We must always share Truth - in 2008, I was a gay-identified man, in a committed, monogamous same-sex relationship, active in an affirming church, where we called ourselves gay Christians. Then I found myself in an ICU where the medical team classified me clinically dead after a 22-minute flatline. I experienced death, judgement and hell. When I couldn’t take any more demonic torment, I cried out in repentance, “Jesus!” and I heard the Savior say, “I am here.” At that moment, I saw with my eyes the Wind of the Holy Spirit fill myself ICU and with great power, He pick up Satan and the demonic and blew them out of the room. On that day, my life changed, the redemptive Blood of Jesus cleared my mind of perversion and completely healed and restored every failing organ. Glory to God!
Former lesbian here! That was my life two years ago, right before I gave my life to Christ. Today, I'm married with a 5 year old stepson and a baby on the way. God is good, and when you really give yourself to him, he will absolutely transform you!!
Be changed by renewing your mind. Be obedient to the word of God that has already had already given to you. Ask, seek and knock Jesus is knocking at the door of your life it's up to you to open the door so that he can reveal himself to you. By opening the door he means embrace his teachings.

Jesus calls us to leave our old life behind and embrace a life loving the Lord, and that means that you have to let the Holy Spirit move in you. In a highly simplified metaphor - Imagine a dog who has a toy and wants to play with you, but when you go to take the toy from them, they won't let it go. It's obvious that they want to play, but they just won't drop the toy. So whatever you're holding onto - from cigarettes to a terrible relationship, from an unbiblical lifestyle to a bad habit - you have to let that go. You can cry out to God and Jesus, but if there are things in your life hindering that relationship, things won't change and your relationship won't grow. I had to listen to God and let things go - divorced my wife, sold my home, closed my business - and as of this past April, I put cigarettes and vaping down after over a decade of two-packs-a-day smoking. For every sacrifice you make, and so long as you do it in joy and in trust with God, you will feel that relationship grow. And find a good church, that is also extremely helpful! Find a local Bible study. Start listening to worship music, and start every prayer with rejoicing and praising. All of these things will help.
I don’t identify as a heterosexual so why would someone identify as a homosexual. It is not an identity, it is a desire. I really think this is key for someone to be free.
Identifying is people's choice. Some people identify themselves based on some attributes, some don't. That's all. Who you want to have a relationship with is part of a person's identity. It's not just a desire. Seeking companionship is important for 99% of people.
This is the essence of why minority groups find themselves at risk of prejudice and violence. You might not see yourself heterosexual but you are and lucky got you do are most other people. You've never had to worry about persecution for belonging to that group.

My brother was sexually abused for 3 years in the prime of adolescence. It wasn't until adulthood that he revealed what happened to the family. When he said, "I thought I was gay" that really cut deep into my heart. Trauma can change one's perception of sexuality orientation.
That is heartbreaking and I couldn't agree more that it inevitably messes with ur psyche and creates much confusion. That type of testimony is painfully common. 💔

@kubejunkie while i agree generally with most of what you say, i think the foot fetish one is a poor choice, since the current understanding of those people is that its due to the misfiring of the brain. The part of the brain that identifies feet is right next to the part of the brain that identifies genitalia, and they think that the foot part accidentally triggers the other part when it fires too strongly or something like that. But in general i agree with you. People that have really inconvenient kinks actually can go to get therapy to try to behaivorally change that. (A paper i read about a guy who was unable to get excited if he wasnt covered in his partners shoes comes to mind.) So clearly experts are of the opinion that these things can be shaped.

These ppl had actual experiences with Jesus and they were never the same. When you are born again the old you dies. Everything you thought was important. Everything you thought was you, dies. If people were born with a trait that kept them from reproducing, as a genetic component it would self select itself out of the gene pool. I was bullied so badly in elementary school as a child that I would get stomach aches before going to school that would go away once I was able to stay home. I am a follower of Jesus and agree that the Bible is clear on same sex relations, but what I can't figure out is why Christians only condemn LGBT sex. Any sex outside of marriage is a sin. There are far more heterosexual couples having sex before marriage, even in the church! The Bible speaks about general sexual immorality far more than homosexual immorality. The only difference is that one becomes ok in marriage and the other is still a sin even if married. But both are sin. Isn't it hypocritical not to call out both? That's my general idea. Sin is sin, whether it's generally accepted in the church or not. With that being said, this was a great listen, and I appreciate your points and your compassion. I have been struggling with the medical, school, and gov system. They have taken my authority as a parent and they have given it to the child, teacher, doctors, and gov. They give the authority to everyone else except the parent. It doesn’t make any sense.

