After an absence from my creative world for three years and no words for the years during that time, I look back on my cancer, my husband’s cancer and death, and my relocation from our home of twenty five years to a new town and condo and realize if I were to have had a word for the past it would undoubtedly have been SURVIVE. I have survived the last three years and going into 2024 I have decided my word will be one of hope, optimism, and strength. It will be THRIVE!

My word of the year is Determined. I am determined to do things that I have wanted to do but put off because life got in the way. Food, yes I like food. Scallops and bacon is one food I like along with whole belly clams. I am also determined to get myself a big chocolate bunny.

I already took on small step - even if it is just rearranging my room. Of course, I have other things too that I want to be more intentional about changing my status quo life.
Patience is a great word! I choose FOCUS for me… because I tend to be all over the place. Or, if I can hyphenate, focused-intentionality (is that cheating? 😂).

This year's Theme is Growth. It doesn't have to be fast, but I will move forward towards my goals after stagnating for a long time.
