna help

Your understanding of the studies is wrong. Maximum hypertrophy is acheived by doing a TOTAL of 15-20 ish sets a week (assuming you're natural), with those sets split between multiple days ( IE, Dont do all 20 sets in a single chest day) The idea is to not overtrain, allow the muscle to rest, and progressively overload. key here is NOT OVERTRAIN. So yes, overtraining is very real in weight lifting.

@@zachjensen6098 Men Going Their Own way. It means men who completely avoid dating women. All of these men blame their own failures on women, they do not realize the problem is them. I would love for Hamza to go into detail about how weak it is as a man to blame all of your problems with women onto not just women themselves but society and the entire world. Most of them are not willing to have kids, which is also sad to me. I don't like seeing men give up.

judging them or insulting them doesnt solve anything instead find ways to help other men im tired of seeing men fighting each other most men on the internet are just bullying each other, now you see guys fighting for these worthless labels like alpha male, sigma high value men whilst calling each other simps, betas or incels or low value man and whats funny is when women adopt and use the same derogatory insults we use on each other as men we get angry at them🤣🤣🤣

@@kaletovhangar Yes that is probably the case with most MGTOWs. They should take out all their anger on the tyrannical laws and government, not really the women who take advantage of it. And they should stop believing that there are no good women, even though there are millions of women in the US.
