It’s also considered a fire hazard and safety issue tbh, almost an illegal living space because what if they can’t get out their front door due to a fire?
I feel like it should be illegal to call this an apartment and also should be illegal to rent something like this 💀 the world we live in is insane. You decorated well, it's very cozy❤
I think it's fine. Definitely not for everyone, but it's really not any worse than some dorm rooms. Very doable for a young adult without a lot of cash.
I graduated in 2000 to hear it being called vintage, and old is strange. Also, don't call it childish, it's fun and if someone doesn't approve they are just jealous.
@@saraha7632 I graduated in 2000 too! It is so strange, but I used to wear "vintage" stuff from the 70s and it would make my mom say how strange it made her feel. Now I know lol.
Im a minimalist living in Tokyo as well my apartment currently is abt 25m^2 1K and i couldn’t imagine owning that much stuff. Its very interesting and amazing how you’re able to compactly organise them!!
I was thinking the same. I'm not a minimalist but that much stuff would drive me nuts. It's crammed everywhere. I kept thinking how much larger the space would feel if even half of that stuff got deleted. But to each their own I guess
i live alone and it's sad and lonely too, but everyone i explain it to doesn't live alone and they all say ''it sounds great, i want to live alone'' and you don't know how validated you made me feel that im not the only person who finds living alone to be sad and lonely
I also lived alone and it was really lonely, I felt sad and cryed sometimes. I'm not alone now and really grateful that I have a person with me. But it took some time at first :)
That if it’s her own flat and she can make modifications and has spare cash to do it. If you are gonna mess with the stairs you must do it right and make sure they still reinforced and you won’t fall after.
I live in the Netherlands. A lot of students go live in student homes etc while studying. However we usually pay around 600-1000 euros for a studio apartment room in which you often have to share a bathroom/kitchen with others. I love your apartment. Despite it being quite small I'd love a tiny apartment without having to share anything. Love from the Netherlands
I am a 38 years old woman and I loved your space and decor! It doesn't matter if it is small. It is yours! And Childish? Nah-ah! Not childish, at all. Never allow people to diminish what makes *you* happy! If it makes you happy, you did it, girl! -PS: I am also the kind of person that collects stuff and decorates accordingly (Everything is Toshihiko Seki and Gundam related, in my case)- Hugs from Chile.
Wish someone could tell me these words. Because many people who I met or knew and know sometimes tell me things like I like childish stuff or listen teenage Music or dress not like my age people. And it makes me feel sad. Because I don't feel all my life I have friends, real friends. I really alone.
3:05 some of the unorthodox ways you use your apartment is pretty cool, like that hole in the floor is originally meant for cold storage like hardy vegetables and jarred food, not as cold as a fridge but can sensibly be used like a cold pantry. And your built in toilet sink is cute being used as a gem stone fountain/sink.
im 21 and even if i turn 30 one day, i will still keep buying things i like whether it is hello kitty or my melody. You should do what you like and you dont owe anyone a explanation. Wishing you the best journey in Japan
Watching this made me so anxious. I’m not even claustrophobic but this made me feel trapped. Your apartment is super cute though! I just don’t think k I could ever live like this without going crazy. 😅😅😅😅 Oh my goodness what you said about living alone and it getting lonely and sad is so real. I lived alone for 1 year in a studio apartment and I essentially filled my space with plants so I never was truly alone I always had another living thing that kept me company and reminded me to drink water lol.
this is so tiny! it feels really nice also, except for the shower, it looks like a nightmare tbh lol. i could see myself living in this. really cute deco, not too crowded even if u have a lot of stuff. good vibe, i like this vid
Your artsy apartment looks cozy and nice. You did a great job utilizing your small space, while keeping open areas in your loft and living room. I think you have a normal amount of stuff, but you are in an unusually small (micro) apartment. You may think you are messy, but that mostly is because you have limited space, and you are not able to have separate areas to do your hobbies. I hope the next place that you live is bigger and near a grocery store.
hi ! i was living in japan in a tiny apartment too and its just like you said, its important to decorate and feel cozy bc is the most intimate thing for you. im happy to find your content. feels more raw in a chill way. maybe just like my experience too. nice to meet you silvie
I love your place. I live in Osaka with my family. It’s not childish. I collect vintage items I’m 50 next month and our house is packed full of anime figures and macross stuff. Do what you love!
I definitely wouldn't like the shower. I've had a shower like that before & it was so frustrating trying to wash areas on my body that I need to twist & bend like a pretzel to reach. Is your chair comfortable? If I sit in a chair like that for too long my body aches.
