If you can`t see God everywhere, you cant see God anywhere. That`s beautifull! It makes every religious conversation, with any denomination, an edifying one. When we were studying the old testament with Come Follow Me I learned so much about the context of the OT watching rabis teaching about some of the OT passages here on RUclips... Its beautifull how the Lord allows everyone of us to have different parts of His history so we can learn and grow from eachother. Its so great to have my faith built by brothers from other religions. That happens when we have such delightfull conversations like that, no one trying to talk eachother faith`s down, just build upon it.

Amen! That has been my experience too watching various Faith's and pastors briefly. But the key is that as I heed to the counsel President Nelson has given, this information adds to but does not replace by helping me to see what truths they have and the things they do not have

You’re not a saint. You’re a hellbound man. Joseph Smith and Mohammad have something in common. They both teach that the Bible is corrupted and only they have the truth. These false prophets are discussed in the Bible: 2 Peter 2:1-3
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
Joseph Smith and Mohammad are both in hell. Don’t join them. The biblical gospel of salvation is this, repent of your sins and accept the atoning sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for your sins. Romans 10:9-10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Both the Book of Mormon and the Quran are false and not the Word of the true God.

Really enjoyed this video. I was so drawn in that the 30+ minutes flew by. Really enjoyed the dialogue. The best part for me with this video beyond how informative it was was how Rabbi Charnes focused on where the similarities were and didn't concern himself with the differences. I've seen several Christian channels and they seem extremely focused on why they're right and everybody just needs to accept what they say. They come off very confrontational/adversarial and I never feel the Spirit. I come away from those videos being condemned. This video very much brought the Spirit and it brought peace and joy. So thank you for the bring that Spirit and allowing me to partake in this conversation.

I watch Mark Biltz from El Shaddai ministries and have learned SO MUCH from him about the things you have said! He has really good books explains these festivals and other rituals and ties them together with Christianity. He’s truly someone you should explore. He sounds “country” but because of his interest and research, rabbis are having him come teach to them as well as they come to his Christian congregation to teach the Torah portion. With a rabbi, he’s creating a correct Hebrew translation Bible to include the New Testament. It makes it fun to see that Joseph Smith is correct in his interpretation and what he could have accomplished had he not been murdered.

    • @Kimmer
      @Kimmer 8 месяцев назад +17

@@BryceMtn I agree to a point with you. I certainly believe that some truth can be found in all religions as well as science. For members of the LDS faith, there is no conflict between science and religion as often is the case with many religions who are closed to accepting new information or interpretation of scientific data. However, we also believe that God is not an author of confusion, and that the philosophies of men have crept into doctrines of many religions such that their contradictory teachings cannot all be true. So, we do believe that God has restored his true Church with his authority that is critical. That is the message from the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. That doesn't mean that we don't recognize the good and common truths found in other's beliefs, and we certainly don't believe that all others not of our faith are going to burn in hell (like some other churches teach). We invite everyone to search our beliefs and decide for themselves if what we teach is true. God bless!

When I was taking Hebrew from Don Parry, he pointed out the fact that, And it came to pass, was used often in BOM and is such a long phrase. But in Hebrew, it's a great starting word in giving an historical account. That's because in Hebrew it is one short word instead of five words.

Wonder what the Jewish rabbi would respond to the book of mosiah understanding of the godhead? Or the brother of Jared's experience with Jesus? What are the words of Jesus concerning the Judgment coming on this country because of the secret combinations of darkness AKA Freemasonry? Or the words of Jesus to the gentiles ? The fact that Jesus was not mentioned one time, for me, means the host is ashamed of Yeshua.

I respect people like this who look at others views or potential truth with openness. I wish more people (myself included) were like that. We should accept ALL truth. I'd gladly read the texts of other religions if needed. That does not mean I need to give up or sacrifice the truths that I already know.

Loved this interview. Rabbi Charnes shows and instant respect for the subject matter, and he later calls this a sacred dialogue. This is how we should all approach conversations of this type, regardless of differing viewpoints or methods of worship.
I love how he tends to go straight for the depth and meaning. He's less concerned about evidences of this or that because the true test is what value does the text provide in leading us to God, and he knows how to look for and extract that. The fruit, if you will. In the case olives, right?

I love it. I really loved hearing this. One of my good friends when I was a young man was Jewish and he and I used to talk about all kinds of things we bonded because we both liked the same television series, and we met in line to get some autographs from our favorite stars. Unfortunately, over the years we lost touch when I was in the military. I still think about him and all the conversations we had and how he taught me how to say and write “blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord “. I still have it written inside the front cover of my old book of Mormon, given to me as a gift by my mother, when I was a child. I really enjoyed this discussion, and it definitely causes a ray of light to shine down out of the clouds.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I am far more interested in what Jews think of my religion and holy texts than I am in what other Christians think of them, because I believe that the LDS church is restored Judaism, with the key difference being our belief that Jesus is the Christ. Our faiths have a great deal in common, with most LDS being of the tribes of Ephraim and Manassah while most Jews being of the tribes of Judah and Levi. Latter-Day revelation has confirmed that one day the LDS and Jews will be reunited into one fold as part of the gathering of Israel and the restoration of all things under restored priesthood authority. There is so much both groups still have to learn from one another.

The cult of mormonism is a restored false manmade abomination. It is just as Godless and fake of a religion as is judaism. You are the blind looking to the blind. The dead looking to the dead.
Yes your two false manmade Godless religions have a lot in common. They are both 100% false manmade frauds, and are the false religions of the accursed of God. Repent!.
