Thanks for the invitation to interview! The OUTPOURING of genuine, heartfelt support has been incredibly humbling. I was told after the baptism that I'd be gaining an instant family, and that turned out to be so true on a much wider, global scale. Thank you everyone.

I was a convert too. Born Catholic, studied in Catholic school. I felt the difference strongly of how the holy spirit worked in me to have my testimony. The simplicity of the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the strong confirmation of the Holy Spirit , the oneness and everything just made sense to me . Our very life is for God's plan for us.

    Convert here from Manchester England,
As a small child I heard the word Mormon just twice that I remember it always stayed with me, at 24 I searched for the correct church as I knew there wasn't enough to feed me at my church ( non conformist - reformed Methodist) which I loved.
I looked into different churches, two sisters knocked on my door, It took me 14 yrs before my baptism (due to personal challenges)
God blessed me with Faith in him, when finally baptised I'm grateful for all the amazing spiritual experiences I've had ,
There's been 18 people baptised since, my Dad stated he'd never talk to me again if I went to "that church" years later he was baptised too ❤

I started watching David’s 52 churches in 52 weeks sometime last year and thought ohh cool I love learning about different faiths I’ll watch this. The whole time I sat there thinking he was a member of the church he has this light that members have and found out nope not a member yet then thought watch he joins then last week I saw that he was baptized and I about threw my phone I was so happy and was like knew it. Lol welcome David.

Same! I was like, he’s gonna end up getting baptized. He keeps going back to LDS churches, temple open houses, general conference, etc. It was so fun to watch him be drawn to it over and over again from the outside. I immediately sent the baptism video to my daughter with 🎉🎉🎉 and tears rolling dune my face when I saw it, because I’d shown his channel to her and had told her how much I enjoyed his videos and that I thought he’d eventually convert because he seemed so positive about his experiences. I especially was impressed with his seeing the symbolism between the people mocking the truth seekers from the great and spacious building, and then being yelled at as he entered the conference center. That really struck a chord with me. So fun to see him ignore that mocking and reach for that fruit himself, even though it can be so hard to do. He did it! He made it. So happy for him and proud of his ability to stick with his convictions.

The promptings of wanting more, recognizing "spiritual coincidences" and the courage to act in faith. I felt the same way after David‘s report from the Manti temple visit, he just oozed spirituality, I knew that he witnessed something special. I have been following him on his journey and what impressed me then was the video after visiting General Conference and comparing Lehi‘s dream to his experience outside of the building. That image stuck with me. I’m so happy that he found the church, I’m a converted former Lutheran and could never go back. ❤️

My mom's family searched so many churches, too! My mom grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. She and her family tried out every church there, even the RLDS. When my mom discovered the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it was unlike anything they had experienced before. They said it felt more complete, more whole. My mom and her entire family ended up getting baptized, and they remained true for the rest of their lives. ❤ I love this gospel so much!! The Book of Mormon IS, without any doubt, additional scripture that helps anchor me in my faith in the Bible and that God still speaks today. I loved seeing Rebecca Devonas do this interview because I love her "In the Book" podcast (flooding the earth with testimonies of the Book of Mormon). Brother Boise, after General Conference you mentioned the feeling of "information overload". That is how I always feel too. Depending on how you learn and retain best, then either see the conference on-line, read or listen. I learn best by hearing, so I store the talks from several conferences on CD or a memory stick and listen while driving alone in my car. Some talks bore you after a while. But some will stand out and you will find new wisdom in them every time you see, read or listen to them. Best greetings from Denmark. I joined the Church in 1976, best thing I ever did.

I started watching David’s 52 Churches in 52 Weeks a couple of years ago and it is wonderful to see his sincere conversion and baptism into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This was a great interview and I look forward to watching David’s continuing journey. He’s a very special young man.

One of the greatest gifts of a living church, is that the search journey continues. Baptism is only one point along the journey to having Jesus Christ in our countenance. Continue to acknowledge the "cardinal" moments and press forward in your belief 🥰

I also followed David Boice in his 52 churches in 52 weeks. I felt his sincere spirit from the beginning and prayed that he could feel the spirit at our church and eventually be baptized. He was searching maybe without even knowing it himself. Cardinals are his messengers. Two Davids have been found: David Alexander and David Boice!

