    The goal is to impart questions that they will take with them, and think about from time to time, praying that God will open their eyes to His truth, because the answers she gives and the passages she goes after, are very similar to many LDS folk who never truly read or study the Bible on it's own, in other words, they never allow God's word to stand on it's own in the Bible, because they were always taught that the Bible is unreliable, without truly doing any due diligence on their own, for if they did any real truth seeking, and did due diligence, they would find it would be impossible to have corrupted God's word.
    When they agree that God cannot lie or fail, they try to skirt around by saying "yes, but man can fail to keep their duties" which is a strawman argument, because we have God promising that his word would never fade away, and His Church would never fail, yet it did according to the LDS church and required a "restoration".
    I have learned that when they can use certain Biblical passages in their taught interpretation to fit their LDS theology, it is convenient, but when there are Biblical passages that clearly refutes Mormon doctrine, they fall back on "we believe in the Bible so long as it has been translated correctly", meaning, pasts mustard based on "their" interpretations, which are needed to make things fit their theology.
    I don't think most LDS members who try and support their faith, realize that they speak in circles of contradictions, but in their own mind, they do not see that.
    All we can do is to ask these great thoughtful questions to hopefully plant those seeds into their mind, and then ask God to give the increase in his time and give all glory to God for anyone who has their eyes opened, and they come to the correct Jesus and God of the Bible.
    I really loved that she was not afraid to show that Mormonism does indeed believe in a different Jesus than the traditional Jesus (Biblical Jesus) but it's also frustrating when LDS folk try and claim their Jesus is the Biblical Jesus, when the Bible does not support their "multiverse" Jesus, nor a pre-existence, or anything else taught in Mormonism, without having to use the LDS doctrine from D&C mostly.

    I have a quick question for those who might know. For the purpose of evangelizing, do you guys know if the LDS change anything in the KJV Bibles that they provide (on their free app for example)? I have a friend with mormon tendencies but is curious about Christianity. He is actually going through the KJV audio bible that is provided in the LDS app. Should I steer him away from that version? Thank you in advance.

      They have most definitely changed the King James version of the Bible. Joseph Smith wrote himself into it with a Joseph Smith translation
      Essentially Joseph Smith added versus that would make him appear to be a prophet that would come in the future

    Some Evangelicals and even some Lds people just don’t understand that missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ or its members do not have to show anybody that their beliefs are wrong, what we are taught to do is to show others what we learned by the witness of the Spirit to be right and how they can also find out, by themselves and the Holy Ghost, without a middleman, without the interference of an imperfect human being trying to convince them. If convincing someone of the truth was God’s way of bringing people to His Church, wouldn’t He have preserved every archaeological proof about all the miracles that He performed in the Old and New Testament, and the Book of Mormon?we would have hundreds of ancient records about it and about the life of Jesus and even easier, He could send a legion of engels to “convince” the world and show us which church is truly His. So why He doesn’t do that?? Just think about it

    • @blusheep2
      @blusheep2 5 месяцев назад +1

      The "witness of the Spirit" can be the witness of ones subconscious desires. That is why God provided us with inspired people and works. Prophets and scripture.
      I've asked people of many faiths, including my own, why they think their tradition is correct and others are wrong. Most answer that they've prayed about it and feel a peace. That means most people feel good about the faith they express. That doesn't mean that its from the Spirit.
      The Bible tells us to vet "revelation" because people tend to like what "tickles the ear." I'd wager there hasn't been many Mormons who went kicking and screaming into the church crying out, "Spirit, Spirit, leave me alone... You've made it clear. I submit."

    • @claytondaddy
      @claytondaddy 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@blusheep2 The witness of the Spirit is unmistakable, only those who truly experienced it know how distinguishable it is from human subconscious desires. Those that did not yet experience the Holy Ghost may say that it was only a human feeling because the only thing they have to try to compare to is a human feeling, since they themselves have not yet experienced the Spirit. They do not understand that what comes from God is infinitely superior than human feelings.
      That is exactly why Jesus said that “every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven” even blasphemy against Jesus Himself will be forgiven, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. The reason for that is because the witness of the Spirit is the ultimate witness, coming from the Holy Spirit to our spirit, something impossible to confuse or compare to any human feeling.
      In my view, you inverted the order of things when in your comment you said the following: "witness of the Spirit" can be the witness of ones subconscious desires.
      That is why God provided us with inspired people and works. Prophets and scripture.”
      I would argue that you totally inverted the order of things. God provided the witness of the Spirit to attest to us if the scripture we are reading or the prophet we are listening to are true, simply because a scripture can be altered by evil man and evil man can say that he is a true prophet, but no one, no one can imitate the REAL witness of the Holy Ghost.
      Just remember the words of Jesus to Peter: “for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”