I recognized that perfect blue tapestry immediately. That was the first movie where I saw a micro apartment (the main characters lives in one) and everytime I watch one of these micro apartment Japan tours on RUclips, i instantly always think of that movie. So your perfect blue scarf/tapestry/thing is actually so fitting for me personally 😅 I love it
As an adult, I still love very cutesy stuff like patchwork quilts, crotcheted amigurumis, plushies, etc. I remember as a teenager just wanting to look "cool" for others so I got rid of all that stuff, but as an adult I furnish my apartment with whatever makes me feel happy since my apartment is my happy place. Your apartment is very cute and has warm happy vibes.
For one person living alone that is perfect, so lovely!! And your my melody stuff is adorable! I'm 36 and kuromi obsessed.. no shame, it makes us happy 💙
Your apartment is so cozy and cute! It must be really hard to thrive in such a tiny space, but i'm honestly so entranced by small apartments, especially if they're decorated all cute like yours. The thought of having to think through how you decorate and what you can buy calms me, as i like to collect, but the amount of things i want to own often makes me anxious. I hope i get the chance to live in a tiny space some day, even if it's to dim my fascination for them and build a better relationship with collecting and owning things 💖
Thank you so much for showing what a micro apartment can look like when it’s furnished! I loved absolutely every thing about your decor. I love pink and Sakura and I think you did an incredible job of decorating your space.
Love your apartment! You were so efficient with your space. I love the Aoyama area. Even though it's more of a business district, it was still one of my favorite stations to stop at for good food when I was living in Tokyo. Please be careful and take care! You shared quite a lot of info about where you live and now people know you have real Chanel handbags, so just be mindful when you're walking home to take different routes as often as possible.
You've made such a tiny space into something lovely, and actually you've quite inspired me, as someone who wants to get on the property ladder and is going to have to start with something tiny
Your loft is the cutest thing ever. I'm really curious about how did you move to japan and your experience in general in such a different country. Also you said that you travel a lot, so I hope to see more vlogs about you and what do you do! 💕💕
i relate to what you mentioned about seeing your loved ones gifts around your room. seeing little things that people have given me in my room can sometimes be a nice reminder that im loved :)
Woman in her 50s here. I love all of the cute things and the artwork. I definitely decorate our house with things that my family and I like to look at. It's in no way designed to impress visitors, though it is meant to be comfortable.
This is a beautiful space. This wouldn't work in a large apartment but in a small space like this it's perfect. And it's not childish. It's so cute, it fits you. And if it makes your home life relaxing and rejuvenating then that's what matters! Home is supposed to relax and recharge you, not stress you out.
as a Sanrio fan I always said that if I had the opportunity I would live in a house FULL of Sanrio things, even the cluttery or the toothbrush would be Sanrio themed xD So I'm very happy to see I'm not the only one.
I am a Canadian expat in the U.K., and I have a handful of pieces of “art” my friends back home have made me. The only stipulations are, they have to have made it themselves, and it has to have Canadian element and I love each one and the creativity my friends have shown.
I love your tiny apartment, it’s your personal and safe space. I like to think of it as comparing to myself and others, you are so blessed to live in a foreign country and get to experience this at your age. When you get older, you will cherish this moment in your life. I’m 35 years old and my husband made a game room in our house. I thought it was childish at first, but then I started to collect things and put it in his room. I’m an adult but I still like to have that solitude of feeling like a child With no worries.
I love your tiny japanese apartment and your style particularly the sakuras and it's ok to like your "childish" stuff, there are always people that will judge where they don't match/ comprehend it, but you only have one life, live it the way you want it to live, not how someone dictates how you should 🩷 I personally have babyish items in adult sized replicas (I like to do age regression to cope with stress and other things) and trying to make a convertible nursery to "normal" room in my small flat, adult size Much love, as always, ~ Mila👒💕
When you dont have alot of floor space the best thing to do is use up wall space. Shelves help alot. Put em up high and maybe get a big enough stepping ladder to be able to reach the high places.
this is my dream for when i’m older!! i’d definitely prefer a slightly bigger space but i’d love to just live in a place full of what i love and my style :)
I could tell while you were showing us round that this is your security blanket. I’m amazed you have managed to create such a beautiful space … it really must be challenge coping in such a TINY apartment. I hope you get the chance to live with some other people soon, I think you might need others around you to be truly happy.
i love all of your collections, thanks for giving us a look into your intimate but cozy personal space! I have a similar space setup where i pretty much live in my tiny artist studio, but its decorated with all of my kawaii, goth and anime knick knacks and art gifts from friends. Your space made me feel very seen ❤
You did such an amazing job making everything feel cozy and not too compact. How do the prices of eating out compare to other places? Here in the US it can be very expensive to eat out/uber eats, so am curious how this cost factors into living in this space?
