This is the second episode of the series however we might have said 3rd in this. Apologies
btw guard are trillions
sauce: just trust me bro, there are trillions of humans on earth (and its one of the biggest wich means that there are other planets like that ) and most of them are quite well trained and equipped
oh, and lasguns are not worse gun on tabletop (plus saying lasgun is like saying gun, each regiment has a different lasguns and many larger ones have 2-6 so lasguns are inconsistent in lore portrayal)
Do you guys have something against chaos?
I literally left to look for episode two...
I should've known Bricky was going to go on a tangent with this lore the second I realized his legs weren't visible
+
Orks, Sororitas and Ad Mech prove that you can achieve anything as long as you believe in it
That's pretty much the imperial motto
the most interesting part of the lore is that if the orks were to meet face to face with the emperor, the emperor would have a power boost just because the orks believe that he is strong
"I would be shot in my home tomorrow if I didn't mention the Death Korp of Krieg"

Dice Check: Admech is really hard to get into for beginners
Me, just starting out: *perfect*
Admech were my first army. More combo-oriented and technical weapon systems than Marines... but a hell of a lot of fun to play; and detailed minis that can be a lot of fun to paint.
I don't play but their army is sooo difficult to paint.
I feel like they say hard for beginners because it's a little expensive and an absolute bitch to paint especially for people whose new to painting minis.
Being a new player and Admech is a painful love affair.
3 years later, that's me with Guard now, bro xD
While it is great to hear them all talk about their armies, I love Bricky's passion when he speaks about his armies. I'm an Imperial Guard player myself and his emphasis on the Guard being cool because they are the ordinary men and women is the same reason I love Guard from a lore perspective. They're relatable to us.
Also as a Guard player, I feel the disappointment with how Guard are right now. While I love the changes to how you secure objectives and the introduction of Secondary Objectives in 9th, it's hit the Guard HARD. They have a hard time holding onto objectives, and I hope their upcoming Codex will address this.
They just need some solid deep hard love man...my guard army gets dumpstered now :(
Any idea when we're gonna get our codex?
@@Dragonspirit223 when all the primarks come back and the space marines are skull fucking chaos. So never is my best guess 😭😭😭😭😭
@@Dragonspirit223 The next three codexes to release are probably going to be Admech (confirmed), Sisters of Battle (I think it’s confirmed), and Orks (speculated). Codexes are released roughly every month, so you shouldn’t expect a Guard Codex for at least another 3 months.
Can't wait for the xenos!
I too can’t wait for xenos scu-I mean friends
-definitely not the inquisition
We just want to say hi!- The inquisition
On the Mechanicus end, I'd like to mention that in the book "Titanicus" by Dan Abnett, it shows a wonderful idea of what a schism of faith looks like in the mechanicus. Some believe the Emperor is the omnissiah while others believe he is but graced by the Omnissiah. It really gives a nice insight into Mechancius day to day as well as relations within the imperium.
Dan Abnett in general is a great read, especially since he tends to focus on stuff that is usually looked over (like the Mechanicus)
I’m surprised there was never a discussion of the custodies main named character kitten and his definitely canon relationship with a biggy tiddy tau gf, I love his special rule “good step-father”.
Hmmm yes
Yes yes very canon, no doubt. Im waiting for GW to release the pillarmen units for custodes anyday now
Cadia did not die as long as one cadian still draws breath Cadia stands
"If any army needed a refresh..."
Eldar players: Gasp! We do! Have you seen our aspect warriors? Our poor warp spiders?
"It was them"
Eldar players: [Long drawn out superior sigh]
Man hearing all this about the admech makes me glad I chose them at random when I started a couple years ago
Sisters of battle: space marines with extra steps
Sisters of battle: space marines but better
it's kind of 'pick and choose' your space marines. what do you want to be great at today, rather than being generalists that are good at everything
Extra steps? Sister have far fewer steps
As someone who is just getting back in to 40 K, and not playing since fourth edition I really enjoy your channels videos.
Hello, I have a a "small" request for the editors:
would it be possible to have "pop-ups" during the video that explain specific terminology used by the guys?
I'm asking cause I have a really hard time following everything (can't effectively multitask for personal reasons) and it would mean the world to be able to pause a couple of seconds to read info on screen instead of having to go look for terminology online and then go back to watch the video. If its a huge hassle just forget my comment, but even if it was possible even partially it would be so cool. Thank you for the awesome content
You can’t fool me, Bricky. Sisters can field hoards too!
I feel like there wasn't enough appreciation of my boys the Imperial Knights.
I don't think the agents of the imperium were mentioned either, with the assassins and the inquisitors, perhaps the fact that they weren't mentioned was lore accurate as it's hush hush to many worlds.
+2, -3 wound on hit, kill on death, reroll 1s, 3s and 7s, ignore cover, use the blarn on the gooble and the snallygast in the labradoodle. I understand NOTHING of what they say but god damn is it entertaining.
A moment of silence for the Sisters of ... well, Silence. Not even mentioned with the Custodes...
"as like an intro army they're not that great" lol i got 2 boxes of kataphrons and a box of serberys raiders headed my way and this is my first army.
honestly admech are a decent first army, better than grey knights which they recommend as they are a tangled mess of weapon options and psychic powers compared to most other armies.
Admech are a great first army. Not a great one to paint; mind you; but they're a great gunline army that can actually fight - unlike Tau; Admech have some level of melee options that work great in 9th.
Also; Kataphron spam.
The freaky part about the Mechanicus worshipping the Omnissiah is that they actually have a point, they're basically "talking" to the AI inside the weapon/vehicle/you name it. Sometimes literally.
I chose AdMech as my first army. I'm amazed at how not shit my models look. The omnissiah guided my hand.
Tom's face when Bricky was talking about all the sisters' powers and busted abilities is wonderful
I've never painted minis and just got my first start collecting box after getting into the lore and gameplay. I picked up AdMech, I'm very scared after this video, sounds like I'm biting off quite a bit to start. Let's fuckin GOOOOO
Just take it slow, and keep your expectations within reason, and you'll do great. Admech have a lot of little details, and very diverse color schemes. But it's not so bad once you get a few minis done. You'll get the hang of it fast!

