Pro Job Wonderful! Best door card repair I've seen yet! I'm glad to have also learned about the Polyamide Glue! I'm learning all I can before tackling my 2012 VW GTI! Thanks for this game changer vid! 👍 Liked, subbed, and saved!!!
Hi couls you tell me what kind of backing foam you used? And which materials are commenly used and what thickness? Im going to replace mine and wasnt able to find information.
Looks great! Hopefully mine turns out just as good.. gonna try to do it myself but we shall see… it’s a 2014 Cruze.. wanting to replace that mesh shit on my dash and door panels with leather
It is amazing how much better it looks with one piece of vinyl, surprised Toyota doesnt do this from the factory specially considering how much Toyotas cost.
@stevenzemo8602 Pause at 04:07 for the specifics, but it is essentially a higher capability hot glue. If you have any further questions, please feel free to email sales@leatherseats.com.
You place extra backing foam to make it softer when you touch it? First time I see something like that. Most fabrics here are ready for use with foam on the back. I guess that what you do here is better than that thing I saw here. Am i right?
Hello! The backing foam is to give the material a soft touch and to make it lay evenly on the hard surfaced being wrapped. You can certainly use a material that already has foam laminated on the backside. The material we used was not available with a foam backing, so we added our own! Thank you for your comment.

Reverse curves are certainly one of the most challenging parts to upholstery. Between having the material laminated to backing foam, using a foam with scrim backing on both sides, and a lot of patience, it can be accomplished.
I need help, Im redoing 98 4runner door panels and the glue Im using makes it impossible to tuck the vinyl into the crevices. Its like in this video but the crevices arent at the end of the piece, rather in the middle! I'm losing my mind!!!!!

@user-tp8zt8dy8v If you are referring to the tool at 4:30 it is a rivet tool/gun. We also used a pneumatic spray gun for the contact adhesive at 2:05 Hope that helps! If you have any questions, feel free to call or text us at 405-848-9999 👍

We drilled out the rivets to remove the window trim, and then installed new rivets with our powered rivet gun, just using standard rivets. If you need any assistance during your project, let us know!
@LeatherSeats I didn't even know you could buy a rivet gun, I'm not even sure what "a standard rivet" is? Does it come in a certain size? Design shape?
Thanks for sharing this. I want to redo my interior in my Cutlass Supreme and this gave me motivation 🙌🏽 💪🏽 💯
Do it!
Outstanding outcome.

Very interesting and educational video. How do you do for hollow shapes, which is often the case with door panels.