    • @blusheep2
      @blusheep2 5 месяцев назад

      @@claytondaddy Don't give me that crap. That is a claim that can't be substantiated. Do you not think I believe that I've heard from the Holy Spirit? Of course I have. So where does that leave us? We both claim to have a witness from the Holy Spirit. I wonder what the Bible said about this. Hmmm. It told us multiple ways to "test the spirit." Scripture, fruits of the prophets, and of course asking the Spirit for wisdom.
      Honest question here... Why would God through His inspired apostle John have Him write, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world," if the witness of the Spirit was so obvious that only those who experienced it would understand?
      Does that make any sense? It doesn't. Its inconsistent to say that there is this unmistakable voice of God and then see in scriptures we are told to test the Spirits to make sure they ARE from God.
      _ God provided the witness of the Spirit to attest to us if the scripture we are reading or the prophet we are listening to are true... but no one, no one can imitate the REAL witness of the Holy Ghost._
      I cannot afford to make up my own theology. I follow the inspired works of scripture as I understand them. The Scriptures don't say what you say. It says quite the opposite. Yes, to Peter was revealed the truth about Christ, but did you notice how Jesus had to tell Peter this had happened? Never does Christ tell the Pharisees to pray about Him and the Holy Spirit will reveal the truth of who He is. He appeals to the power He came in and the scriptures. John, as discussed, tells us to test the Spirits and make sure they are of God, which would be unnecessary if the "witness" was as unmistakable as you claim. Do you not think that the enemy can also have a strong presence in your life? That he can't scream lies into your "ears?"
      And think about it. As a missionary you share your testimony to a stranger. The stranger is interested and so you give them a BoM and ask them to pray and tell them the Holy Spirit will provide a witness. This person may have never prayed before in their lives. Most likely they have never listened to the Lord much less built any skill of discernment to know the Lord's voice. They have already agreed to read the book and pray meaning they are poised to hear something positive. Its psychosomatic. They hear what they want to hear. They label it the Holy Spirit. You all label it the Holy Spirit, and then this feeling is pushed on them OVER and OVER and OVER again. Ignore the fruits of Joseph. Ignore the absence of any direct evidence for the BoM. Ignore the ponzi scheme bank. Ignore that he lied about his plural marriages to the church and his wife. Ignore that the papyri didn't say what he claimed and weren't written by who he claimed them to be written by. INSTEAD, just trust your witness. Trust your witness, trust your witness, OVER and OVER and OVER again.
      I truly believe that the Holy Spirit works in our lives, but it takes a real relationship with God to know His voice from our own. I don't have the luxury to ignore scripture and the scripture tells me to test all the spirits and it teaches me to look at the fruits of the "prophets." When I do this Joseph and his teachings fail so miserably.
      There is a real Jesus and its blasphemous to say he is the brother of Lucifer.

    No where in the Bible does it tell us there was more to come after the book of Revelation. The Bible was written over a 1600+ year period by 40+ writers. They were from 3 different continents and It was written in 3 different languages yet they all tell the same story just in a different style. Nowhere does the Bible say Jesus is the brother of Lucifer. Lucifer, Morningstar, was an angel, Jesus is part of the Trinity. The Father God, the Son Jesus and The Holy Ghost. God created all things, breathing and nonbreathing but only the Trinity is equal in divinity, glory, majesty, power, and rank. The religion is heresy. Jesus is not the brother of Lucifer, you can not become a God & we are not saved by Grace after all we can do. Also, where does the Bible tells us to Baptise the dead and that God was once a man? Baptism is metaphorical here. Baptism is used metaphorically many times like in Matthew 3:11 when John tells us he baptized with water for repentance but one will come after him who will baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire. No one lights anyone on fire, it represents spiritual cleansing. You're either saved (& Mormons are not) and you're baptized with the Holy Spirit or you're not saved. Baptized with fire in Revelation is used as the lake of fire. I don't know why you'd think you need to baptize the dead anyway because being baptized is not a condition of reaching Heaven. Being born-again is though. Doesn't do any good to baptize someone who wasn't born-again.
