The video about building a color palette for COOL undertones is now online too: ruclips.net/video/XDThBOFWdzw/видео.html 😘
Absolutely love all these videos and looking forward to the black/white/grey. I have the hardest time telling my vein color!
I am warm but I dislike this colors😢
I love jewel tones, I can do both warm and cool, but pastels make me look ill. Love this series!
SAME. Pastels look horrible on me!
Me too.
exactly. I hate pastels on me with a burning passion. I look sicly. Buy jewel colors - I always get compliments when I wear my fave deep purples, deep greens and deep reds. :)
Same, I think it may be that I'm more "olive". Also, pastels make me look like a corpse.
same!
It’s interesting that when you added black it created a camo color range. That’s why the camo colors work in harmony with one another. Gosh this is so good!
Loving this color series so far! As a warm-colored myself, I find it soooo hard to resist the urge for cool hues :(
A major change came when I bought a beautiful orange dress for my birthday last year and I discovered how big the difference is when you wear colors that match your skin and don't compete with it.
@@Beteljess you mean Justine's video? Not at all. I don't know if you've seen her previous videos, but she has been very vocal about personal style and high quality clothing. She even has several videos against fast fashion and excessive buying.
@@Beteljess I mean, you can wear whatever color you like, that's not the point of the video.
I think she's just trying to show which colors will look better depending on your skin tone. This isn't something exactly new, she's just structuring it on a video series. I think everyone has an item of clothing that gets them compliments such as "that color looks amazing on you!" And that's what she's trying to show in this video, the colors that will give you that special glow.
I love some shades of pink, even the ones that are too cold for me. Will I stop wearing them? No. But I'll definitely try to find warmer shades in the future. That doesn't mean I'll be throwing my pink rain boots away.
@@MarielaInojosa very well answered. I wanted to say the same :) I think in the next video she might add pink to our palette as it is red+white :D
I am also warm and have a great orange dress for the summer. I wish it was not so hard to find clothes based on a warm palette all year round.
As a cool person i have trouble resisting warm toned colours
I agree it IS a pity. There’s so much that can be done with color.
I love this so much. I'd watch 1hr live video on this seeing how you play with colours in real life. I learn so much from you 💕
Justine this new color series is so helpful ps love how you matched your lipstick color to the color of your blouse❤
Wow. This was so helpful. I'm in the process of creating my colour palette.
I have also been choosing middle hues like Coral and Golden yellow. I was elated to see that you recommended such a combination
I’m going to be a little bit annoying, I do apologise in advance since I’m sure you already know these tidbits that I find missing.
One of my main AHA moments with colour students was when I revealed to them that their long-standing view of the colour palette division of cool and warm divided in half was narrow. That there are, in fact, cool yellows and warm blues; that the temperature in them could also be accentuated by the surrounding chroma depending on the proportion of the sample, and that there were so many more unexplored possibilities once they opened that door.
The other thing I find missing is a deeper dive in olive undertones. We can be both cool and warm, as well! I do appreciate that these two tangents of information can over complicate a short, easy video, but since you’re a very good communicator and you are doing a series, I dare say a lot of people would love to go in depth at this possibility of expression.
My entire wordrobe is black, blue and green, and i just realised I have warm toned skin... Face palm! That's why I always look tired and deppresed!
Absolutely loving your colour series Justine. I'm cool toned and my daughter is warm toned so have been guiding her on colour choices. We are both so much happier with our wardrobe content 😊 Thank you 😉
Wow, this is so eye-opening! I am always struggling to find colors that suit me, and this video helped me feel more confident about choosing colors! Thank you so much Justine! Looking forward to new episodes!
I am going to watch this video a few more times so I can really understand this. I am warm undertone and love brights but I love how you are mixing more muted colors to this to really add depth. Love this!