You are truly a genius when it comes to maximizing space. I mean... I'm more like a minimalist, I just live in a "normal" size apartment with my wife and our cat, and is more for convenience so it's easier for cleaning or if we have to move someday, but you! You have like five or six times the things I have, and you managed to not only make it fit in there, but to keep it nice and tidy and it doesn't even look cluttered! I mean... we can see that's a very small apartment, but you took advantage from every inch and still make it look nice and warm and everything is in its own place... I don't know. Just genius! 👏🏻👏🏻 (By the way, I'm also a very nostalgic person when it comes to my childhood, I was born in January of 1990, so 90's stuff and Y2K stuff is my vibe. I still have some things like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon cards, my Game Boy Advanced, a bunch of little Pokémon figurines and I even still taking care of my Tamagotchi Gen 2!)
I’ve seen a handful of Birkin dupe videos & this one looks super close to the real one. (The leather doesn’t look too grainy/vainy) I brought a dupe Birkin a while back but was afraid what the luxury community would say if I made a video on it lol. But now you inspired me to make one because I have some thoughts on the Birkin bag in general Can’t wait to hear an update on *regbags* !
I lived in a place 2x this size. Still not a big space, but I liked it. My safe place was always my room, and it felt like my apartment was just a more comprehensive version of my room. Def doable for a single person and I would take a space like this any day over having roommates.
I love this video, the vibe and organization but I have to confess everytime I hear early 2000s as old, it breaks my heart, for me it was only yesterday :( new sub here.
I am claustrophobic so It would be difficult to stand there for 2 minutes and not sweat or want to puke but generally it's not that bad. You made it look cosy and cute. I wish there was more space to shower tho.
FALLOUT! I’ve got the same stuff and I love it. I love your tiny apartment and I get it. It’s amazing how much stuff we can get in tiny spaces and how careful we get with getting new stuff. Just got done living in a converted school bus for 4.5 years with my husband, cat and dog, so it’s very familiar to me.
Your apartment is so gorgeous, a little tight in the living square where the computer is but sleeping on mezzanine levels makes the place seem spacious. It is popular in Hungary with high ceilings and mezzanine for beds. I love how you decorate the place and especially the pink theme and the sleeping area. Apart from needing to do ballet, I could live in this the way it looks now ❤
I love small apartments! I love that all your stuff makes it look so cozy. I am teaching here in Japan and my school provided the house I live in, but its really big for just me and I never even use one of the rooms. It's basically just empty and all my cute fun stuff is in one area.
I love what you've done with your space! I really like how you decorated your toilet. Putting crystals in the washbasin is so aesthetic! I love the 'healing and relaxing while taking a dump' idea!! I want to do that with mine too! I could see you having mini art and toy displays in some of the stair cubby storage too! :)
🌸I LOVE YOUR APARTMENT!! 🌸And I don’t think things that surround you and make you happy, childish at all! If I were living in that apartment, things would look almost exactly the same. I have a Hello Kitty kitchen, and some My Melody and Hello Kitty dinner ware, down to the silverware, and knives! I have a LOT of the things I see in your place. We have the same taste it seems! I would LOVE to know what the huge Hello Kitty on your night stand is for!! I saw that it has buttons on it, and even though I don’t have a clue what it is, I WAAAAN ONE! but I have Kitty and Melody everywhere throughout the house. It’s just so happy having them around. OH! And I just got a My Melody suitcase to go with my Hello Kitty one! I have cherry blossoms around too. Oh, and btw, I just turned 57, and I’ve loved Hello Kitty since she first came out in the 1970’s. Kinda wild that RUclips recommended this to me since my room is also pink and I also have a bunch of Hello Kitty and My Melody things, too lol so happy to see someone else has similar tastes! 💖 thanks for sharing, I have now subscribed 😊
I agree. When i lived alone in my 3bedroom, I rented out the other one for income, and i filled my room up with clothes and books. I also got a cat to cuddle with. I would’ve gotten a rabbit as well. A cozy home is way better than a cold, stoic home, with no character. As a designer i can tell you not many people choose minimalism. It’s just not reality.