You let the doctor do their job in the hospital if you have a medical issue, don't you? Why shouldn't it work that way when it comes to education? Let the teachers do their job. You guys nailed it on the born this way argument, and it's not just because you came to the same understanding I did. Yes, you were born this way, we were all born sinners with evil desires and a deceitful heart that desires to do wickedly continually. But that is not where we should want to remain. Through the agency of the Holy Spirit, we can draw close to God and have all those evil desires exposed and repent of them. God can give us a new heart with new desires through regeneration of the Holy Spirit. This is made possible by the blood shed for us at the cross where Jesus paid for your sins to bring you to newness of life and set you free from bondage to sin.
The "born this way" argument started in response to a specific idea of people being pushed or indoctrinated into homosexual behaviour, the idea being that people can't naturally be gay. I personally find it a bit annoying that the goalposts moved when people recognised this as wrong. "well even if you are born this way, just because you're born that way doesn't make it right" is true, yeah, but not really the point. If you accept the idea that people are born a certain way which gives them certain inclinations/desires, then from there the argument shifts to the pros and cons of suppressing those inclinations. I may have a desire to slap someone, and I may have a desire for (let's say..) playing Uno with friends and the human connection that comes along with it. Is it healthy to suppress your fleshly desire for Uno? Would I be angry at someone who went around talking about the immorality of Uno and how we need to cut ourselves off from everyone around us, forsaking any desire for friendship in favour of solitude? I would say yes. It's actively making people's lives worse, in my opinion, and you would have to argue otherwise from there But no I would not be equally angry at someone who says I have to suppress my desire to slap Frank Turek

Forgive me but, as long as everyone allows homosexuality to be the focus of sexual sin, you are not going to get very far with the sinner. The Bible speaks against ALL forms of sexual sin and they all carry the same penalty. An "adulterer" is just as bad as same sex. In the Old Testament God ordered them to be taken outside the gates and be stoned also. In the New Testament, it is so egregious it is the only excuse Jesus gives for divorce... When the Bible speaks of the "sexual immoral" it is not just speaking of homosexuals... it speaks of ALL who indulge in sexual sin. And the expected response from Christians toward the "sexually immoral" is to pray for them but not to let them have influence in your life.
@NickGagnon942 if you truly know Jesus, you would know that it is a sin. God doesn't make rules to take away fun. He loves you, and He wants to protect you, and to give you a good life. This means everyone. We all sin, but our lives are blessed when we try to follow Him, and seek Jesus in all aspects of life. God created sex to be enjoyed by a man and his wife. God gave you all of the ability to feel all of the enjoyment of sex, but He put rules in place so that we would be safe, and happy. If you are having sex with just your wife/husband, there are no sexually transmitted diseases, there are no babies born outside of this loving relationship. You, as a married man & wife are a partnership and you will have support in raising children. The closer you walk with Jesus, the better your life will be. Reach out, and be in conversation with God. You can't shock Him. He knows your every thought and action,but He wants you to be in relationship with Him.
This sin is just focused on sexual immorality - the LGBT group needs to know that if we break one commandment we break them all which means we ALL need to repent to be saved. Using the "i'm not a bad person" argument is invalid because its based on human standards, not God's. People resolve to saying I don't believe in God or I hate Christians to justify their sin - God has put His offer on the table for all mankind (The Cross), what each person decides to do its THEIR choice! Hating those who accept God's free gift of salvation is irrelevant because it's not ME they need to repent to. I personally don't want to face God's wrath which is coming soon.

