@@Mustardmanor The Book of Mormon states that Lehi and his crew started traveling in an eastward direction from Nahom. That is, they traveled generally south, apparently following the ancient trade routes, until they reached a place called Nahom. They buried Ishmael, and then started traveling eastward from that time until they reached Bountiful (located on the sea). NHM is situated EXACTLY where the ancient trade routes turn eastward. In other words, if you take only the clues found in the Book of Mormon and pointed to the likely spot on a map, NHM is found at that spot. Also, it's extremely unlikely that Joseph could have known about the existence of NHM because very few maps at the time showed this location. The nearest source anybody's found is a library some 300 miles from where Joseph was living at the time. So, this NHM evidence is pretty compelling. It's not absolute proof, of course. The only real proof of the Book of Mormon's authenticity is provided by the Holy Ghost to those who earnestly seek to know whether it's true.

Love, love, love this. I’ve had a strong testimony since I was young. It was solidified on my mission. Because of my career path, logic has become an often frustration. The evidences I’ve personally found help to calm a somewhat skeptical mind. Things just need to make logical sense. But whenever I have had questions, I pray I can find the often logical answer. This has never failed me. Not only have I received my answers, but my understanding is deepened significantly. I love the Book of Mormon and it’s testimony of the divinity of Jesus Christ. I’d be lost without it.
What a wonderful video and what a great research... I love how the light and the love for the work is so obviously to see in all the people engaged in this work.... keep it up and let me know if you need any further music ;)
I love this show and will share it with those who are my non member friends and family, but besides that it's great for members who want to strengthen their testimonies of the BOM, which is such an incredible book, how very blessed we are to have it in our possession. Well done you guys!
Former LDS, always interested and curious about learning more. I saw thumbnail for this video and it brought back watching movies every Saturday evening on Jazz I think. Every time I pause a movie I always say "and now, for the rousing conclusion" thank you for that. Good to see you again.
I had the opportunity of visiting Tiahuanacu with my second grade class in Bolivia, four years before missionaries shared the Book of Mormon with my family. When I learned the meaning of the symbolisms shown in the ruins (monolito Ponce and La Puerta del Sol) I felt that I had before me a sure testimony of the authenticity of the book. Moreover, I felt a deeper connection to my ancestry in that land than I had ever felt before.
I wanted it to be Heartland or Hopewell so bad! I served my mission in the Yucatán Peninsula right above where you served in Guatemala, and while there I wanted it to be where it took place. Now I strictly rely on my spiritual testimony given to me when I was 19 a few months before my mission, that the Book of Mormon is true, that the precepts taught in it will and do bring us closer to our savior Jesus Christ, as we worship the Father through him. This series is so cool! The actor presenting, I forget his name, was in a movie called The Best Two Years which actually helped me get back active and excited about the gospel again. I can’t wait to watch the rest of this!
This book is more true than any book on earth. Others will know it is true by asking God through fervent prayer. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon. Thank you for this first episode. Keep it going.
I remember my grandma having a quote in her room. It said that one day the Book of Mormon would be proven, but it would be too late. That we must have faith and move forward in faith. So I have loved when little things come up like these, that might not be able to be strictly proven, but they’re awfully close to proven. Thank you. This was fun to watch.
I’m LDS and I have a strong testimony that the Book of Mormon is true and is a testament of Jesus Christ. This is going to be a wonderful series and I can’t wait to see the rest of it. The journey that it takes us on is going to be educational as well as fun! I’m excited 🥰43:02
I laughed at loud at that ending. I’m so glad I stayed to the end. The only thing I can think of that makes up for Granite Flats not being renewed for a fourth season is that Scott Christopher was led to do the hosting for “A Marvelous Work: The Greatness of the Evidence” and share his testimony and these bodies of work as found by scientists and people of faith. I like your uniquely phrased invitation. 😊 And I do certainly agree it IS a thrill! After the Holy Ghost testifies to the faithful, it’s a thrill to witness all of this! We don’t need the archaeological evidence, or even Chiasmic evidence, but all of these findings are like having delicious cream cheese frosting on your favorite carrot cake! But the carrot cake is still very tasty without the frosting!
Love this! Grateful to see so many people dedicating their time and talent to find out archaeological evidence of BoM. I love the scriptures for what it is; but watching these evidence help me understand more about the times when the BoM people lived - and in turn help me appreciate of the scriptures even more.