Welcome David! I am a convert too. After joining, I feared falling away. Bro Ellsworth from the Mesa Temple Presidency/Home teacher* told me to hold to the iron rod (read Book of Mormon/word of God) daily, and I would never fall away. 23 years have passed, many tests have come. I failed some and beat others. Because of Jesus Christ's atonement, I feel stronger today than ever before despite my past weaknesses. This is Jesus Christ's Church, and you have entered in at the gate of baptism. Now stay the course and join the celebration at the end, you got this brother!

I was casually listening to this while installing a ceiling fan. When he started reading those verses, I started weeping 😭
It’s so beautiful to hear this story and have the Lord stamp its roots in the vision Lehi had all those centuries ago. I imagine Lehi seeing David himself grab the iron rod and make his way to the tree of life.
Press on David, the best is yet to come.

Dear Friend David, Watching your faith journey has been a delight. You have some very deep insights into Gospel symbolism that takes most of us years to understand. Each time you spoke about Temple Open houses, I could see you “getting” it, deeper with each new Temple visit. Your observation on the barricades at General Conference were INTERESTING! Your countenance has a joyful glow, and your smile gets brighter with each visit. I knew with your Manti visit it was just a matter of a few weeks! Congratulations, you have made one of the best choices there is on this journey through mortality!

I am a convert, too. My father was an Episcopal minister. My journey was a 3 year journey until baptism, but in spite of strong opposition in the beginning, the blessings FAR outweighed the hardships! This July will make 52 years since I was converted. Hang in there brother! The Church is true!

Congratulations! I loved this interview! Hang on to that rod! I had a similar experience, I visited all the churches in my town. I had been an Episcopalian, and had visited the LDS church. As I visited all these others I found myself comparing them all to that LDS church. When I asked my dad for permission to join, he told me I was joining the Lord’s only true church, and I had to promise him I’d never fall away. He wasn’t a member, had gained a testimony, but he felt he couldn’t quit smoking and couldn’t give all the time the church required.
It’s been 54 years, and I still am so grateful for this journey.
I will keep you in my prayers. Keep Christ in your daily life, hang on with both hands and seek all the joy you can grab. You are in for a wonderful ride.

I was raised Pentecostal but as a teen I was full of questions. I had read the bible many times and as i went to 8 different churches to ask questions. None could answer my quests. I was introduced to missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS . Two young men who answered every question with the Bible. They gave me a Book of Mormon. It was so exciting to grow in spiritual knowledge. I joined in 1965 and never looked back.

In my heart I knew he would eventually know in his heart which church was truly the church of Jesus Christ that had been restored in these latter days! Congratulations! I'm a lifelong member, my history and background is very different from his. But I still needed to go through my own conversion process (one that continues to today). The thought keeps going through my mind that the Lord speaks to every man in his own language. For him, it was symbolism, cardinals, the fruits and so on. For me, it was something quite different. But God is so great and all-knowing that he knows what David needed. He knows what I needed. He knows what all of His children need. And He is so good to give it to each of us. Welcome to the Church of Jesus Christ Brother Boice!

I've been a member my entire life, but something I'm putting together here is that the tree of life to the hebrews is the temple. And when you said the fruit of lehis vision is the Love of God, well, what do we do in the temple? It isb100% family based. Baptism for our dead relatives for the salvation of their souls, we go to the temple, the iron rod guides us to the temple which is the gospel of Jesus Christ, to be baptized for others and be sealed for always. Amazing.

To David: I've been to those Temples! We went and visited the Bentonville one as it was being built. They had a little visitors center in the parking lot of the church next to the construction site. I had such a powerful feeling visiting there. And I grew up in the church!
Anyway, we lived in Utah for a year several years back, and the St. George Temple was our temple at the time. I loved it. We have also visited the Manti one, back when live Endowment sessions were still being done there. It was very cool. My grandparents were married there in Manti, and some of my ancestors helped build both of those Temples. ❤
Thanks for being candid and sharing your story! I will be honest and admit I've been rooting for you to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for a long time, so when I saw this in my news feed, I was so excited! I was telling my kids, and they were excited too! 😂 Welcome, brother!!

This was such a great interview. I have watched David from the beginning and have been enjoying his faith journey. So grateful for him and the testimony that he has developed and for the spiritual discernment that he has achieved. It was so great to compare his story to Joseph Smith. Unfortunately, Joseph Smith couldn’t find the true church because it wasn’t on the Earth yet. What a blessing that he found it. Welcome David we love you already!