At the 5:43 mark it's said that Jesus "accepted people before they agreed with Him." I think there needs to be a clear definition of the word "accept" here. Jesus invites anyone and everyone... But what does it mean for Jesus to "accept" someone? I think there is a higher bar for "acceptance." You are always invited, but being acceptance requires repentance and that implies agreement, at least, about who Jesus is, and what we must do to be saved.

I do think that childhood SA is a farely common thing in those that have same sex attraction. Gals who are sexualy abused makes them not want men. Guys that are sexualy abused (by another male), end up with men. It doesn't make sense.

These traits are mostly context specific, but most people think of them as static (think of how someone might be more extroverted at church than at work or a party). Gender is a cluster of expectations that a culture places on different sex (male/female/intersex) roles. So when we say a man is not a "real man" because he takes care of his children while his wife works, that is an expression of gender. Gender varies by culture as sex/gender roles vary by culture. So, personality and gender are completely separate. It may be possible that some cultures teach children that certain personalities are better for different genders (in the US, openness for girls and extraversion for boys). Culture shifts and ideas of gender with it. Boys used to wear pink during WWII, women couldn't vote until the early 1900s, being a working mom was virtually unheard of until the 1960s and fortunately, we don't stone women for premarital sex any more. I get it that since we use "Sex" and "Gender" as synonyms so often, it's hard to see them as different. Especially when certain pundits intentionally muddle the concept. But sex is physical/genetic, and gender is cultural. They usually match, but not always.
I remember when it was popular for people to say that gay people were born that way and I didn't believe it because every gay or lesbian I've gotten to know personally, has eventually admitted that sadly they were SA-ed as a child. I believe when they were innocent as children and exposed to something sexual, which they had no business being exposed to, it changed them and not only took their innocence but when they became teenagers it gave them unhealthy sexual attractions.

I think an important point to make against the idea that sexual attraction defines you is any honest heterosexual man (or woman) is sexually attracted to countless persons of the opposite sex every day with whom it would be immoral for him or her to engage in sexual activity. It is not holding same-sex-attracted people to a different standard of chastity… it applies to everyone who feels a sexual attraction to someone other than his or her spouse (defined by and sanctioned by the Church). This design was from a loving God who knows our deepest desires to be loved and who in that save loving design lays out the best pattern for fulfillment.
Yeah the defined and sanctioned by the church part is doing lots of heavy lifting. Your church did not marry black people until 30 years ago, does that mean you do not support interracial marriage?

The Holy Spirit left the people just before the flood and closed the door of the ark, closing salvation. So it will be in the last days. The Holy Spirit will not leave the world until all His work is done. And as the signs of the animals walking into the ark were (strange) to the people in Noah’s day, so are we seeing strange things. The end is near.

I have come to the conclusion that if God created male and female from the beginning it is because He designed us that way for a purpose . The woman's body is completely different from the man's body in every senses , even at a spiritual level , character , feelings and much more . I think like this , who am I to question anything from My Creator , if I am the creature and God Is My Creator, how can I question The One who created me ? Imagine that the tables were turned and we lived in a culture where being gay was the norm and the religious majority put pressure on straight people to abandon their "desire" and only being romantic with same-sex partners. Could you possibly put yourself in that head space where you could do it? I know this begins with the trope "he was gay because he was abused", which has not been found to be a real correlation in any study. I have known many LGBTQ folks in my day and have been fortunate enough for some to confide in me. What I have often been told is that for most of their lives, they would trade sexualities in a snap so that they could exist more comfortably in our society that still is so cruel (even within our current "woke" world, conversations like this video persist). Being gay is not an identity, it is a sexuality. Identity comes from one's sexuality, not the other way around. I cannot imagine how a just, omniscient creator would create individuals whose base nature defies his will. I'm sure many of you in these comments don't know any LGBTQ folk, at least not at the personal level where they tell you anything of consequence. I hope that when you read the beginning of this you said, "YES THATS WHAT WOKE IS DOING NOW! ITS DISGUSTING! HOW CAN THEY EXPECT ME TO BECOME LIKE THEM?!" and I hope you can imagine someone having that same gut reaction to the reality of this video's conversation, and recognizing that calling sexuality a sin is so ungodly and so unlike Christ.
Alcoholism is a desire. Stealing is a desire. Heck, I'd argue even murder is a desire. Does that mean they're ok? As to 'made this way' - have you heard of the fall? We were made perfect but fell (Adam and Eve). Consequently our hearts became twisted, rebellious, selfish, perverse... you name it. We were not made this way, we became this way through rebellion. No amount of 'good-living' can undo the damage. This is why God sent a rescuer - a saviour - His Son. Jesus lived a perfect life and died a criminal's death, so that He can swap our criminal life for His perfect one, and our criminal death for His righteous one. Get it? So, it doesn't matter if the urges are sexual, or materialistic, or gluttonous... God loves us, forgives us in Christ and then works on those urges we have to bring us more in line with how He intends us to be. We were born in sin but can be remade, reborn, in righteousness.
Fortunately being gay is the anomaly. Otherwise the human race would be toast. I respect that it probably feels natural to them. I don't think it's a "sin". It is kind of disgusting though.

