That’s exactly what I feel. I saw Stevie Nicks and I was thinking how special it was to see a legend from my parents time even if she wasn’t in her prime. Now I get to go to these spectacular concerts and one day take my kids and make them be like “man I wish I lived in the ‘20’s”

68 years old here. Ive been in several bands since 1967. Discovered GVF on RUclips recently. MIND BLOWN!!!!!!! Rock salvation in the hands of youth.I love this band!!!

68 here as well.....also a musician many years ago....but a music fan since the early 60's......have recently been into all kinds of EDM....but just came upon Greta Van Fleet....and I am blown away......cannot stop listening .....to all of it.....all 4 of these guys put in 100%.....vocals, guitars, drums and the occasional keyboards.....Amazing Talents on display here....thank you GVF....keep it up
G.V.F. makes every other singer/band look like 'Romper Room'. Each member of G.V.F. are GIFTED. They've obviously put in time, effort and perseverance to take their gifts to a new level.
They won a GRAMMY already! They deserve 100 more for this album!!!!!

I’m 67 and having a bunch of super talented kids bringing the sound and spirit from the 60 - 70’s back makes your eyes wet 🤗.. just when we thought music drowned in sampling and computers, these guys shows playing and mastering a real instrument + Josh’s brilliant voice brings Rock back in the most promising way 👍🏻
My favorite this album. Who yodles in a rock song? Jake does and it made me ridiculously happy!❤

I feel like I'm a disciple of theirs telling everyone about the good news of Greta I can't shut up about it. Then I went and saw them live--I don't think I'm ever getting out of this rabbit hole.
I play their music in the morning and my whole day is better. We are The Peaceful Army.

I was cursed with a music taste before my time, and like most, or all of us, I grew up jealous of hearing people tell stories of seeing what were my favorite bands blowing their minds. All my "gods" were either dead, broken up, or winding down before I was old enough to take road trips to see them.
After hearing Greta Van Fleet, and becoming *unavoidably* obsessed with them, my wife tells me she bought us tickets to see them on their first 2022 stop, next March, in Kalamazoo.
My dad showed me Zep as a kid, and my mom had me belting it out to the greats in car rides. My first tattoo was the painting that the Swan Song symbol was based off of. My parents have been gone for a while now, and I really feel like this is going to be one of the best nights of my life. I can connect so much of what I love, again.

Kalamazoo looked like an incredible show
This band is transitioning hard, the drums are really taking a rush tone too. The way he is utilized his ride and high hat is awesome

Maybe the only band with raw talent
I was fortunate to see them last night in Nashville and they were awesome! I drove 4 hrs by myself, my 27 yr old daughter would have gone but had to work. I’m 64 and I thought I’d stand out, but at least 1 in 10 people were over 40. We know good rock when we hear it!
That's so cool! We were there Thursday and saw some many age groups it was such a delight to see.

Absolutely the best band in ROCK, or music at all, in decades. Nobody comes close to their talent.
Let me preface my comment: I am not a music critic and do not have a music blog site.
I am a non-professional drummer and lyricist.
I am a child of the 50s and 60s who grew up listening to the likes of the big bands of the 30's and 40's, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Elvis, Muddy Waters, Ray Charles.... on and on, following the proverbial history of rock and roll.
I first happened upon Greta van Fleet on RUclips when they were playing out of their garage. Despite the expected graininess of the recordings, it was very clear that this was a collection of musicians steeped in all of the aforementioned genre.
They were born into a musical family - music
is quite simply in their DNA.
So to my comment: the comparisons to Zep, Rush, Journey - add to these Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Moody Blues..... whomever, are spot on. And for good reason. This band GvF is bridging a generational gap that has existed for far too long. They're taking the past and bringing it to now in what I think is their own style, as it is now developing to be. Not since the Beatles have I seen or listened to a band go through such a rapid evolution of their music, instrumentality,
rhythmatically and lyrically.

It's Prince, it's Queen and it's Led Zeppelin but still unique, they are amazing!
Plus Rush, Journey, Styx, and Toto! Josh's pipes are undeniable, but Jake's also becoming a GOAT contender on guitar! wow! And that organ! Shades of John Lord and John Paul Jones both! Amazing!

I was jealous until I saw them in Fort Wayne Indiana and it too was a transcended experience. We were sitting pretty close to the front and I was bathed in rock and roll Glory for 2 hours plus. I'm pretty certain I'll never be the same.

Josh is a Heldentenor as far as I’m concerned and man what else needs be said! To those of you willing to think on a more spiritual note. I would love to know their story as in why they decided to come together in this life and do this.
The story is amazing there's two twins and another brother and his very close friend who used to jam out in the garage. Their parents brought them up on great music of various genres. The guitar player Jake, one of the twins, wanted to be in music but Josh the lead singer also a twin wanted to be in Hollywood but he chose to support his brother's dream and they started this band. One of their earliest hits was written while they were still in high school. Somehow or another the four of them have tapped into cosmic rock and roll magic maybe the same magic that fired all the historic bands of old. And they focus on love and beauty and amazing music and they gladly deliver it to their audiences each time they perform live.
You guys I can relate to....your opinion and feedback? It's almost like you have been in Bands yourselves? I have experience in Studio recordings (I sing) and I would think that the things you guys point out ..a lot of people woudlnt point out without being somehow close to the process.(I'm 48 now)
