- yourcolorstyle... ~ Do you have warm undertones or cool undertones? Sometimes it's hard to tell and if you have yellow skin or olive skin tone, it can be even more confusing. I've created a video explaining what undertones are and showing you how this affects your overall skin tone.

Wow this was fantastic! Would you be able to go more in detail and how to identify slightly warm or slightly cool undertones that are essentially called by people as olive and neutral? That would be super interesting to see
Hands down the best and easiest way to figure out your undertones! Thank you so much for making this video!
You're so welcome!
finally after years : I know I am cool! With olive and blue - almost violet veins… and with a golden shimmery overtone…
Could you talk about olive skin. I think I am a warm olive
A warm olive goes perfectly with cheese and crackers
I cannot thank you enough. I had a hard time figuring out what was my undertone and chroma. You made it so clear and easy. Thank you !!!
Is it also possible to be right in between? Like just SLIGHTLY cool/warm - or even neutral?
Can you do this with olive and neutral skin tones? Ty
Yes please!!!
Hi Jen! those past few days I just discovered I have cool tone. At first I thought I was warm because of my yellow skin but analyzing the pictures where I’m wearing a warm toned outfit I can clearly see now how dull and lifeless I looked. I typed myself as a bright, warm and deep first then soft, warm and deep since the bright colors looked terrible on me but even with the soft ones there was still something missing. I’m assuming now that I am a Bright, cool and deep considering shining black clothing looks great on me. I don’t want to sound rude or anything but even whit this video I couldn’t see my skin on the cooler side, I feel like the people that are usually used on social media that are told to have a cool tone, either have a pink skin tone or a very fair or really deep skin. And at least to me it leaves the other types of people kinda clueless to weather they actually have a cool tone. I know you tried to be more general with the video but I think one where show pictures of people and kinda point out those minor differences between skin and undertone would be very helpful. You truly helped me in my journey understanding my best colors🖤🖤 Love from Brazil
This has been THE most helpful information on undertones for me.
Can you please do more info on olive skin? What are some hidden rules w olive? I have your deep bright and cool palette and I love it except for chartreuse- can you make a video about olive skin next to certain colors they shouldn’t wear? Ty!
Another commenter who would love more information about olive skin! I have fairly light olive skin, medium brown neutral/ashy hair, and green brown eyes. I was naturally ash blonde until young adulthood, but am complimented most when my hair is dyed medium to dark brown/auburn.
That's the thing.. olive is cool and people just don't realize it. Neutral is probably actually cool or warm but for some, it could mean they have a different dominant characteristic. (Soft or bright, light or dark). And you need to consider 'universal' colours, navy/teal/purple and others look good on everyone. I'm fair but warm and have a lot of purple, teal, burgundy in my closet and they all work for me but I need to start wearing my BEST colours some of which are in my hazel eyes - warm golden brown, soft golden yellow and toned olive green. It is so confusing! After looking into this for over a year, I think I have determined that I am a soft autumn, or soft/warm/medium in this system.. just about to darken my light ash blonde hair to a mixture of blonde/brown with both cool and warm tones. (Naturally brown hair with warm tones, but in my twenties started turning all pure white being blessed with the white hair gene in the family - not letting that show just yet!) My mom has hazel eyes like me and with her pure white hair wears cool medium tones best.. a winter season (yet growing up she coloured her hair auburn and was absolutely an autumn). Jen doesn't mention light ash blonde/hazel eye combinations much, or pure white hair.
Although I agree that olives don't cleanly fit most color analysis charts, I disagree that olive is "cool." I've seen cool olives and warm olives, in skin and in palettes. I'd love to hear Jen talk more about figuring out which olives are which.
Awesome video Jen! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Hi Jen, I would also like more info on olive skin tones! I would describe myself as a fair olive (next to friends in the mirror I look seriously green and I have to mix green/blue into neutral foundation) with dark brown almost-black hair that gets naturally more golden brown in the summer and hazel eyes. would you say that’s deep & cool? and soft or bright? Thanks!
This explanation is awesome! Thank you sooooo much!❤
I m deep,warm undertone,beige ivory thank u so much ma'am
This is super helpful.
I'm so glad!
Love this!
It has been very useful. But please explain those to figure out the undertone of those girls who are medium complexioned , cool black haired and green eyed. But their wrist shows blue vein. Please explain their colour pallete.
You sound like you have cool undertones based on your description. Green eyes can be cool or warm.
@@YourColorStyleyour colour pallete analysis is very inspiring. Thank you so much the way you do all these. But would be more grateful if you categorize colour pallete for a woman with cool black haired green eyed medium complexioned but with a blue vein.
Love your videos! Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Great video
Thanks!
Thank you so much for this excellent video.
You're very welcome!
I don’t think I fit into your quiz! I feel like I have cool skin with some warmth to my deep hair and eyes. I have pale olive-toned skin with veins that appear blue to me in some areas but I think they look greenish in other areas of my skin (though I may be overthinking it, I really can’t tell!) The dark circles under my eyes definitely have blue/purple undertones, and I have always preferred silver jewelry because I think it looks better. My hair is a nearly-black brown with natural red highlights in sunlight, and my eyes are a dark brown with gold flecks in the outer iris and a brown-black outer ring. Should I go by my skin tone and say my coloring is cool overall?
I would say, based on how you describe yourself, that you are bright, cool and deep.
Thank you
You're welcome
No you made it sound so much more confusing I'm sorry just being honest thanks