25:20 we need more biblical accuracy in this American church. In Romans 1:18 the Greek word Katecho should be translated as hold, not suppress. If you look up Katecho, and every time it is used in the New Testament, the picture is of grabbing and holding, and pulling into yourself and squeezing tightly against oneself. Romans 1:18 is talking about how people hold the truth, which means they know it is true, but sin against God anyways. That is what the whole chapter is about it starts with: everyone knows God exist because of creation and this section ends with no one has an excuse. So they aren’t suppressing anything they’re holding onto the truth. They know it’s truth and they are sinning against God anyway, which is the beginning of the slide which is described here.
If someone tells you "I don't know what I did wrong" and you responded "yes you do, and you just don't want to admit it!" do you see how that conversation may get nowhere? If they actually don't know what they did wrong, then they're going to view you as crazy..
It’s not as if every heterosexual behavior is automatically not sinful obviously, so that needs to be communicated to lgbt people who are in discussions about the faith too.

The Bible is clear we are all evil from childhood, because we are from Works, sin rules and is our Master. No slave can go against the wishes of his master. Christian’s are still sinners if like the Pharisees you hide behind obeying the written word, act like you dont sin, truth is not in you. Satan is called the accuser, he uses the cursed weak law to accuse people day and night. He focuses on our weakness and we succumb. We are condemned humiliated in our sin, never good enough, can never measure up. If you follow the written word to make you righteous it leads you to death. Man cannot will himself from Sin. If it was a matter of choice then Christ would be irrelevant. There is no group of people more internally condemned than those who are sexually attracted to the same sex or identify as the opposite sex. Rejection from society our Heavenly Father parents friends peers from the earliest age. The real gospel should be taught. Christ brought in a new covenant, said that we will now be judged on our choices and our thoughts. He made it harder left no wiggle room. So who can be saved. Praise Jesus. Only through him. How. Our Heavenly Father always had a plan. He sent his only begotten son Jesus to do what Adam couldn’t. He obeyed his father, he fulfilled all the laws, was tempted and overcame, saved the ones God chose here on earth his disciples, took our sin and purified them forever, shed his perfect blood to satisfy the law of Sin. Satan lost his hold, his power. The commands, written word can no longer accuse because Christ fulfilled them all. In a fulfilled law God promises to never remember SIN. His yolk is light easy. What is his yolk, to love him, love your neighbor as yourself, impossible if you are still ashamed. If you do that it fulfills all the laws. He then credits you with righteousness. Purchases you out of slavery. Run through the open narrow gate, happiness joy peace is yours. He asks be like me serve, be humble, forgive love your enemy.
We must always share Truth - in 2008, I was a gay-identified man, in a committed, monogamous same-sex relationship, active in an affirming church, where we called ourselves gay Christians. Then I found myself in an ICU where the medical team classified me clinically dead after a 22-minute flatline. I experienced death, judgement and hell. When I couldn’t take any more demonic torment, I cried out in repentance, “Jesus!” and I heard the Savior say, “I am here.” At that moment, I saw with my eyes the Wind of the Holy Spirit fill myself ICU and with great power, He pick up Satan and the demonic and blew them out of the room. On that day, my life changed, the redemptive Blood of Jesus cleared my mind of perversion and completely healed and restored every failing organ. Glory to God!

