excellent, this problem still exists for lexus is 2. I was looking for a way to remove just the part above and you gave it to me. thank you friend, now I have to think about a repair because I have visible cracks. maybe putty and paint or self-adhesive vinyl or like you if I find a professional. Hi
Nicely done. I purchased one of these cars a few hours ago and I was wondering how I was going to get that issue sorted. The dash has the same issue i believe, what's the remedy?
i would've said i had a stupid idea of sanding down mine and filling the holes and sand again before upholstering but i guess i wasnt the only one thinking that
Question: Do you also have the same problem on the dashboard? It's possible to fix it the same way? I also have an IS250 2006 and my dash is all bad and sticky. Great Video Btw!
@@williambarnicle569 It was not an actual recall. It was a limited time program that they would fix them. But the program ended a few years ago, so it is very unlikely that Lexus will fix them. I mean they will for a great cost, but no longer for free.
Is there a way to buy those panels by themselves without buying the whole door panel I don't want to wrap it I just want to get new ones after market anything if anyone knows

Would love a video of it installed and how it looks, great work on it I plan to do this to mine aswell
The screws that you used to put the panel back together, were those short short screws so it doesn’t come out on the other side?
Hey bro, did you end up using the plastic welder for this? Seems like you have to weld some new plastic for the screws to bite into
Great Video , I wonder if they sell that piece individually online. Shops around me are quoting too much for the job of wrapping them.
Someone finally did it! It looks great! Will be doing this to mine now. Thank you!
howd it go?

🤣😂😭
Did the plastics weld not work too well? A shop in Tampa quoted me $250/door to cover them. Claimed it was a lot of work.
Thank you so much, this video helped tremendously in fixing my sticky door panels.
Awesome video! Great idea, well presented. You saved me a lot of time and probably expense. Thanks
Did the upholstery shop just go over top of the sticky part?
The upper part I can buy it separately? Without buying the whole door panel??
Also trying to find this out
You can't.
How did you they come out wraping them?
Hello, what type of shop can do this work?
i would've said i had a stupid idea of sanding down mine and filling the holes and sand again before upholstering but i guess i wasnt the only one thinking that
What size drill bit did you use to drill out the plastic welds? Thanks.

They make dash covers specifically for this car that once you put them on you can’t even tell it’s there. It looks like the original dash.