Loved watching this in entirety so much detailed information and the edits make it just so entertaining, well done love to see more of these as your hobby fuel ignites with an undying burning passion. Shoutout to Jon P. with the books everything I play tabletop I always have my rules and books on the table double checking whenever I can. Love that guy.
Oh boy! I’m loving how this is going! Great content and great editing! I hope this kind of presentation doesn’t disappear with other games as Magic! (Which I hope they play commander because I see this guys just sucking around playing commander and playing fun dumb stuff which I’m already supporting and excited for what’s to come!)
26:30 is the most aggressive drinking I think I have ever seen. not surprising coming from a space wolves player
hell yeah brother!
the edits in the firs tone minute was better then space wolfs could ever be.
One of the best things for me about the Imperium is that you can soup the hell outta them. It's strongly discouraged by the rules if you wanna be competitive, but if you're building a story around your army you can throw all of these and Space Marines together according to the rules.
I'm also a huge Sisters Simp, and I love their lore. In a setting where fanaticism is the normal, they are considered fanatics. They watch *everyone* for traces of corruption. The church, Imperial Guard, even the Inquisition (which they work with closely). Another thing to note, is that the cherubs IIRC are not actual babies. They are vat grown flesh to look like babies.
hey! I started running AdMech since december and they're not super hard to paint/build, they have some areas where it sucks to build but its absolutely not a reason to discourage you from picking them. they are harder to build but realistically, not by very much. mini building/painting is like a mix of legos and coloring books. AdMech is like the more advanced lego sets, they're still pretty doable but it might take a little longer
Hearing you talk about the armies, I just want to collect and play them all. Might actually buy every single combat patrol because of you
I love these videos! I would like to see one on daemons, eventually.
Do you think you guys will ever upload paining/building sessions or anything like that?
Yessir!