@@Ty-1452 The hardest part is letting go. You have to acknowledge that things in your life will have to change. Jesus calls us to leave our old life behind and embrace a life loving the Lord, and that means that you have to let the Holy Spirit move in you.
In a highly simplified metaphor - Imagine a dog who has a toy and wants to play with you, but when you go to take the toy from them, they won't let it go. It's obvious that they want to play, but they just won't drop the toy. So whatever you're holding onto - from cigarettes to a terrible relationship, from an unbiblical lifestyle to a bad habit - you have to let that go.
You can cry out to God and Jesus, but if there are things in your life hindering that relationship, things won't change and your relationship won't grow. I had to listen to God and let things go - divorced my wife, sold my home, closed my business - and as of this past April, I put cigarettes and vaping down after over a decade of two-packs-a-day smoking. For every sacrifice you make, and so long as you do it in joy and in trust with God, you will feel that relationship grow.
And find a good church, that is also extremely helpful! Find a local Bible study. Start listening to worship music, and start every prayer with rejoicing and praising. All of these things will help.

My brother was sexually abused for 3 years in the prime of adolescence. It wasn't until adulthood that he revealed what happened to the family. When he said, "I thought I was gay" that really cut deep into my heart. Trauma can change one's perception of sexuality orientation.

@kubejunkie while i agree generally with most of what you say, i think the foot fetish one is a poor choice, since the current understanding of those people is that its due to the misfiring of the brain. The part of the brain that identifies feet is right next to the part of the brain that identifies genitalia, and they think that the foot part accidentally triggers the other part when it fires too strongly or something like that. But in general i agree with you. People that have really inconvenient kinks actually can go to get therapy to try to behaivorally change that. (A paper i read about a guy who was unable to get excited if he wasnt covered in his partners shoes comes to mind.) So clearly experts are of the opinion that these things can be shaped.

I was bullied so badly in elementary school as a child that I would get stomach aches before going to school that would go away once I was able to stay home. I am a follower of Jesus and agree that the Bible is clear on same sex relations, but what I can't figure out is why Christians only condemn LGBT sex. Any sex outside of marriage is a sin. There are far more heterosexual couples having sex before marriage, even in the church! The Bible speaks about general sexual immorality far more than homosexual immorality. The only difference is that one becomes ok in marriage and the other is still a sin even if married. But both are sin. Isn't it hypocritical not to call out both? That's my general idea. Sin is sin, whether it's generally accepted in the church or not.

I have been struggling with the medical, school, and gov system. They have taken my authority as a parent and they have given it to the child, teacher, doctors, and gov. They give the authority to everyone else except the parent. It doesn’t make any sense.

You guys nailed it on the born this way argument, and it's not just because you came to the same understanding I did. Yes, you were born this way, we were all born sinners with evil desires and a deceitful heart that desires to do wickedly continually.
But that is not where we should want to remain. Through the agency of the Holy Spirit, we can draw close to God and have all those evil desires exposed and repent of them. God can give us a new heart with new desires through regeneration of the Holy Spirit. This is made possible by the blood shed for us at the cross where Jesus paid for your sins to bring you to newness of life and set you free from bondage to sin.
The "born this way" argument started in response to a specific idea of people being pushed or indoctrinated into homosexual behaviour, the idea being that people can't naturally be gay. I personally find it a bit annoying that the goalposts moved when people recognised this as wrong. "well even if you are born this way, just because you're born that way doesn't make it right" is true, yeah, but not really the point.
If you accept the idea that people are born a certain way which gives them certain inclinations/desires, then from there the argument shifts to the pros and cons of suppressing those inclinations. I may have a desire to slap someone, and I may have a desire for (let's say..) playing Uno with friends and the human connection that comes along with it. Is it healthy to suppress your fleshly desire for Uno? Would I be angry at someone who went around talking about the immorality of Uno and how we need to cut ourselves off from everyone around us, forsaking any desire for friendship in favour of solitude? I would say yes. It's actively making people's lives worse, in my opinion, and you would have to argue otherwise from there
But no I would not be equally angry at someone who says I have to suppress my desire to slap Frank Turek

Frank Turek was on the Rubin Report, and Dave was very friendly and amenable. Also, not everyone who is one of the letters is part of the organized "community." many of the "Ls," "Bs," and "Gs," are actually distancing themselves from the community because it has gone too far.

