You could have kept this a secret, but no, you’ve chosen to share it to the public. That result is just *chefs kiss*. So dreamy and out of this world. Thank you for your generosity!!
I kind of felt like I was watching somebody’s dream. Thank you so much for making this simple for people to understand how to film because you caught something so beautiful with your videos.
It is one of the most impressive demonstration on how you can use your phone for vlogs and make films, great work! I love that "minimalistic" setup too :)
I just discovered these types of lens exist for iPhones as I have just been wondering how I'd love to take film shots of my life to document as I get older so I can watch them when I become as old as time or for the people after me to see my youth. These shots got me so melancholic and I just wanna thank you for merely posting this video even if I can't get these equipment right now, you gave me a goal, friend. ❤
Thank you, that means a lot. One of the reasons why I do video is to make memories of time and people around me. And yes, you don't need fancy equipment. Stories and emotions are number one
Just picked up the iPhone 16 Pro and this is the EXACT video I'm looking for when it comes to setup and look I'm going to achieve. So happy I found this! Subscribed for more and to watch through all your videos.
Beautiful video! Just a quick reminder. Lowering your ISO too much can actually reduce your dynamic range. I came across a couple of RUclips videos discussing this for iPhones, and they both reached the same conclusion. The most practical ISO level for iPhones is around 1600, where noise can be easily cleaned up in post-production, and you still retain maximum dynamic range.
OHMYGOD THIS CHANNEL IS A BLESSING. NO GATE KEEPING, NOT LIKE THE OTHERS. im a beginner so i appreciate this a lot. i subscribed right away! cant wait to watch more of your videos!!!
Getting that Herzog vibe from this. Thanks for the inspiration and thanks for sharing your gear. Will definitly buy this setup when it becomes available for the 16 pro.
man this just makes me want to switch to iP:hones; I have a pixel 7 right now and accessories for photography like this are so sparse. this looks incredible. Absolutely subscribed!!
Your know-how is incredibly amazing. I'm taking references from it. I have a hard time shooting indoors when shooting in strong backlight with iPhone log mode. I'd like to see your iPhone POV video as well.
Okay question!! So im buying this setup this week, actually in a couple days, which nd filter do i get? On urth theres a couple options (also thank you for this video!!) ND2-400(1-8.65 stop) filter ND2-32 (1-5 stop) filter Plus + ND64-1000(6-10 stop) filter Plus+ ND8-128(3-7 stop) filter Plus+
I love how it looks and is sick. Also the video at the end is beautiful. It gives nostalgic vibes. Amazing ❤ my only caveat is I own an older iPhone model, also not too much of a fan of the square video cut out, but it works for you to present that nostalgic feel. Nice work. Thanks for the share
@@AlexSels oh I mean just get a small ND filter with a screw-on clamp straight to the phone. I think it won’t cost you more than $100. No need to get the sandmarc lens
@@vedroelcitra ahh I see. I might try that. But I really feel you can cover a lot of this up during the color grading process. I just like how you made the iPhone look like a slick “camera” 😂
The things that's pulling most of the weight is that hdr log setting not bc it makes the picture look nice cause it doesn't, but bc it allows the footage to be editing in more detail. And that 25fps pulling some of the weight too
ahora si se puede grabar como en las publicidades de iphone, desde el 4s se vendió la idea o concepto pero ahora es realidad. que hermosa trabajo de colorización tambien :)
Wonderful footage!!!! I notice that you used a step-up ring to connect your 52mm Urth filter to Sandmarc telephoto lens. May I ask if I buy a 43 mm filter, do I need a step-up ring as an adapter as well?
I actually purchased the 43mm filter for this reason, thinking, "oh, it's going to fit perfectly!" However, what I realized, after it arrived, is that since the 43mm filter fits the lens perfectly, the lens will see the bezel that holds the glass of the nd, so what I see on screen is a perfect circular vignette on my footage. I'm actually in the process of exchanging it for the 52mm with step-up as he's done here, so hopefully you won't make the same mistake.
Amazing footage ive finally found a look that i really like in your content. Ive been thinking i needed so much gear to achieve a great look and you made it so simplistic. Thank you
This is amazing and inspiring! Interested in your thoughts on filming in 25 fps (rather than 30) when playback will most likely be on devices with 60 hz refresh rate. Does "judder" ever bother you?

Super well formatted video, and the results of the rig and your skills speak for themselves. I did have a question in terms of storage / whether you need to carry around an SSD or not? Are you just doing quick offloads of video files every day when you edit?
Did you have some crazy vignetting with your footage before you cropped it? I got the same lens and filter and it’s giving me these awful, shifty vignettes on the edges and I don’t really know why or what to do about it :/