This was great! Can’t wait to see the next one 😉
This is great video! Thank you. can't wait for the next one
Merci, Justine! Coming later than usual to this one, but wow, so informative & fun. Excellent application of color theory. I love the technique of using a shade of the pure hue as a neutral base for a wardrobe palette. I learn so much from you. Looking forward to the cool lesson next time!
Between Trinny and Justine you can’t go wrong with understanding colour in your wardrobe
I loved the deep red hues with a pop of coral. I’m going to try that combination! Another great video Justine. 🤎❤️🧡
Justine, this is a great new series and I am so excited for the next episodes! Even tough I've watched your previous videos on color theory, I feel like this series helps me understand those principles even more. Thank you 💕
I am so enjoying this series. Playing with colours is my thing!
I love this! Now it's making sense why I'm drawn to brown and navy instead of black, as a slightly warm toned person, and why I like my browns/camels and aqua greens and blues together - they're complementary, if you account for the pure hues!
This is fantastic. I can’t wait to watch the rest of the series!
I love colour on other people, but the toned down suits my skintone, personal style and personality (it’s also the designer and architects uniform 😄) with a pop on lips 💋 Loving this series!
Thank you! As an autumn colour type - this is exactly what I started to do and now my drying rack usually looms like a painting. Because the colours match so well together and there are so many different colours. Thank you for the tips on how to build a monochrome outfit, that looks very colourful and joyfull. And my appreciacion on how pedagogically well built your series is. ♥️
Thank you for the video. I am a Warm Spring and have worn my warm tone colors for years. I always feel good and everything I buy goes together. Glad to see you embracing this. It's such fun, as well. .
can't wait to see the next video in this series :)
I certainly love tuned down reds - bordeaux is one of my favourite colours.
Yay! I hope you do OLIVE cool undertones because we are a separate alien species 😁
Yes that would be really lovely!
Yes! Please do neutral-cool undertone with warm overtone!
Yes please! And olive warm undertones! I’m so confused about those lol
@@carosamchwa3081 You have it easier though! 😭
@@di3486 Sometimes! But most of the time I’m just confused😅 one of the colors that I do gravitate to is a wine red
Je suis ravie de trouver une vidéo avec beaucoup d’informations!! Bravo et merci beaucoup 😊
thank you justine i was looking forward for this video, now looking forward for the next in the series. i've a warm undertone and i'm very attracted by the tuned down warm tones, and now I understand why I have so many brown pieces, they are my neutral!
Such a lovely and informative video! Loved it! Loving this series! Your videos are always such a breath of fresh air!
Hi Justine! I've been waiting for your cool tone video xx
You look fabulous in this dark warm red (bordó). I remember your old video a few years ago, but this was better for me. I know my color type and the colors that look good on me, and yet your illustrations with color swatches give me an even deeper understanding.
I love the deep rich reds. I want to wear red but want the right one since I am warm undertoned. Heading over to the lipstick video and awaiting your next video in this series.
Thank you for another succinct explanation of the colour palates. I have a more yellow-warm undertone and realised I naturally tend to gravitate towards corals and earthy browns for my lipsticks. I'll now consciously try to include these in my wardrobe as well :)
this is a very good learning 👏👏👏
Thank you so much Justine! I find understanding my best colours to be terribly challenging!
Merci Justine for another very interesting video! I am cool undertoned, but love learning about colours with you. Looking forward to your next video in this series! Warm wishes from the Netherlands
you are my holy grail! very informative video as always. thank you, justine!
Hi Justine! Thank you for making this series about colour, a topic I am very interested in! A few years ago I discovered through a colour analysis that I have a warm skin undertone and since then, I always look for what I call ‘autumn colours’. And you’re right: when you’ve build up your wardrobe around (in my case: tuned) colours, the combinations are endless 😊! Again: thanks for this inspiring and interesting video!
Thank you so much for this series. I am warm. This video resonates with me. I wish I had the color cards to use when shopping for clothes. I will anxiously await every new video in this series.
