i am so shocked to say that the first piece of furniture that you purchased might've been my late mother's! she had it in the kitchen hallway to hold her wine bottles & placed all her glass figurines on it! my mom & i had donated it together a couple of years before she passed. i had to double-check with my sister to see if it was the same one lol! so amazing to see one of my favorite youtubers enjoy this piece just as much as my mother did! 🤍

You know for future reference you could always paint your mid century modern textures with your rock and roll colors ( black, wine red, vibrant red, purple, silver, etc). That way you get both but with a coherent vibe. Or you could even just retain your wooden pieces to a dark walnut or chestnut stain.

Hey girlie I loved the makeover it looks awesome! I have one concern for your books as a fellow book nerd. The dowels on the shelf might lead to your books deforming overtime. I would recommend measuring the size of the shelves (a little bit more narrow so it fits) and just putting a piece of plywood on top of the dowels them your books on top of that. Also the red mirror looks a little heavy you might need wall anchors to make sure it's secure.

If you're afraid about getting a couch second hand, you can rent a carpet cleaner to clean your couch
