Thanks for sharing. Lexus did the SAME THING with the ES’s sticky dashboard and only a select amount of people got the recall notice and a LOT of us are left stuck with the sticky dashboard. Lexus should be ashamed of themselves with this because this is a complete failure and lack of customer service which is the opposite of what Lexus claims they are! We even have a group on Facebook about it! I may give this a shot for my ES! Thanks!
Dude that looks amazing! Id probably go crazy due to attentive to detail id have to be rather than 'slap it on.' Good job. Ill probably do this to my maxima 12'
It looks breathtaking man, congrats. I also owe an IS and i would like to do this also but I'm not sure if I will be able to do it well. Honestly, do you think everyone can do this by himself or i'ts better to pay a professional service for this? Maybe it will be nice to start with the doors to learn how works it? Thank you man
Thanks for this feedback i love it! I did exactly the same, I’m a first timer myself and tried out on the door panels first, (tutorial for door panels is posted on this channel already), then i did it myself on the dash. You’ll do great buddy!
Very very nice! Im def gonna try this on my isf, sticky dash has been driving me crazy. What are the yellow tools that you used to pry the ends of the suede in to the dash crevices? Do you have the tool set name?
Yeah a black leather wrap would be perfect too, but i already did my conversion to suede haha, i dont have a secondary car currently to do anything else. But the concept and installation is the same process to follow
Could you tell me the size roll or how many rolls you would need to order to door all 4 door panels ? The dash board is perfect atm . Please let me know as we are buying a Lexus this weekend and it’s so sticky and black sticky messy all over the doors . Thank you Nicola P.S we are buying a 2008 IS250 ( thank you ) Your response is very much appreciated 🙏🏻
For all four doors i think 1 unit of 40x 150cm would be good. If i were you i would get 1 unit of 20 x 300cm , the extra material always comes in handy 😄
Hello just one more question could you please put the link for the indoor panels in the link here , for some reason I can’t find it?🙃 also do you think it will last for the inner door panels /trims and actually stick to the sticky cracking indoor panels . I should do this research before I buy, but it’s the first car that is comfortable for the terrible new neck restraints 😬 on other vehicles. Many thanks for your help
@nicolaaustralia1 sure, I already made a tutorial for the door panels, here is the link for it: ruclips.net/video/6eS1GxCl8do/видео.html Below is the product link: mightytechstore.com/products/self-adhesive-leather-repairs-suede-fabric-patch-for-car-interior-renovation-velvet-diy-refinisher-tape-patch-leathercraft
Hello and many thanks for the video, i've the same issue on my CT200 and i will try to do the same. first question : the product link you give, show a maximum of 15inch fabric sheet, but your sheet seem widely bigger, can you please clarify ? second question: can you please provide an update about the evolution of the sheet (destachment, disbonding, decoloration etc .) if any ?
I bought the 40 x 145 cm, check the link there is an option to select size. This is enough for dashboard. Its been couple of months for me, no discoloration yet. I love it
great video, i took my lexus to get tinted and the shop ruined my dashboard so ive been looking for a good way to cover up. Altho idk if I want to use alcantara.
I have a 2010 Lexus Is350c and I can’t seem to find my audio cables. My car has sound with the oem stereo. They may be hardwired to something that the aftermarket device doesn’t have a port for. Do you know of any solutions as to where the audio cables might be or another method to connect to the speakers/sound system?
Oh, I have a full tutorial on how to install the aftermarket CarPlay screen in Lexus IS, you can follow the instructions and you will find the audio cables there.
I have the same Lexus IS250 minds is a 07 what color is yours mine's is blue if the sunlight hits it right it'll turn black and the interior is the same exact color as yours black and beige
I plan to buy from your link, how much will i need for all 4 doors and the dash just like how your car is? Will the 40 x 140cm be enough or will i need more?
You wild if you think an airbag can pop out thru that dash and it wouldn't be able to break thru that vinyl suede lol.. and there was a carpeted dash before that's like 50x stronger than that vinyl lol was that cut?
Dashboard? Lexus wouldn’t recall the engine in my 2014 GX460 with coolant valley seal flaw that is their fault! Lexus getting bad with taking care of their customers
The best one ive seen so far even your doors look mint i tried my doors but the material i used wasnt the greatest nice work man
Glad you liked it!
Props for major patients ‼️‼️‼️👍🏼
wow amazing job.

@@philiplee1216 thank you Philip 🫡
hey. Amazing work. I have a question regarding the color fading due to sunlight. How can we prevent that
I park indoors, but you can use a UV protection spray like Scotchgard to prevent fading
came out very good 🤙🏼
Very very nice! Im def gonna try this on my isf, sticky dash has been driving me crazy. What are the yellow tools that you used to pry the ends of the suede in to the dash crevices? Do you have the tool set name?
Thanks man, those would be any generic tinting/wrapping tools, mine i got along with the tint rolls i bought couple of months ago
@@buildfixcars Thanks!
is there a way you can do this but not suede? i dont really like the suede look, kinda want more of a oem leather look
Yeah a black leather wrap would be perfect too, but i already did my conversion to suede haha, i dont have a secondary car currently to do anything else. But the concept and installation is the same process to follow
What about the passenger airbag? Did you make cuts around it or are you confident that the airbag will go through the material? 🙂
Yeah 14:15 i did make sure to overlap a deep cut through the fabric over passenger airbags
What I'm interested is that infotainment screen, where do I get that?
I put the product links in description. I trust this supplier.
Thanks for that great job 👏!! Is that black color or charcoal bro?
Thanks, it’s black suede

Does this kit comes with the thing to cut and the plastic trim removal
You’ll get a plastic trim tool, cutting is easy, scissors work fine

@@buildfixcars by the way how is it now after coupl of months? did it get anny sun and heat? seems like the sticky stuff gets worse with heat...
looks stunning! No sunburn or any fading
A good fix as there aren't any other options pretty much, but personally I feel it looks too gaudy and just doesn't look good.
Are those aftermarket vent clips on your ac vents ???
Nope, OEM, upgraded to 2012, i have a tutorial on that

Id like to do this with pleather or something not suede. Looks good though, not my taste.
How the airbag passanger will come out?
I made a slit on the airbag side
I plan to buy from your link, how much will i need for all 4 doors and the dash just like how your car is? Will the 40 x 140cm be enough or will i need more?

Amazing💯

11:15 is your air vent wrapped? Whats the carbon piece on the vent
Its a carbon sticker wrap. Some people like it, I personally dont like how it turned out
hey, where are u located sir‽
What about the airbag
@@mik4mik4 14:15 I know what you mean, already took care of it.
