  • As the business grows, so does the workload, the amount of human team members and naturally, the number of birds we keep. In this episode of the Owl diary, you will meet three owlets - a barn owl, a Bengal eagle owl and a Ural owl. What are the differences and how do we hand rear them? Also, highlights from one of the flying shows at the Yorkshire game and country fair and Ryan compares his two Steppes Eagles.

Hi, did the barn owlet come straight off its parents to you or was it imprinted before you got it at 4 weeks of age?

Hi, although we spoke on the phone is always good for me to respond on here too. The barn owl was taken from the parents at about 2 weeks old and then the hand rearing began with the breeder.

Do you think Eurasian Eagle Owls have to always be housed with selected other EEO’s. ?
