Josh Kiszka is easily the greatest vocalist around right now in my eyes, his range and power is unmatched :)

To help you out Josh is the vocalist, his twin brother on lead guitar and their brother Sam on bass and keyboards. Danny is on drums and is not related but both families are close. Danny recently won best drummer of 2021. They are all so talented. They have grown up with music their whole lives. So refreshing to have a true band with amazing. There is a full show from Red Rock you could watch - live they are extraordinary. They take their music seriously but not themselves.
This is the first song I heard from this group. It got me hooked! Now I'm going to see them live in March. This album is incredible. Take a listen to more of it!

I saw this group open for Metallica back in November and i was absolutely floored with the vocals this guy hits LIVE! unreal considering i had never heard or even expected to hear something soo good as an opener, i was fucken blown away period. See them whenever you can, will not be disappointed.
Now this my friend is the best reaction I have seen to GVF! Exactly my reaction when he first opened his mouth and that incredible voice came to life for the first time for me. Floored, blown away, and by far my favorite band of this era! I am 60 and grew up on 70’s and 80’s rock, and haven’t heard any that compared to the music of the 70s and 80s. For 30 years I’ve been hoping someone would come out that would strike me like the bands did back then. Greta Van Fleet has done that! They grew up 25 minutes from me in Frankenmuth, Michigan, and if you’ve never been there, it is probably the must visit in the state of Michigan and believe me when I say GVF has done Frankenmuth proud! They absolutely love these guys, I as do I! Beyond the music, these are great kids! They are grounded, they are thankful to us fans, they raise money for charities in Michigan, and probably elsewhere too, and it just makes you love these kids more! I hope and pray that they stay grounded like this, because this is a once in a lifetime band in this era! ❤👍

See them at an outdoor venue to allow Josh's vocals to soar. I saw them in a small enclosed ice hockey arena in Anaheim and the acoustics didn't do them justice.

You should check their other stuff out, the guitarist, the guy on keys and singer are all brothers. Josh (singer) Jake (guitarist) and sam (bass and keys). Josh and Jake are twins and Danny is the drummer! Danny plays 9 instruments and won rock drummer of the year!! They are amazing!!! You feel the passion when they play, I get to see them in March and I can’t wait❤️

the thing about greta van fleet is that they almost always sound 10x better live which is mind blowing. these vocals are tough to pull off period let alone be performed live flawlessly, yet josh does it everytime. definitely keep checking them out you, won’t be disappointed
I’m so glad you listened to them! Almost all their detractors have NOT even listened. They are all very talented and play many instruments. You have to see them in person!

Now you have to join us at Dreams in Gold! I just got back from seeing them two nights in Los Angeles, then one night in Atlanta. Headed to two shows in Michigan in March, and two nights in Atlantic City in April! It’s easy to get hooked once you see them live.

When Sam plays the organ, he’s also playing the bass parts with the pedals under the organ. This is a technique used by John Paul Jones and Geddy Lee other bass players who also double as keyboard players.

I think the word you were looking for when you said ‘mimic’ was emulate. Josh’s vocal instrument has already surpassed his inspirational feed. Greta Van Fleet is an amazing band who are second to none. There hasn’t been anyone that has come close in today’s world, which goes without saying especially regarding the ‘real’ music that is being played in this digital world that has lost its creativity… I’m sure we will see them for years to come.
