Yeah, as someone who lives in a 1 bedroom condo twice the size of hers, I wouldn't work from home unless I had a special reason to stay home, because otherwise, I wouldn't be able to stand it.
For real? I find it a bit clutter and toooo much stuff lol. She needs to create a closed closet system or something to put her stuff away in. As someone with sensory issues, I’d be losing my mind in there. 😂
It's very cluttered. More baskets and totes to "free" up the space would be smart. It doesn't look decorated at all, it looks like she doesn't fit in her own space.
I live in a 420 sq ft space and know the feeling of having to be deliberate with EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE. OF. FURNITURE. It takes me a month to plan, explore, dwell on, and test furniture ideas out so that everything fits, is aesthetically pleasing, and works with my everyday life while not making things feel cramped.... And she's done an awesome job of fitting things in - right down to the projector and clear side tables. That murphy bed is genius and soo necessary.
I wanted to hate this so bad given how cramped the space is but Elise has made wonderful and smart choices for her apartment that I have no choice but to love and admire everything!! I get that there's no going around it looking cluttered 'cause it's a studio, but I love how it looks very lived in and that every nook and cranny has function and purpose. 😍😍
We totally get it - studios can feel cramped, but Elise has really made it work by putting so much thought into every detail. It's great to hear that you can appreciate how cozy and functional it is despite the small size. She’s definitely embraced the "lived-in" vibe, and it shows!
I'm with you. Not boasting but my walk in pantry is 150 sq ft so I was horrified at the thought of having to live, eat, cook, sleep and bathe in only double that space. She has done it so well. I think the Murphy bed is a huge plus but her decor makes it look beautiful too.
It looks cramped because it can't be 300 sq ft - I refuse to believe it. It is less than 220... I live in 30 sq m and I do have waaaay more space (with small separate bedroom)
The actual design of this studio apartment seems very well done, but Elise has taken it to the next level with her design, art, lighting, etc. The wallpapering of the door is genius. It is really cozy and comfy, and I think I could actually live in a space like that - as long as you switched the highrises out for trees instead! Great to see Toronto/Canadian spaces featured!
As a former resident of Toronto, I am always happy to see apartments from a city. Few years ago I lived in Downtown as well and could be Elise's neighboor. This apartment should be a tutorial for Architects how to arrange small spaces. Murphy bed is absolutely a key to have living space. I cannot think of any upgrades. This is much better arrangement of a space than many of experts. I've recently saw a house tour of a profesionally done apartment and wanted show this as example how to do it right.
I like the projector idea it makes the night so instantly cozy. Imagine it’s raining outside what a bliss to be able to enjoy movies with a coffee in the bed! 🛏️
This is the nicest micro apartment I've ever seen!! She did such an amazing job with all the colors and textures. Love the orange couch, and the door wallpaper. Perfect job utilizing all that space, especially with the murphey bed and projector.
I LOVE that wallpaper on the door! I can't imagine getting it to fit around the deadbolt and the door handle, seems like it would be difficult. She's organized it very well, I'm impressed!
This is such a well-decorated space! 😍 I love the blend of colors and I just see what a tidy person you are. Oh, and the projector and lights??? My highlight of it all!!!🎉🎉🎉 I'm inspired! ❤
This was so fun to watch! I lived in studios most of my young adult years, so I also learned how to make the most of a smaller living space. Great tip about choosing larger artwork. It looks more deliberate and makes the wall it occupies feel more generous. I love the way you defined separate activity zones, and while you have plenty of things to keep yourself comfortable, it looks well organized. The furniture units effectively create a more contained kitchen area. I did something similar using an IKEA desk when I lived in an efficiency studio.
Loving it, it really looks like one of these apartment videos but made realistic😂 Like this could be how a friend's house looks like on a normal Sunday ☕️
I love this small space. She has really made it feel quite large with the use of color. The clear tables are definitely the way to go. I could totally live in this apartment.
Absolutely stunning! I love that the colors are not too crazy and are actually very calming and beautiful! I also love the Asian culture pieces and decor! Very very cozy and beautiful apartment.
Absolutely! Elise did a fantastic job creating a calming and beautiful space. The colour palette really adds to the cozy vibe. Glad you enjoyed the tour!
I live in a 235 sq ft w a sofa bed. storage for sheets, comforters and bed pillows are the bane of my existence. a well designed studio, cutely decorated. high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows keep it airy.
The city is another living space. So going out and other spaces in the condo make it worth it. If this wasn’t in Toronto or an urban centre it’s not worth it.
@@MindfulMya I think if youre an extrovert, definitely. But if youre an introverted person it can be really hard to make this work especially with working full time from home, it would be so difficult. hats off to her for making it work

Actually our first apartment with now my husband was 183 sq ft and there were more space than here and we cooked and everything. So many of you say she has great storage. I agree but she doesn't have a lot of space and room to breath. These storage solutions make this studio cluttered. Love the way she decorated and gave me some inspo for my own place! But living in TO, I know this apt is probably like $2400. Living in Toronto is SO expensive and that's coming from an American who lived in L.A.!
Wow. So well thought out. Was thinking that she had to move the couch back & forth every morning & night, but no. Also luved the projection screen. Great tiny bedsit. ❤
