I was so impressed that I went and bought a Rally edition for myself lol! It's still in a crate and I have to wait 3(!!!!) days for the assembly :((( Can't wait to have a same smile on my face!

Picked my 900 up last week. Definitely going to run the wheels off of it. So much fun! When Spyders first came out I wanted one, but had other responsibilities. Every year I'd look and the price just kept going up on them. Can-Am definitely opened the door for a lot of new riders with this. Highly recommend trying one out.

Since I am going for my Learners in a couple of months, I am saving furiously to be able to buy one of these at year's end. Admittedly I will be getting the 600cc version as it will be more then enough for me but will be getting a few extras with it (passenger seat *with 2up suspension* & Side luggage pod) $19,500 NZD (around $13,000 USD) including taxes. Will be great as my first "Car".
This dealership's lady demonstrator has got to be one of the coolest people to review the new Ryker. Move over guys. This lady knows her stuff and can probably outryde half of us in the twisties. Well done!

Hi Ronni, great question! In sport mode there is no difference, but theoretically if you place the Rally in "Rally Mode" it should be able to slide, but I did not ride the machine hard enough to experience traction loss, except for barking the back tire under hard acceleration from a dead stop.

I dont believe that the Spyder is less responsive than the ryker, I have a 08 GS and an A 14 STS (LOVE THE ELECTRINICS INCLUDING THE CRUSE CONTROL! ) the GS is just a SUPER toy and will peel the rubber off the rear tire and create all kinds of smoke, @106 HP, the STS has 100 HP but doesnt want to smoke the rear tire as much. Both of the real Spyders have the 998 cc Rotax V-twin I have ridden a Ryker and like it but am not in love with it as the real Spyders. The Ryker is basically a miniture and stripped down f3 . I like the Ryker for its size not its looks, it is ugly just like the F3. It is fairly quiet. And a sweet little toy, with little to no storage, no place for my helmet. Although I may be able to add a sound system since the handle bars are round, for mounting speakers.
"Real Spyder" Can-Am as a manufacturer made it abundantly clear to us at the dealership level that Ryker and Spyder are two different machines from two different product lines, in fact, they share no similar components. I (the girl in the video) find the Ryker to be more responsive with regard to cornering and steering input, while the Spyder has it beat on acceleration. One way or the other, Can-Am is on their A-game with their current 3 wheel lineup. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Great question! The Rally comes with more aggressive tires, different accent color body panels, KYB performance shocks, hand guards, and "Rally Mode" which turns off all interference from the vehicle stability system, and gives you the most power.

The 600 is a ton of fun, and capable of riding on any road, it has less aggressive acceleration, and does not have sport mode (which is what allows for small burnouts). For me the answer is clear: the 900 is worth the extra $1500, but if you're just looking for a fun and easy to ride machine with a friendly power curve then the 600 will suit you nicely.

Hi Fishin Junkee, Thanks for watching and commenting! All models come as a single seater, however, a back seat (made by Can-Am) can be added to any model for 2-up riding. The 600 can easily reach and maintain 70mph, and the 900 had no trouble reaching 90mph.

The real questions are: 1. How often are you riding 2-up and 2. What kind of riding are you planning?
Well Martin, we also have that same question, unfortunately we've not outfitted one with a passenger seat yet, however, I will say that as powerful and nimble as the 900 model is, it will most likely not have issues carrying a passenger. Great question! Thanks for watching!

I'm glad someone finally found that little easter egg, ever since SpiderMan Homecoming, I've been referring to low-power high-traction modes as "training wheels protocol" The Spyder is for sure the right bike if you're doing mostly highway, but the Ryker is way more fun in corners and around town. Plus that price point.
I have been HAMMERING Can-Am to do something like this for YEARS! When they first came on the Market, they were much smaller than the current Spyders... and they got bigger & bigger as they added more electronics, and then all that storage... and soon they were no longer 'sporty' but rather were cruisers and touring bikes, complete with Matching Trailers... I would Still like them to have More Power from that 900 Triple... My Yamaha has a 998cc inline 4 that puts out over 165 HP..!! But I have had 9 Major Surgeries on my legs, and have been looking at the Can-Am bikes for a long time... So maybe I will have to go ahead and get a 900 Rally...and get it "Tweaked" by some friends of mine that are mechanics for MotoAmerica Racing Teams. (Smile)

I womped on the throttle just about as hard as I could, and it will do a burnout, but I think with most of the weight distributed to the front of the machine, it will break traction before it lifts the front. Great question!

Well, I am 5'9" and my knees were barely bent with the footpegs in the forward position, so I'm going to say yes, unless you're like eight feet tall...
The gas cover should have a lock in case some jerk wants to come up and just pour water or sugar etc into the tank. Same with the front compartment it just opens no lock.
A thought I had as well, but if you aren't familiar with the machine, you wouldn't even know where to look for the gas tank, or the front compartment. I wouldn't have known where to put gas in if I hadn't read the owners manual.
I agree. A locking cap is essential. It appears to have provision for a cap (3 lugs around the opening) but they obviously don't supply it. An option for later on perhaps, at only $$$$ plus tax. Possibly larger mirrors would help too. Despite this, I have put a deposit on a 600.
they'll go 105+ being stock. there's videos on youtube showing it. i would love to see how much more you can get out of them with the k&n air filter and exhaust upgrade.
After watching all the positive fake videos of people not having this thing for long, It seems like a cool bike. Then I got into the videos about how trash this thing is. So many issues with. Seem like it was poorly tested and rushed.

Probably not as fast, but with a curb weight of only 615lbs, I would be willing to bet it is more agile. Or at least it feels that way to me.
they'll go 105+ being stock. there's videos on youtube showing it. i would love to see how much more you can get out of them with the k&n air filter and exhaust upgrade.

I have been over a 140 miles an hour
After watching all the positive fake videos of people not having this thing for long, It seems like a cool bike. Then I got into the videos about how trash this thing is. So many issues with. Seem like it was poorly tested and rushed.
Thanks for watching and commenting, like any brand new model release there are going to be positives and negatives to any vehicle. I can say that of our customers who have purchased the Ryker there has been an overwhelmingly positive response, with only a few issues thus far.