Very good video. I can`t wait for the next one.
I have been looking for a channel like yours for ages and I'm so glad you were finally recommended to me on another one of your videos. Subbed 👍
Eagerly awaiting the cool toned version of this series
*screams in excitement*
Thank you so much Justine! I'm in the middle of renewing my wardrobe and this is just what I needed 💕
Thanks Justin... I love your no nonsense videos... You don't waste my time. Yet the videos have appropriate information.
love this color series!! I love orange, corals and browns
I always learn so much from your colour theory videos Kristen🥺 thank you so much for always making such comprehensible videos for us! I am a warm olive tho and i would appreciate it if a video similar to this one were to be made in your style for olive undertones 🧡 keep up the good work !🧡
👏🏼 Thank you very much for your contribution into popularizing the basics of color theory!
I am on the warm side of the color wheel, and I’ve replaced “standard neutrals” in my wardrobe with warm, earthy tones. I have always seen that pure black&grey&white do not suit me well, but I worked in the bank and I was somewhat restricted by corporate dresscode. I did what I could to flow towards warm pallette, i.e. choosing a milky white or cream white rather than blueish or greyish white etc. In the last few years I’ve left that job to become accessories designer and I am gradually changing all my wardrobe basics into beige/orange/terracotta/brown with a pops of grass green, olive green, yellow, coral, red and everything that looks good on me.
Still have some black and white clothes, but much less than before and I’m really happy about it.
I like to dress colorfully and I feel great wearing colors, even pure hues.
Justine, I am so happy to watch your videos. My grandmother was French and she taught me soooo much about fashion. I adore your videos because they remind me so much about Juliette, my granmere who I loved so much.
As the last woman said, I'm the opposite, cool but I do love coral. Can't wait for the cool mix, I loved how you added black and showed us such an array of brown. We forget how versatile it is.
Great video! I'm a cool tone myself, so I'm waiting for the next episode to get some good ideas. Loved the pop of bright colours, especially the yellow one :)
Thanks for this very much, Justine. Looking forward to the color palette video for cool skin undertone :)
Thank you Ms. Justine for your videos on color palette. I knew already what colour suits me and it made me feel better.
You are the still the most educational creator among all the ones I'm subscribed to.. I so enjoy when you show colour cards for example, coz when people just verbally describe or show it on screen it's hard to understand what it will look like in the physical world under natural light !!
Love this series 💖 Very much looking forward to the cool video
My closet and I needed this. I know it takes some time to master colors, so thank you for making it easier for us to understand. Now I feel like I need to do some visual exercises. Great weekend ahead, J 🙂
Ahh now I understand why I love both yellow and kaki so much! Thanks Justine :) I guess I will combine them more in one outfit as well.
Your videos are addictive, I learn a lot about style and fashion with you. Thank you.
Great series. Can’t wait for more xx
justine you're so great! been ejoying your content for years now. thank you so mucho :)
You are very at explaining the color analysis things. I have watched many gurus clips but yours is the easiest to understand and to apply! You’re awesome!!!!
As usual, well done M'aam!
I love playing colors, but my challenge these days is that my skin tone is warm (my wardrobe is full of golden-warm-browns, golds, reds--basically, my closet is eternally Autumn), but now I need to balance that with my cool-toned naturally gray hair which really pops with cool tones! That burgundy shirt, by the way, is fabulous!
I have the same problem: a wardrobe full of darker warm tones and my new hair (Before an operation they shaved them all and they grow back whitout the warm tones. I think my age adds to it.). My hair is mostly mid- to darker neutral brown with some greys. I toned down the colors in my wardrobe and wear more neutral with them - it helped. But Im still sorry, I couldn't wear my golden browns with my bright yellows in one outfit anymore. I will incorporate them like accessories - according to Justina's proposal.
