Very impressive, the size in fact is negligible after watching this video I’m thinking the newer watch is an upgrade and slightly more refined. If after trying one on it feels better or as good as the older maxi case then I’d say this watch will be a winner! I like the thicker size of the hands they seem more substantial and sport like easier to view especially in the dark. The bracelet width I think is also a nice upgrade. Well done comparison 👍.

I didn’t understand why some took issue with the super case until I collected my Sub 41. Now whenever I wear my Hulk, it looks overly square. So I prefer the proportions of the Sub 41. Great video as usual Hafiz!

i must admit i was getting bored of all the reviews on the new rolex sub but after seeing yours i had to comment...what a brilliant, insightful comparison! the detailed measurements and observations of the dial and case were truly illuminating. also appreciated the accuracy test of the calibres and hope you incorporate such testing in future reviews. btw, glad you still have your hulk; i was half thinking of selling mine with all the hype but decided to keep it as it will become an icon and a classic.
I like the way this new Sub would compliment my 2004 five digit Sub better than the 2010-2020 six digit could. They’ve made it very tailored, faceted and crisp as though it was restyled by a jeweler who cuts diamonds.

Hi, I could be wrong but if you take a good hard look at the ROLEX font on the dial, the newer Sub will have a bolder font. As for the rotor noise is because newer Rolex movement started using ball bearing rotor vs the older bushing rotor.

I was actually thinking of maybe trading my 2019 Bluesy for a new one once they come out, but, even though I like the new watch, I still like mine better, mainly because (in the Bluesy's case) I just like the gold lettering over the white lettering. Strangely I prefer the older version which look more rough and tough for a dive watch on the wrist! The Maxi case make it looks very different from past Submariner and feel very different too on the wrist! It’s like comparing Daniel Craig vs Pierce Brosnan and other James Bond in the past! If one prefer a more refined look for suit and tie occasion, the GMT Batman or Yachtmaster rhodium dial will probably suit this role better! Thanks Hafiz for uploading another cracking video!
A master comparison. The only thing I would add would be to weight the case and bracelet separately from each other and see what percentage is on top and what percentage is on the sides/bottom. This balance is what provides a good wearing experience. Twice I sold a 16610 at different points in my life due to the watch feeling top heavy and overwhelming the bracelet. That's why I now wear a polar 16750 with solid end links, much better balanced on the wrist.
