I am having multiple Musicgasms right now. I haven't heard anything this reminiscent of classic rock in YEARS . I am now officially excited !! this sounds like Freddie Mercury and Janis Joplin collided then ate Kansas and ELO for good measure . They are the next musical legends...NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.

I hear Freddie a bit, but more I hear Geddy and even Steve Perry (Journey) in his voice. He's definitely got more top range than Robert Plant for sure. Maybe even more than Ian Gillan. One of the best male vocalists, ever, in terms of natural ability and talent. Finally finding his own / their own voice stylistically.

I'm italian, but is incredible how all of us independently the country we come from are touched by the same musical passages. the drums rumbling higher and higher at the beginning , the vocals ect.

Love that you hit RR at the Heat Above lyric. That drop down caught me off guard when i first heard it.
Go listen to the live version of this song--you'll love it. It shows how great these guys are as musicians. One of their best songs ever. They put out a version they did in 2016. The bones to the song are there, but they have turned it into a masterpiece by adding organ and strings.
This song reminds me of Yes, but they are completely original. That singer's range is crazy. He hits high notes like rarely heard from a male singer.
You also need to hear Heat Above (live). Just came out yesterday
It's insane how well he controls his vocals now, the live version sounds heavier in terms of rock than the studio version.

Josh has a great set of pipes in his voice, who would not like the sound of that voice. I still can't believe some idots give him shit for sounding to much like Plant, but I think it's a great thing. We've not had any new LZ from 1980 on, after Bonham died an the band broke up, so yes 42 years is long enough wait, just let them sing an don't judge them people. Ok, rant over, ha