For Anyone looking to get Belisarius cawl: he is EXTREMELY FRAGILE I don’t handle him that much but 4 different pieces broke during and after painting and each at least broke another 2 times soooooo yeah. Be careful with Cawl.
So I just realized that their are about 5 Imperium armies: Space Marines, Guard, Sisters, Mechanicus and Custodes. Marines & Guard are supposed to come in many colors, but Sisters, Mechanicas and Custodes are specifically colored like the Imperium banner. Red for the Mechanicus, Black for the Sisters and Gold for the Custodes.
the editing is on point. Great work guyz!
I agree with everything you have said about the Admech, and of Course they were the army I decided to start with
The level of editing put into this is amazing keep up the great work!
I mean, a cherub servitor would most likely be vat-grown, and grown for that specific purpose
Cool video guys. Are y'all planning on doing a "recommended starting purchases" video for each army?
Edit: have Matt slowly exhale vape from behind some figs, record it. You're welcome.
Cherubs are Vat grown I'm 99% sure, But man the editing and Brickys Nerdgasms make this so awesome. Also fuck painting Admech, I bought the start collecting box as my first ever army after making them I was so demoralised and then painting them just made me throw my brushs and paint around the room.
"They're probably not gonna get a new codex for a while..."
Little did Bricky know...

Great content guys, keep up the good work, seeing you having this much fun wants me to be there with you
A lot of ad mechs believe the emperor was the Omnissia when he first came to them
Fucking XEEEEEEENOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS?!
Guess I'll just finish painting my Plague Marines and dunking them in like... the toilet or something...
AdMech is my first and for now only big army and I kind of agree with Beast that painting all this cloth and some hard to get surfaces is pain in the ass. However it's also rewarding to see them smacking shit out of some armies, especially with 3+ inv man
*Imperium of man has an entire cult dedicated to machinary and turning them selves into machines
*Still primitive compared to Tau, Eldar and Necrons
Everyone is primitive compared to necrons. We are machines, we made technology that destroyed and enslaved literal gods
I could swear I've heard that outro music somewhere before... I can't put my finger on it...
I starte with a admech army and i dont regret it
Same, man
Hahahahahahaa bricky excited for a new guard codex hahahahaha
Glad i picked admech for my first army because i thought they looked cool lol
You did it right. “Rule of Cool” should always prevail, especially with your first army.
Bro the editing has me dying
Ad Mech: Imma pray this check engine light away.
"its not capped like everything else" the blood games veterans would like to speak with you
i want to know why we dont get more content of the lucious warhound titans. just sitting back there in all their glory.
The mechanicus believe in the omnissiah wich is basically the emperor but he's seen as a prophet of the machine God.
I have to say as much as I love sisters I really think their competitive level is very overstated, as they definitely still trend towards the lower end of the top tier, and they're only going to decline more as they become more common at tournaments and people get better at playing against them. Also "play them right" pretty much boils down to "play valorous heart and bloody rose" as their order traits are very much things that sisters need to actually be good, bloody rose especially as there's no point to running any melee unit as something that's not them as the order trait is massive. Also sisters are a very CP hungry army, with only GSC being more so, they rely heavily on synergy with strategems to get things done. I'm holding out for the new codex as whilst miracle dice are a good concept, the other orders need to be brought up to a level that's worth playing, perhaps giving other ways to get a 5+++ and assault doctrine on sisters so VH + BR aren't so vital, as well as making some strategems unit abilities instead.
Gaunt's Ghosts are now available for use. This amuses me.
Sheild captain in jet bike should never die? I went up against one myself and let's say 8 Sanguinary Guard on the charge in the Assault doctrine said otherwise. 40 attacks with encarmine blades usually removes anything they charge.
Currently building my own sisters army. So close too.
Oh~ You gonna piss of the Black Templars fans with that one.
loved the editing
I want to see someone play admech going hard on the skitarii...... just full horde list..... that would be pretty cool imo
The big issue with admech is just trying to transport any of it without breaking any of it like the skitarii backback rods breaking or the petraxii wings.
What about Officio Assassinorum and Sisters of Silence?
Me and my brother are starting out with Admech and Custodes I hope it goes well
i knew bricky would enjoy this episode
Description
Hey my name is Matthew Castro, my main channel is MagikarpUsedFly and this is my second channel where I upload daily vlogs
the omnisiah is not the machine god but the prophet of the machine god. Most of the Ad Mech believe the emperor is the omnisiah... others think he's simply blessed by the omnissiah. Just wanted to clarify I know the vid is old but still.
The Bricky episode is the best epasode
I watched the stream but the editing is so good I had to watch through this too

Quantity has a quality all of it's own.

Don't forget the sisters of silence
28:47 drugs are bad mh-kay

I think you've got the lore for Knights a bit wrong. They were made for war/protection OF farmers and other kinds of human settlers, not literally for farming.
