I assume you are talking about the Daiwa Australia phantom bait caster. I personal don't have any experience with it but judging by the specs and info on the website, it looks like an entry level reel with MagForce brake so it should cast well. Other components looks cheap and I have a feeling that it's not made in Thailand like the majority of the Daiwa reels. I could be wrong
I like those reels. My problem is the ergonomics. I had a Fuego CT. The brake dial is right where I want to put my finger and it annoys me. Wish they'd do something like they do with the Steez and kind of bury it in the side plate.
I have the Fuego and tatula CT as well and I don't like the ergonomics as well... greater caster tho. This new 100 frame is really comfortable! I used to get bruises from the old 103 frame not this one! I still accidentally touch the brake dial but not as much as the old frame
That's the beauty of the Daiwa Magforce braking system. For your general weight range from 1/8 to 2oz generally you don't need to touch the tension knob at all. That's why it's called the Zero Adjustor.
I thought the reels were ok but I couldn't get any type of casting distance at all. And I've been using baitcasteing reels for over 30 yrs. I think lews makes the best in the business. Shimano s are nice but they are to overpriced and they don't last very long after a while you have to keep oiling them . On the diawa the thumbar kept sticking and I had to keep constantly putting oil in it. The lews reels cast further never any maintenance problems super smooth retrieves. I think these Japanese Korean Chinese companies are just garbage. I use American rod's and reel's now bad experiences with the foreign stuff.
@@TTangOutdoors listen man I not arguing with you. You keep using the garbage you use. And I'll keep using my lews reels. Go ahead and pay three times more I don't care.
Why comment then.... good for you using what you love. Most people don't wanna or need to know the truth.... and have you used this 2023 Daiwa Tatula 100 that you claimed couldn't cast far? Every year the big brand continues to improve and bring new technology to their reels.
wow beautiful reel tom
Daiwa don't disappoint!
Bạn cho tôi hỏi . Máy câu này có dùng đc cần độ cứng M ko
Yes you definitely can use a medium power rod for it. Even MH is fine as long as you pair with the correct line.
@@TTangOutdoors thank
No problem!
I only use Shimano curda DC and slx DC. Now I am ordering this reel, I ve been wanting a daiwa anyways, thank you :)
No problem! Hope you have a easy time adjusting to Daiwa brake
I love my lew's reel but I'ma have to get this one ,nice to have a mix of brands .
Yea see what other brands have to offer.
my baitcasters all from daiwa because easy to use. 🎉🎉🎉
Me too! So easy to set and use! It's revolutionary.
I just ordered this reel today, thinking about pairing it with the Daiwa Tatula XT 7 foot medium fast rod. Any thoughts on this combo?
Awesome! That is probably how I would pair it as well! The rod will help you cast decent distance. What do you plan to fish for with this combo?
@@TTangOutdoors thank you! mainly small to medium size bass, I know a few small ponds with bass around 2 to 5 lbs
Yeah you have the perfect setup
@@TTangOutdoors thanks for the info!
You're very welcome
what do u think about the Daiwa Phantom baitcaster

@@TTangOutdoors alr thanks man love u! u got a sub
Thank you!
Just curious, have you caught anything real big with it yet?
Nothing real big yet. 5Lb bass and some 3lb walleye.
@@TTangOutdoors Okok nice👍
I‘m using shimano slx xg 2023 , old model slx far more good than new one
SLX 150?
What Line is that?
YGK PE1.0
Excelente trabajo. Felicitaciones!
Thank you!

the brake dial at least feels incredibly solid
@@Ardeact that's very important and so when you set the brake to 6 it doesn't jump to 2!
Yes definitely better than some of other older Daiwa bait caster I've used
@@TTangOutdoors The brakes are superior in my opinion. The difference between each click is substantial. I usually go between 15 - 8
So you never have to adjust for different weights of lures? Just have to adjust brakes? Amazing

You lure weight??
I talked about lure weight in the video
thanks bro for the test very nice...
Not a problem. It's a great improvement from the 2019 Tatula 100
What lbs test?
PE 1.2 equivalent to maybe 15lb braid in North America
Which lake is this
Pasqua Lake
What name rod
Tsurinoya Pterosauria 2

I just laugh at your comment towards the end. Please tell me which bait caster is made in America????
And by the way Lew's is 100% made by Korean. Look up Doyo Korea. You probably wonder why the Doyo reels look exactly the same as Lews
@@TTangOutdoors lews reels are made in my home state of Missouri.

Hey man hate to say it but at the time this video came out it’s illegal to be fishing
Just say it lol why hate to say it
@@TTangOutdoors idk lol just a phrase haha
Cuz you wanna tell me the bitter truth haha. Video was filmed in March still legal to fish. Editing takes time you know.
@@TTangOutdoors hahah not a big deal lol I just know the government can get bad about it just so you don’t have to deal with all of that stuff
I'm not that famous lol. I'm such a small fry for them to chase after... and I don't mind the hassle really I quite enjoy it lol
