Finally a small space with a full size bed that is accessible from 3 sides. . .no one is crammed up against a wall. Love the TV wall piece. It acts as a room divider, but voila when it disappears the whole apartment opens up to one large space. This apartment is very livable. Genius.
I have put my double bed against a wall in every single house that my girlfriend and I have ever lived in, there's nothing objectively wrong with that.
@@serenakoleno9338 because then you don't have to move the couch, it stays hidden below. I guess you could also make a lower couch but then older people might find it harder to get up from it. Pros and cons I guess.

Like the layout, but those dining chairs look very uncomfortable. Not a fan of dark counter top and bathroom sink. Clever way to hide TV. Nice balcony and love plants. Smile, you did 👍. TFS
It looked almost institutional before. It made me feel claustrophobic! But now it's so open but still cozy. I love the table, the pull out and the balcony is my favorite! Lovely colors too, and great lighting set up. I love the mirror wall across from the windows. It creates a bit of a scenery feedback loop and makes it feel that much more light and open!
Like he explained in the end, houses in Brazil are sold bare: just walls and floors with no finishing or built in furniture. The toilets and sinks/faucets are simple cheap models that are there just so you can inspect your unit as it's being built to see if the drains work. The owners are suppose to undergo full renovation once the building is finished. If you rent it's almost the same: the owner might leave kitchen cabinets on as they sometimes prohibit wall drilling; the walls and floors will be finished - but NO kitchen appliances or furniture at all. It's our culture in Brazil, we don't like cookie cutter houses.
Based on its smart planning and multifunctional solutions, this is one of the best studio apartments that I've ever seen. It even has a fully equipped kitchen 😍

Because if they're truly cost effective, this channel would've posted the cost breakdown from day one.
I really think that will vary so much between countries and based on so many different factors. I would hate to get bogged down with all the details of the money and wondering about all the variables. No, let us just look at the lovely furnishings, get ideas, and be inspired by these wonderful spaces!
Those custom set pieces I'd assume would cost someone with average salary an arm and a leg. They aren't even modular. Some aren't even practical for the space, just there for aesthetics and "art's sake". This is a home of a bourgeois who can afford to spend thousands of dollars for a "tiny" home, let's agree with that. I'd appreciate if they'd start to feature more upcycled furnitures or modular pieces that you can build yourself, for half the price. Just tired of seeing more of art projects promoting expensive designer pieces probably sourced from IKEA or other upscale stores for 200 bucks than more practical, *cheaper* tiny home solution alternatives achievable for everyone that recommend similar furnitures built by grassroots carpenters or bought from Amazon for reduced price tags. I'm not singling out this designers/architects, but if you could ask them, can they honestly say that someone from a favella could afford this kind of home?

This is a proper small space design, with no pretentious color/design plays, overselling of basic ideas, or dictating the occupant to change their lifestyle because the design looks fancier. Weldone!
Wow - another brilliant design by Studio Papaya! So many designers create showpieces that are actually uncomfortable and feel sterile. Studio Papaya spaces are always gorgeous warm homes, with colour and texture, where real people can live comfortably. Real people need to take their jackets off, and sometimes they just want to lie back and watch tv. To accomplish all of this in such a small footprint is truly amazing! Bravo.
This is amazing! I absolutely adore the multifunctional furniture and the big windowfront. I feel like this is actually the best way of using the entire space. 🤩
That is a fantastic apartment! I love the brilliant use of hidden storage spaces including that ingenious slide-out room divider unit for the TV and extra storage and I always love double-duty furniture that can transform (like that dining table) to serve as storage or can have different uses in the daytime versus as nighttime sleeping quarters. The colour scheme and use of medium tone wood materials creates a very natural, inviting, warm, open, and airy space and the balcony with its wall garden expands the space while bringing the outside in. Bravo to the designers! :)
One of the best small spaces I've seen. That yellow-paned shower might be my favourite thing. Everything works well and is clearly well-thought-out down to the last detail. Adequate natural light and so much versatility with the furniture and surfaces. Nicely executed!👌
YES finally! An amazingly designed small space. Absolutely blown away! It is so functional with great small living solutions. Good sized kitchen, the wall that slides out, the sofa that can also be rolled to that stunning balcony, the table with the hidden chairs. Genius. GENIUS ❤❤❤ Congrats to these designers!

Love this one. Strong built in design in my view is key to getting the best out of small spaces and this one is a great showcase. The TV is brilliant and all the furniture is functional and attractive which makes the space homely v the clinical box.
This is one of my top 3 small spaces! Love the slide wall because i hate looking at a tv and tables/offices take up space when they are not used for very long
Such amazing design and function. I love how they maximized vertical surfaces-- even on the patio! It's hard to believe how much versatility there is in such a small space.
It's well designed but a bit faulty at execution. The furniture seem too heavy, she struggled with pulling the bed and the wall unit. Need to rework those hydraulics to make it easier to pull, otherwise back pain in the long run for sure.
What a bocó comment. Last weeks video looked like a normal small apt to me. The seat of the chair seems very small because of the back part and does not seem ergonomic. The back could have been designed differently. The bed stays high when opened.
Quite high/raised beds are a thing in the Americas though, no? Although I agree that this one seemed almost like you'd need something to stand on to get up onto it.
The thoroughness of the design is evident with dignified gestures to separate or take advantage of the spaces, the changing social area is a clear example of articulating the home based on passive or active activities. An excellent work..
I always say I could never live in a tiny space until I see something so beautifully and thoughtfully designed as this micro apt. The finishes are gorgeous and the convertible & moveable furniture is so smart. I never understood why so many small space dwellers don't make use of a murphy bed since it allows multiple uses for a small space. This one did so to great effect!
This space is a third the size of the apartment I live in and yet it feels bright, airy and not at all cramped. True, it would probably only serve one person, two at most, but even so. Lovely use of colours and materials as well!

Lots of people who are commenting may not be aware, but having this kind of furniture in Brazil is super expensive for locals... inviable for peasants, maybe ok for very high income people (or the ones willing to live on debt) 😂
I wish I had such a big window and terrace. The sliding tv is neat in principle, but at the end of the video it looks a bit wobbly as she's typing on her laptop, it's not ideal for working or meal prepping. I'd probably built it differently, like tv on one side and bookshelves on the other (I never see bookshelves in such projects) but it would turn out too thick I guess. Or a 180 degrees rotating tv, so you can watch it from different angles (while dining or while relaxing on the sofa). This would work with a narrower table though, and requires a more complicated cable management. Also those chairs don't look that comfortable if you look at her posture.

It is great work. As a thought experiment I emplore the consoderation that, despite the extra work required to move things about; the work of walking from one area to another is mitigated in this kind of apartment. I see a future in which we chose to optimize our living spaces at least partially this way simply because it offers it's own convienence when done right. Só que antes de começar a assistir esse vídeo eu pensei: que adianta ter inspirações se grande parte dos aptos são fora do Brasil e com isso, impossível comprar certos itens??? Eis que pra minha surpresa o apto do video é do Brasil!! Adorei!!!
Wow, this tv forniture blows my mind, very genious
Favourite episode so far this year!!
thanks! this made me realise that i will need a balcony in my small apartment, that i'm looking for right now
It is great work. As a thought experiment I emplore the consoderation that, despite the extra work required to move things about; the work of walking from one area to another is mitigated in this kind of apartment. I see a future in which we chose to optimize our living spaces at least partially this way simply because it offers it's own convienence when done right. Also I hope those castors are silent for the downstairs neighbor.
