It's not childish stuff, it's what is in your soul. You have to do what is natural to you. I am a sixty year old man, I have several teddy bears, I like them, I don't care what anyone thinks. Be anything in this life but never be dull.

Fully agree! This is technically a room for rent. Studios have to have a full bathroom and a bedroom to qualify as living space in most countries. If it has neither? It’s considered room for rent, not an apartment.
Hence why all those “shoeboxes” in Manhattan are just rooms for rent, not “studio apartments”.

I'm 36 years old, female, living in Germany and I ALWAYS get kinda judged for my "tiny" 26m² apartment that I've been living in for 5 years now. I honestly LOVE it. It is affordable (which is the most important to me and nearly impossible to find in a big city!) it's peaceful, cozy and it is MINE. Every single day I am simply grateful to have a roof over my head and a warm bed to sleep in and I will forever furnish and decorate MY save space however I want, because I get to. I love love love watching these types of videos because I just love seeing different perspectives/cultures/living styles! It really widens one's horizon. Thanks for sharing this, I just love how authentic and fun your apartment is and how much of yourself and your friends you pour into it! 💕Your comment on how living alone can be a little lonely so you like to visually "keep your friends around by their art" is beautiful and so relatable! Whether you plan to live there long- or short term, I'm glad you have a cozy place to stay at and please NEVER apologize for a rather "childish" taste - other's opinions don't EVER matter and everyone should just do/surround themselves with what makes them happy, ALWAYS! 🤍

I was probably your age during that era you collect, Y2K, and I still keep my “childish” things and still buy more. I’ve only got rid of what breaks or whatever I don’t want to keep, but not based on others or anyone. Hell, my husband still buys me that stuff and now I also get it for my grandkids. 😁 Even current AirTag cover for my car key-ring is just a glittery CareBears one, and I love it. You don’t have to change for anyone; when you find the one they’ll love you as you are.😊

This is a beautiful space. This wouldn't work in a large apartment but in a small space like this it's perfect. And it's not childish. It's so cute, it fits you. And if it makes your home life relaxing and rejuvenating then that's what matters! Home is supposed to relax and recharge you, not stress you out.

I am a Canadian expat in the U.K., and I have a handful of pieces of “art” my friends back home have made me. The only stipulations are, they have to have made it themselves, and it has to have Canadian element and I love each one and the creativity my friends have shown.

I love your tiny apartment, it’s your personal and safe space. I like to think of it as comparing to myself and others, you are so blessed to live in a foreign country and get to experience this at your age. When you get older, you will cherish this moment in your life. I’m 35 years old and my husband made a game room in our house. I thought it was childish at first, but then I started to collect things and put it in his room. I’m an adult but I still like to have that solitude of feeling like a child With no worries.

I love your tiny japanese apartment and your style particularly the sakuras and it's ok to like your "childish" stuff, there are always people that will judge where they don't match/ comprehend it, but you only have one life, live it the way you want it to live, not how someone dictates how you should 🩷
I personally have babyish items in adult sized replicas (I like to do age regression to cope with stress and other things) and trying to make a convertible nursery to "normal" room in my small flat, adult size
    Much love, as always,

When you dont have alot of floor space the best thing to do is use up wall space. Shelves help alot. Put em up high and maybe get a big enough stepping ladder to be able to reach the high places.

You are truly a genius when it comes to maximizing space. I mean... I'm more like a minimalist, I just live in a "normal" size apartment with my wife and our cat, and is more for convenience so it's easier for cleaning or if we have to move someday, but you! You have like five or six times the things I have, and you managed to not only make it fit in there, but to keep it nice and tidy and it doesn't even look cluttered! I mean... we can see that's a very small apartment, but you took advantage from every inch and still make it look nice and warm and everything is in its own place... I don't know. Just genius! 👏🏻👏🏻
(By the way, I'm also a very nostalgic person when it comes to my childhood, I was born in January of 1990, so 90's stuff and Y2K stuff is my vibe. I still have some things like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon cards, my Game Boy Advanced, a bunch of little Pokémon figurines and I even still taking care of my Tamagotchi Gen 2!)

I lived in a place 2x this size. Still not a big space, but I liked it. My safe place was always my room, and it felt like my apartment was just a more comprehensive version of my room.
Def doable for a single person and I would take a space like this any day over having roommates.

🌸I LOVE YOUR APARTMENT!! 🌸And I don’t think things that surround you and make you happy, childish at all! If I were living in that apartment, things would look almost exactly the same. I have a Hello Kitty kitchen, and some My Melody and Hello Kitty dinner ware, down to the silverware, and knives! I have a LOT of the things I see in your place. We have the same taste it seems! I would LOVE to know what the huge Hello Kitty on your night stand is for!! I saw that it has buttons on it, and even though I don’t have a clue what it is, I WAAAAN ONE! but I have Kitty and Melody everywhere throughout the house. It’s just so happy having them around. OH! And I just got a My Melody suitcase to go with my Hello Kitty one! I have cherry blossoms around too. Oh, and btw, I just turned 57, and I’ve loved Hello Kitty since she first came out in the 1970’s. I wish I still had everything from then. 😢

I agree. When i lived alone in my 3bedroom, I rented out the other one for income, and i filled my room up with clothes and books. I also got a cat to cuddle with. I would’ve gotten a rabbit as well. A cozy home is way better than a cold, stoic home, with no character. As a designer i can tell you not many people choose minimalism. It’s just not reality.