This conversation has come at a perfect time for me. My 18 year old great grandson is involved with another boy and it is breaking my heart. I live with him and his sister. Last week, their 37 year old mother suddenly died. My heart wants to help him because his mother isn't here to give her influence. I am so conflicted.i need help.

if you're curious what the arguments may sound like to us, consider what it means when Turek talks about how even if we're "born this way," the way we're born is sinful and should be resisted. If someone has a genetic disposition towards being a drunkard, or they have an identity of a drunkard, obviously that doesn't mean you should accept them as a drunkard. they should abandon their drunkenness.
but the obvious difference here is that we both agree being an alcoholic is bad. I also was born to enjoy being in the sun and run on vitamin D. if I was told to suppress my fleshly desire for sunlight and never go outside again, I might be a bit pissed. the disagreement is whether or not the desire to be suppressed is actually bad or not.

Forgive me but, as long as everyone allows homosexuality to be the focus of sexual sin, you are not going to get very far with the sinner. The Bible speaks against ALL forms of sexual sin and they all carry the same penalty. An "adulterer" is just as bad as same sex. In the Old Testament God ordered them to be taken outside the gates and be stoned also.
In the New Testament, it is so egregious it is the only excuse Jesus gives for divorce...
When the Bible speaks of the "sexual immoral" it is not just speaking of homosexuals... it speaks of ALL who indulge in sexual sin. And the expected response from Christians toward the "sexually immoral" is to pray for them but not to let them have influence in your life.

God gave you all of the ability to feel all of the enjoyment of sex, but He put rules in place so that we would be safe, and happy. If you are having sex with just your wife/husband, there are no sexually transmitted diseases, there are no babies born outside of this loving relationship. You, as a married man & wife are a partnership and you will have support in raising children. The closer you walk with Jesus, the better your life will be. Reach out, and be in conversation with God. You can't shock Him. He knows your every thought and action,but He wants you to be in relationship with Him.

At the 5:43 mark it's said that Jesus "accepted people before they agreed with Him." I think there needs to be a clear definition of the word "accept" here. Jesus invites anyone and everyone... But what does it mean for Jesus to "accept" someone? I think there is a higher bar for "acceptance." You are always invited, but being acceptance requires repentance and that implies agreement, at least, about who Jesus is, and what we must do to be saved.

These traits are mostly context specific, but most people think of them as static (think of how someone might be more extroverted at church than at work or a party). Gender is a cluster of expectations that a culture places on different sex (male/female/intersex) roles. So when we say a man is not a "real man" because he takes care of his children while his wife works, that is an expression of gender. Gender varies by culture as sex/gender roles vary by culture. So, personality and gender are completely separate. It may be possible that some cultures teach children that certain personalities are better for different genders (in the US, openness for girls and extraversion for boys). Culture shifts and ideas of gender with it. Boys used to wear pink during WWII, women couldn't vote until the early 1900s, being a working mom was virtually unheard of until the 1960s and fortunately, we don't stone women for premarital sex any more. I get it that since we use "Sex" and "Gender" as synonyms so often, it's hard to see them as different. Especially when certain pundits intentionally muddle the concept. But sex is physical/genetic, and gender is cultural. They usually match, but not always.
I remember when it was popular for people to say that gay people were born that way and I didn't believe it because every gay or lesbian I've gotten to know personally, has eventually admitted that sadly they were SA-ed as a child. I believe when they were innocent as children and exposed to something sexual, which they had no business being exposed to, it changed them and not only took their innocence but when they became teenagers it gave them unhealthy sexual attractions.