I wonder if putting mirror panels up on the ceiling of your loft (or ceiling in general) would really make the space feel more open for you! Beautiful lil cube you got otherwise 💕
love your videos. I never really lived alone in my whole life (28, married with a child) I always had to make compromises. Looking at your aesthetic and how it is too much and too pink, I just love it. You are doing what you want, buying what makes you happy, go girl! I did subscribed.

You're apartment is adorable. But hearing Y2K described as "really old" just makes me feel so old! Lol 😂 I'm an 80's child.
I said “EXCUSE YOU?! OLD?” Out loud. It puts it into perspective when you hear people describe what you lived through as an aesthetic. 😅
I think for most people in their 20s y2k is stuff from their childhood, hence old. But it wasn't that long ago, imo.
I was born in 56, I about choked when she said that. Lol, I'm the crypt keeper!
I’m gonna make you feel even older: anything that is 20+ years old is considered vintage… so therefore juicy couture is considered vintage
I feel like it should be illegal to call this an apartment and also should be illegal to rent something like this 💀 the world we live in is insane. You decorated well, it's very cozy❤
It has a toilet and shower, so this one doesn't bother me like some do.
exactly its very damagig to mental health
@@KatieBellino yea but theres barely even any space for it..
I avtually think I'd prefer a tiny apartment like that.
I think it's fine. Definitely not for everyone, but it's really not any worse than some dorm rooms. Very doable for a young adult without a lot of cash.
My 18-year-old self from 2000 would very much approve of your decor. How exciting for you to be living such an exciting adventure! Best wishes!
@katm5903 that's awesome. Weird getting older.
It's cute, but I don't think I could live there. I feel so claustrophobic just watching the video. Thanks for sharing!
I'm sorry to hear that. I've lived alone most of my adult life and I couldn't ever imagine wanting to live with anyone else.
-PS: I am also the kind of person that collects stuff and decorates accordingly (Everything is Toshihiko Seki and Gundam related, in my case)-
Hugs from Chile.
And your built in toilet sink is cute being used as a gem stone fountain/sink.
don't be ashamed of liking what you like as long as you're not causing any harm to anyone/thing. love your apartment!
im 21 and even if i turn 30 one day, i will still keep buying things i like whether it is hello kitty or my melody. You should do what you like and you dont owe anyone a explanation. Wishing you the best journey in Japan
Watching this made me so anxious. I’m not even claustrophobic but this made me feel trapped. Your apartment is super cute though! I just don’t think k I could ever live like this without going crazy. 😅😅😅😅
Oh my goodness what you said about living alone and it getting lonely and sad is so real. I lived alone for 1 year in a studio apartment and I essentially filled my space with plants so I never was truly alone I always had another living thing that kept me company and reminded me to drink water lol.
that loft made it so cozy. I like it. If i was single and no kids. Hell yeah. Plus Hello Kitty Rules
this is so tiny! it feels really nice also, except for the shower, it looks like a nightmare tbh lol. i could see myself living in this. really cute deco, not too crowded even if u have a lot of stuff. good vibe, i like this vid
Wow, you packed a lot into that tiny space. It's really cute. I like it
$570 USD for such a tiny apartment is insane... You've decorated it so cute tho 🥺
I love your place. I live in Osaka with my family. It’s not childish. I collect vintage items I’m 50 next month and our house is packed full of anime figures and macross stuff. Do what you love!
It looks so cosy omg. I love your chiikawa collection too🩷
Thank you!! 😊
I'm a 50 yr old female and still purchase hello kitty and friends. I still play video games, too. You have a very cute home!!!
No disrespect, but you should defrost your mini fridge. It can break if you don't defrost it, and it's past a defrosting. Lovely space by the way.
Awesome tour ,you are very smart in organizing and placing all this stuff in your apartment.
Thank you! I'm so glad you like how I have everything organized. It really takes some effort to make the most of such a small space.
@ you’re welcome
Cuuute! Also you still have a lot of storage under each stair step!
I think your friend really captured your vibes in that drawing wow
This is a beautiful space. This wouldn't work in a large apartment but in a small space like this it's perfect. And it's not childish. It's so cute, it fits you. And if it makes your home life relaxing and rejuvenating then that's what matters! Home is supposed to relax and recharge you, not stress you out.
as a Sanrio fan I always said that if I had the opportunity I would live in a house FULL of Sanrio things, even the cluttery or the toothbrush would be Sanrio themed xD So I'm very happy to see I'm not the only one.
