My god that was so relatable.... writing down tasks for each day & trying to accomplish them even though on most days I didn't feel like. It felt more pressurising than being productive. Finally I understood the 'mantra'.... just do whatever you most feel like to do & that way much work/things gets done. Thank you for this video. I feel I'm not alone in this struggle ❤️

Best vedio ever. This happens to me too all the time . When I force myself I felt burnt and exhausted. I also used to think that I was lazy, but I discover when I do what feels best it always ends being very productive and relaxing. No pressure

Awesome! I think it depends on the person, i simply love routines, for example. I need them to have a nice day, but, as far as i'm concerned, people need to do what make them happyy and productive on their own wayss 🤩

  • @megxxns2657

one thing I do pretty consistently is make myself a list of three to five "need-to-do" pretty specific tasks each day that I have to get done (usually assignments due that night or the next day or something like the dishes) and then I have a list of "optional" tasks that I can do if I'm feeling particularly motivated to work on them either after I finish my necessary tasks or in between as little breaks. honestly this has helped me so much because there are times when I can stick to a rigid schedule but on the days I can't this has really improved my productivity and I always complete the things I need to do.

This was so different from almost every other video I watched on this topic. And it makes so much sense to me - almost freeing and still finding the appeal in productivity rather than thinking that I have to be productive. I started to see how it can be something I really look forward to. Subscribed.

Hi Victoria, thanks for sharing. I was not happy with myself for not able to follow strict time table and being consistent with my daily routine. I have tried so many time and I found it boring after sometimes. I thought I was lazy. But then I tried to go with the flow with my daily routine and I feel that its more suitable for me. I am glad to know that there are other people like me who is going through the same challenge. Flexibility works better for me. Now I appreciate every small progress that I make. I take breaks whenever required. If something does not go according to plan, I do not get upset with myself because I know that I am doing my best.

Finally! A better way to enjoy the day and produce habits that are flexible and making you happier. I love hearing that taking the time some days to remain in bed and then productive later in the day is very much a great thing. Flexibility is perfect. I have been doing this the past month after 2020 the change was necessary. I am sure there will be changes again but the mindset is be kinder to one self and simplicity.

    Very good video!!
Something that helps me a lot during this quarantine is not using my phone until 12.30pm. That way, I wake up every morning, motivate myself and stay productive without checking my messages and social media. If your work allow you to do that, I strictly recommend it! ❤️

I get what she’s trying to do and say, but what also needs to be taken into consideration is the audience to whom she’s speaking to:
Are you a single person who has a lot of flexibility in your schedule and have issues with self regulation or stressing yourself out with over-scheduling? This might work for you.
Do you have a scheduled, full time job you have to report to and 3 unpredictable kids to take care of? Probably will not work for you to this degree.

  • @gglilfluflichan5000

hello friend!! For sure, some beautiful people here have given you a great piece of advice. Maybe fear is preventing you from writing. But just start doing it, even if it is not "perfect" or even "good". Once you get into it you will feel the flow and make great progress. Also, try to break down the process into smaller tasks, so that it does not seem to be soooo huge (and therefore frightening). Wish you ALL THE BEST!!! 💗

@Bree Lewis Try turning your alarm off on days when you have very less stuff to do in the mornings, and while sleeping just think that you have to wake up early tomorrow. I'm sure if you try this for 2-3 weeks you could also wake up on your own...

While I am currently working through a possible ADHD diagnosis, I tried calendar blocking in an effort to get more done each day but I discovered how much it enhanced my already inflexible temperament because (by nature) it is really tough to adhere to a strict schedule...you can't control your environment 100%. So I have recently adopted a routine very similar to yours, where I check in with myself about once every 1-2 hours to see what task is best to do at that particular moment, and I feel a lot less anxiety as a result. It is amazing just how much the feeling of anxiety can make any task take 10x longer to complete.
This is a very helpful video...thank you so much!

this is such a wake up call. Here I am in bed at 12am thinking about how to start the week, what routine to follow, how to get things done and just stressing out. it was so relatable when she said that she thought she was just "lazy". It's a very difficult fact to accept that not everyone's personality is built to follow a set routine and for some people to be "productive" they just need to go with the flow. Me being one of them, this video really gave me hope and a new and positive outlook towards "routines"
*I'll try to follow this and update if it works for me!*

In a world where people on the internet (and society in general) are always "forcing" or "influencing" others to get up as earlier as possible to be successful, it actually makes me happy when I see a video like this. The world will be a much better place when we all understand that even tho "we are one", connected somehow, and going through so many things in our personal lives, we are also so different from each other, and that’s the beauty of everything. Definitely connect with ourselves and with our own flow is the key to everything. Thank you for sharing that with us 🥰

Loved this reflection Camila! I personally feel that there is no ¨one-solution-fits-all¨. I sometimes read comments like: ¨this would not at all work for me¨. And I feel that THAT IS THE POINT haha. No routine, set of habits or steps will work for everyone. Thanks for your comment, hope you have a nice day😊 ❤️

I think everyone has to try out what suits the most. Some like a strict schedule, some don't,some rise early, some late. The most important thing ist that we value and accept each other the way we are.

    • @romominiki1694

I think many people using this video for their excuses to being lazy. I don't know if someone wake up 11am then how their life would be healthy? Yeah in past I used to go to bed at 2 am & get up at 10am. That is so unhealthy. If your work is at night then you can do that but no routine thing is rubbish. You have to keep a decent routine. At least your bed time & wake up time should be fixed.

    • @luzdoinconsciente
      @luzdoinconsciente 2 года назад

@@romominiki1694 I agree! I used to have a fucked up sleep schedule and I didn’t like it either. I’d rather sleep early and wake up early. I personally feel better with that nowadays.
But I was able to change that because I wanted and because I realized it wasn’t doing me any good. That’s was my perception. I didn’t do it because someone told me I had to.
And I feel like real change comes from within.
      That’s what I meant.
One size does not fits all.
It’s sick to force someone to change if they’re simply not there yet. And if there is something the media and the society does is to tell everyone what’s good and what’s not good for everyone.
We should be the ones in charge and able to decide that, and also able to take the responsibilities of our own choices :)