I think an important point to make against the idea that sexual attraction defines you is any honest heterosexual man (or woman) is sexually attracted to countless persons of the opposite sex every day with whom it would be immoral for him or her to engage in sexual activity. It is not holding same-sex-attracted people to a different standard of chastity… it applies to everyone who feels a sexual attraction to someone other than his or her spouse (defined by and sanctioned by the Church). This design was from a loving God who knows our deepest desires to be loved and who in that save loving design lays out the best pattern for fulfillment.

If we deny it we will be locked out of the ark like the people of Noah's day was. The Holy Spirit pleaded with the people for 120 years to get into the ark. But they rejected His plea. The Holy Spirit left the people just before the flood and closed the door of the ark, closing salvation. So it will be in the last days. The Holy Spirit will not leave the world until all His work is done. And as the signs of the animals walking into the ark were (strange) to the people in Noah’s day, so are we seeing strange things. The end is near.

I have come to the conclusion that if God created male and female from the beginning it is because He designed us that way for a purpose . Imagine that the tables were turned and we lived in a culture where being gay was the norm and the religious majority put pressure on straight people to abandon their "desire" and only being romantic with same-sex partners. Could you possibly put yourself in that head space where you could do it? I know this begins with the trope "he was gay because he was abused", which has not been found to be a real correlation in any study. I have known many LGBTQ folks in my day and have been fortunate enough for some to confide in me. What I have often been told is that for most of their lives, they would trade sexualities in a snap so that they could exist more comfortably in our society that still is so cruel (even within our current "woke" world, conversations like this video persist). Being gay is not an identity, it is a sexuality. Identity comes from one's sexuality, not the other way around. I cannot imagine how a just, omniscient creator would create individuals whose base nature defies his will. I'm sure many of you in these comments don't know any LGBTQ folk, at least not at the personal level where they tell you anything of consequence. I hope that when you read the beginning of this you said, "YES THATS WHAT WOKE IS DOING NOW! ITS DISGUSTING! As to 'made this way' - have you heard of the fall? We were made perfect but fell (Adam and Eve). Consequently our hearts became twisted, rebellious, selfish, perverse... you name it. We were not made this way, we became this way through rebellion. No amount of 'good-living' can undo the damage. This is why God sent a rescuer - a saviour - His Son. Jesus lived a perfect life and died a criminal's death, so that He can swap our criminal life for His perfect one, and our criminal death for His righteous one. Get it? So, it doesn't matter if the urges are sexual, or materialistic, or gluttonous... God loves us, forgives us in Christ and then works on those urges we have to bring us more in line with how He intends us to be. We were born in sin but can be remade, reborn, in righteousness.
Fortunately being gay is the anomaly. Otherwise the human race would be toast.

25:20 we need more biblical accuracy in this American church. In Romans 1:18 the Greek word Katecho should be translated as hold, not suppress. If you look up Katecho, and every time it is used in the New Testament, the picture is of grabbing and holding, and pulling into yourself and squeezing tightly against oneself. Romans 1:18 is talking about how people hold the truth, which means they know it is true, but sin against God anyways. That is what the whole chapter is about it starts with: everyone knows God exist because of creation and this section ends with no one has an excuse. So they aren’t suppressing anything they’re holding onto the truth. They know it’s truth and they are sinning against God anyway, which is the beginning of the slide which is described here.
If someone tells you "I don't know what I did wrong" and you responded "yes you do, and you just don't want to admit it!" do you see how that conversation may get nowhere? If they actually don't know what they did wrong, then they're going to view you as crazy..

The Bible is clear we are all evil from childhood, because we are from
Works, sin rules and is our Master. No slave can go against the wishes of his master. Christian’s are still sinners if like the Pharisees you hide behind obeying the written word, act like you dont sin, truth is not in you. Satan is called the accuser, he uses the cursed weak law to accuse people day and night. He focuses on our weakness and we succumb. We are condemned humiliated in our sin, never good enough, can never measure up. If you follow the written word to make you righteous it leads you to death. Man cannot will himself from Sin. If it was a matter of choice then Christ would be irrelevant. There is no group of people more internally condemned than those who are sexually attracted to the same sex or identify as the opposite sex.