If it makes you happy be sorrounded by all your things, that’s really awesome. You live your life however u want.
Much love to u.
“So I always feel very relaxed when I’m in here taking a dump” 🤣 🤣 I loled
I absolutely love your space. You know who you are and that shines through in your decor.
It looks so cozy!!
Thanks 😊
I love your tiny japanese apartment and your style particularly the sakuras and it's ok to like your "childish" stuff, there are always people that will judge where they don't match/ comprehend it, but you only have one life, live it the way you want it to live, not how someone dictates how you should 🩷
I personally have babyish items in adult sized replicas (I like to do age regression to cope with stress and other things) and trying to make a convertible nursery to "normal" room in my small flat, adult size
Much love, as always,
~ Mila👒💕
your apartment is sooo cute, every inch feels purposeful and full of personality and art, it's "messy" and at the same time intentional and organized
Your apartment is VERY tiny, but I love how you’ve decorated it. It looks very cozy!
When you dont have alot of floor space the best thing to do is use up wall space. Shelves help alot. Put em up high and maybe get a big enough stepping ladder to be able to reach the high places.
Your space is full of love! That's so cute and cozy! I also like to store letters, drawings and trinkets given by my friends.
I'd LOVE to have a tiny house one day.
this is my dream for when i’m older!! i’d definitely prefer a slightly bigger space but i’d love to just live in a place full of what i love and my style :)
I'm Japanese and I live in Tokyo. And also I like KAWAII stuffs like a hello kitty🎀I was excited to watch this video.Your room is sooo cute and nice🫶🥰
Love the idea of filling your space with stuff that make you happy to feel less alone, I never thought of that ❤
Everything is so so cute!! Small but still I blessing to have a warm space to call home
(By the way, I'm also a very nostalgic person when it comes to my childhood, I was born in January of 1990, so 90's stuff and Y2K stuff is my vibe. I still have some things like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon cards, my Game Boy Advanced, a bunch of little Pokémon figurines and I even still taking care of my Tamagotchi Gen 2!)
omg my daughter would go crazy with your apt lol she loves Sanrio. It's lovely!!! I love it!
Your apartment is just beautiful, very creatively warming for the soul and scared. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.
I am 56 years old female over in the U.S.A......and I love your apartment. Never too old for Hello Kitty and My Melody❤❤.
Great use of space. ❤❤.
Love your mico apartment I also love Y2K fashion!
Thank you so much! Ahh yeah I get what you mean 😭 I don’t think it’s that long ago either but it’s considered vintage by the new generation 😭😭
I am claustrophobic so It would be difficult to stand there for 2 minutes and not sweat or want to puke but generally it's not that bad. You made it look cosy and cute. I wish there was more space to shower tho.
Omg I love everything about your apartment, especially the pink accessories
That perfect blue poster is so cute :)
And your loft is bigger than mine
hello kitty theme is so cuteee literally makes anywhere more liveable
I wish I still had everything from then. 😢
You don't need to be embarassed by things you love 🥰 I think the Hello Kitty and cute things are very charming!
Thank you for showing us your space! It’s SUPER KAWAII! 💓
Hope you continue to thrive there and collect more trinkets!
Please please do a video on how you got a apt in japan! Id loved a apt like this. Your place is super cute :)
Sure! I’m working on that next thanks for watching 😊
Truly a micro apartment. Too small for me, but more power to you.
I really like the decorations. They make it look quite cosy and cute.
These are my aesthetics, such a cute and cozy place you've built.
Kinda wild that RUclips recommended this to me since my room is also pink and I also have a bunch of Hello Kitty and My Melody things, too lol so happy to see someone else has similar tastes! 💖 thanks for sharing, I have now subscribed 😊
My fave thing in your apartment is your Sailor Moon rug beneath the pc! So cute!
I love how packed with cuteness your apartment is. 💕
The crystals on the toilet for an ethereal dump is so me
Lmao
I wonder if putting mirror panels up on the ceiling of your loft (or ceiling in general) would really make the space feel more open for you! Beautiful lil cube you got otherwise 💕
love your videos. I never really lived alone in my whole life (28, married with a child) I always had to make compromises. Looking at your aesthetic and how it is too much and too pink, I just love it. You are doing what you want, buying what makes you happy, go girl! I did subscribed.
Ahhh i love Perfect Blue too! Youve managed to decorate it wonderfully while still keeping it so functional. Good on ya.
Looks cozy and comfy. ❤
I would have more kuromi stuff lol