Thank you, sir! I was born and raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints here in the Philippines. I had that privilege that most of my friends in the church did not have. When I started watching this first episode, I was ironing my white shirt in preparation for our priesthood session this afternoon when I said, I don't need evidence to know if the Book of Mormon is true. I have witnessed to myself multiple times the truthfulness of it. But I always have the feeling that I wish I could have the same conversion as my friends did, where they had a full turn in their life that serves as a big testament to themselves that the church is true, that the prophet Joseph Smith is true, and so is the Book of Mormon. My conversion was different. It was not like a big turn of events, but it was more gradual-praying every day, reading scriptures, attending church every Sunday, attending seminary and institute classes, repenting of my sins, obeying commandments, attending the temple, and so on. I wouldn't deny that I came to a point in my life where I questioned if all these things were true. I grew up in the church and this is the only thing I know to be true. And I wonder if I only believe these things to be true because it is what my parents taught me as they raised me. But I challenged myself to learn for myself. I prayed to God and I received a strong confirmation from the Spirit that all that I believe and know to be true in the church is real and I am not mistaken. And the strong confirmation became stronger as I kept living the restored gospel and the commandments of God. I am grateful that I did that and I have learned for myself. Yes, I said that I don't need evidence to know if the Book of Mormon is true, but watching this documentary sparked my interest. I've been seeing a lot of content on social media attacking the church. Ex-members vilify and make fun of our beliefs, spreading misinformation from unreliable sources. And this documentary, whether it indirectly proves the Book of Mormon, is better to rely on because the evidence was examined and studied by reliable and professional people. There are records and tangible objects that no way Joseph Smith could have known for himself and used as a reference when he wrote the Book of Mormon. I am really engrossed in this documentary and look forward to watching the other episodes. So, to all the people who made or are making this, Maraming Salamat po! Thank you very much. I can't imagine the sacrifices and efforts you made just to produce this. I can't express how grateful I am just to watch the first episode.
As a recently returned Missionary from the great land of Tennessee, this brings me so much joy and reaffirmed the great knowledge that I have received!
I love the Book of Mormon! It is a second testament of Jesus Christ. This second witness has enhanced my understanding of the Savior and strengthened my testimony of him and his gospel. The Book of Mormon has brought me so much peace and joy!😁❤️
Looking forward to watching the rest in this series! Like many others here, my belief in this book is unmatched from the witness I’ve had of the truthfulness of its writings. The more I study, the more evident it is to me, and the more the spirit bears this truth to me. Well done!

I already knew about NHM. Never knew about the Ishmael grave. Wow. Blowing my mind over here.
Yeah that was amazing! Right spot, right vegetation, right area name, right time period, with the right name inscribed on the grave!
@@FromAgonyToLight so where did Joseph Smith say NHM would be located? Did he just say in the desert or did he point to a map?

This body of work is Terrific
So glad you enjoyed it. thanks!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment.
Tiwanaku is indeed impressive, with intriguing potential Book of Mormon connections.
I'm a Heartlander, but I served my mission in Guatemala, right there at the Lago Atitlan, so this warms my soul. Looking forward to more episodes!
Beautifully produced and hosted. Going to watch these episodes as a family.
This book is more true than any book on earth. Others will know it is true by asking God through fervent prayer. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon. Thank you for this first episode. Keep it going.
Sure makes the Bible into a corrupt joke right. Most true book compared to Dr. Seuss maybe...
Thank you for your comment. So many people want concrete proof, but we must live by faith.
Thank you so much for putting this together.

I am so humbled and grateful. Thank you, Scott, from the bottom of my heart.

Nobody gains a true testimony of the Book of Mormon except through the Holy Ghost. What stories like this do is lead us to a conclusion of that truth when we let them. These stories bring a thrill to those of us who already testify of such truths. Come join us and feel the thrill!
I like your uniquely phrased invitation. 😊
And I do certainly agree it IS a thrill!
After the Holy Ghost testifies to the faithful, it’s a thrill to witness all of this! We don’t need the archaeological evidence, or even Chiasmic evidence, but all of these findings are like having delicious cream cheese frosting on your favorite carrot cake! Love this! Grateful to see so many people dedicating their time and talent to find out archaeological evidence of BoM. I love the scriptures for what it is; but watching these evidence help me understand more about the times when the BoM people lived - and in turn help me appreciate of the scriptures even more.
THOMAS FERGUSON started the department of Archeology at BYU. After 17 years of research and study and finding no evidence to support the BOM, he left the department. After discovering the book VIEW OF THE HEBREWS, he left the church.

I watch all your movies from the church and I saw you at Hallmark movies. You are great!!
I loved episode one ! and I really like Scott as our guide.
Thank you for sharing your testimony experiences with us. We are so glad you are watching! Thank you.
Thank you - I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Great thoughts and production value!
I could not find any thing about temples and baptism for the dead. Can't see the fulness of the gospel in it....
Thank you for sharing! We couldn't agree more.
Looking forward to watching the rest in this series! Like many others here, my belief in this book is unmatched from the witness I’ve had of the truthfulness of its writings. The more I study, the more evident it is to me, and the more the spirit bears this truth to me.
Well done!
I enjoyed what you brought to the video, but I was just touched most by your sincere testimony.
Very kind.

@@stephenkelley685She knows by feelings, you know the dubious Mormon testimony. I wish I could testify in court based on my feelings. One day everyone will learn that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence (not feelings). What’s more likely to have happened; God the creator of the universe appeared to a boy in upstate New York and he restored said gods church, or boy made it up? I think it’s more likely he made it up, unless you got some extraordinarily evidence. No, witnesses that are related to you and have a financial interest and later recanted their stories doesn’t count as extraordinary evidence.

That book is absolutely ancient and true. It's way beyond plausible, it's not to be missed!!!
It’s honestly proof in my eyes. An uneducated farmboy simply couldn’t have made it in that short of a time, let alone the Chiasms and Semitic language influences and consistent geography and more clear translations of Isaiah. The clarified and simplified doctrine that has troubled theologians for hundreds of years…
There’s simply no other way than supernatural means.
