Okay. I have seen enough. I am buying every single Fuel album right now. This is ridiculous how they are not more popular than they are. Every song is just freaking amazing. Fuel, NEVER go away. I repeat, NEVER leave us. You are one of the few bands that still freaking has it. My goodness, this is fantastic...
I don't think this is common knowledge, but Carl Bell actually wrote pretty much everything for Fuel, almost single-handedly. Brett's vocals really brought it to life, for sure, and when they replaced him with Toryn that was one of the worst moves ever made. Brett has rebranded Fuel, with all new band members (he's the only original member now), as Carl has since dropped out of the scene. I miss the hell out of this band.
Boomstick1911, well the original lineup is gone. But, the current lineup with Brett is pretty good. The lineup with Carl and Toryn was not Fuel at all. I can deal with Brett's version of Fuel, more than I can Toryn's version. MrDisturbd1, Thanks for the info! I am aware of all of it surprisingly though. Lol. I really have grown to appreciate Brett's re-branded version of Fuel. Toryn was just not doing it for me, not even close.
+MrDisturbd1 Well said. My exact thoughts and couldn't of said it better. I too miss the original band members, Brett Scallion, Carl Bell, Jeff Abercrombie, Kevin Miller. I really hope one day they smarten up and get back together. Having separate bands... Brett's band and Carl's band to me means they want to make music so get over whatever the problem they have because it must be something and just play together like the old days. We would all win if they did that. They would sound/ make a better band like in the old days and we would have the old Fuel back making more awesome rock songs. Not this new computer generated shit these days. The old Fuel was the bomb 💣💥. And my favorite album is "Something Like Human". Just my opinion. 🎙🎼🎵🎶🎸🎻🎹
Way back fuelie here, and I just happy that there is an incarnation of fuel period lol...I'll take what I can get, although Brett has to be the singer cause the ones that came after were just not up to the challenge. Currently on a binge of Fuel *sigh* love it!

I’ve been obsessed with Fuel since I was 8. My older sister and I blasted Sunburn all summer in 1998, the album doesn’t have a single bad song. They weren’t as “underrated” as people think but they definitely deserved more recognition than they got.
I was in my mid twentys in the late 1990's, and I will confirm that they were not obscure for sure. There top 2 songs are known know, but there minor hits like this one are largely forgotten currently. I cannot remember the last time I heard any of their songs on FM radio.
This band, this album, this time... who else thought it would always be this good?? They, like the 90s, were so raw, experimental and hard hitting! Little did I know then, this would become the good ole days!
Heard this song in the car today with my 14 year old son. There's no way I can make him understand or feel this the way I did back then, but I'm so glad I can share it with him.

They opened for Kid Rock back in the day. I was so excited they did...i had their album sunburn and enjoyed their performance more than Kid Rock😂 definitely underrated band. Shimmer is my favorite song but this one is my second.❤
They were definitely not underrated at that time, just all but forgotten these days. Fuel had a huge following
Why are we so deprived of amazing music like this today? There's nothing like it. Makes me sad man!

How could someone just not love this band is beyond me? A band that's literally pure class.
I've always been a fan but when I saw them at Montage Mountain in PA Mar 2023, I fell in love all over again.
Most of their songs suck is why.
But don't get it twisted... This is a bomb track.
Because their history is A MESS 😂 first two albums are total classics though
Bands not the same without Brett Scallions. But still love their work. Saw them in 2016 and it was a great show
Their first three albums are great, after that almost nothing.
All 90's band really kicked ass, noshirts. Awesome stuff

Brett Scallions is the sweetest dude you could ever meet. I met him twice and he was such a sweetheart. Love you, Brett!! ❤
This band is one of those “PERFECT SORMS”. Try to replace anyone of the members and I just wouldn’t be this amazing band that is FUEL

Storms?
The intro in this song is simply stunning, spectacular!
Glad I had bands like these during my high school years. Today’s music sucks. 📠
Hugely talented..
Criminally underrated..
This is a 90's band if there ever was one lol.
Fuel so simple but effective
supercrazy, yep and a great one.
Fuel and Helmet were criminally underrated
No one quite sings like him. In the late 90s, most male singers tried to sound like someone else, but his tone and timbre are totally unique.
Im not sure why but something about him reminds me of Layne Staley singer for Alice In Chains. And you dont get ANY better that Layne Staley or AIC.
Rob Thomas, and Brett are the best singers of the late 90s, in my opinion. People tried, but them 2 have their own ways.
I saw an interview where the drummer said Brett couldn't sing worth a shit. I definitly seemed like he had some shitty feelings toward Brett Scalions.
Kurt Cobain had a similar grunge sound, but no one else i have heard is like this
I still get this song floating in my head from time to time. Love it.
It’s why I’m back!
I took my son to meet these guys when he was five years old. He knew every song by heart. He is 25 now and we still love this band.

swimming in a paper cup
Try to own the one beneath the skin
Held up to the flame 'till singeing
skin begins to draw and tuck
Never told there's a chance to win
What couldn't be, wouldn't be now
Swallowed the pill
Drank to the fill

In this bittersweet, in this bittersweet now
Hold your hands up to the sky and try
so hard to rise above
But everything is beating down