Same here, I have warm undertones, and now white hair. I used to look nice in deep browns and reds, now the reds not so much. I never wore pastels and I looked horribly in greys, now grey looks nice, and pastels even nicer, including blue... It’s a bit confusing. :) Someone on another channel said that with grey/white hair pastels are out and we should wear dark colours and black. I look a hundred years old in black and sick, plus I really don’t like black, so definitely no black for me. Braun still looks nice though.
I wonder what Justine would say about this.
i cant wait for the next episode ...i love this subject as im creating my capsule wadrobe now
Can't wait for the video concerning the cool undertones!
Patiently waiting for the next episode on cool undertones 💙
Can't wait to watch the cool episode 😍
Inspirational, educational and so elegantly presented! Thank you, Justine!
Thanks Justine, it was very helpful to hear that brown can be a better neutral than black for warm undertones. I discovered this accidentally when buying my first brown coat last winter - it's been a game-changer! I definitely preferred the darker tones in this video with the exception of bright coral.
As a fellow Berliner I fully support your coup for more much-needed colour :)
Love your well-informed videos, Justine! I'm a warm undertone, red is my accent colour and I'm trying to move away from black as my go-to neutral, especially as I usually wear it on top to balance out my inverted triangle frame. Hard transition, it's so practical!
Awesome series! I just got an acid green sweater that is totally out of my comfort zone but now I see how I can pair it. I am drawn to more peach and coral, but also golds and yellows. And now I know why my color pallete looks so dark, although its not all black.
Now that you’re doing this great series I will finally read Josef Albers’ little book on the interaction of colors. Thank you Justine!
Amazing series! Thanks a lot Justine for bringing this to us! It would be also very helpful to see the same thing for other colours, blue, purple, grey...Also looking forward to watching the part on neutrals, I sometimes find it a bit difficult to determine whether a beige is cooler or warmer. Thanks again!
Your top & lipstick 💄 colour 😍 you look fantastic! The colour/tone/hues videos are great! 😃 Looking forward to more!
Thanks Justine, this was great! I love all of the above. I need to study it some more to find which works best for me.
I love the burgundy and wine tones. I move towards black and dark colours, but this series makes me wonder if I should explore brilliant ones. Thanks for the tips, Justine!
This video is amazing! I'm more a tuned down type of person. But I'm definitely going to use the tips you've provided. Thank you.
another extremely useful video
Thank you for the video! I'really looking forward to the video about cool undertone
Love this , I’m warm tone and love all the autumnal colours , but I fell in love with a navy blue trench which I’m pairing with burgundy and sometime mustards , I think it’s working well !!!
Justine, thank you for your great content!
I love this series about color theory. This video just reassured me that I'm doing things right in my wardrobe. All the clothes I wear look exactly like the second and third row of the warm colors mixed with black + the peachy pink. I love to wear my burgundy culottes with a peachy- old rose ribbed turtleneck and some gold or rose gold coloured jewellery.
I love colors ey😍😍 Thank uuu for educating us
Can’t wait for the cool toned video
Soooo nicely explained! Thank you! Looking forward to see video on cool undertones as well :)
Can't wait for the cool tones!
Hi Justine! Love your videos. Really looking forward to seeing one for cool tones too!
What a great topic! I've been dwelving all my life with color issues in my wardrobe. I think I may have warm undertone but cool greens, blues and greys suit me the most. These are very hard to find in stores because most collections (specially winter collections) gravitate a lot arround beije. It´s the worse color ever for me because it makes me look sick like anemic sick. It´s very frustrating because it matches everything and I find it very pleasing to the eye. However I'm sticking to your advice and choosing what looks good on me. Best thing ever. I narrowed down my wardrobe by 80% and I feel much happier. Thank you Justine!
Thanks Justine!
Your videos are so so helpful! You're a saviour ❤
Wish you the best!
I just love your videos!!!!!
Great video breaking down colours and I like the brighter lighter colours as I am fair haired. Looking forward to the next video with neutrals. Merci beaucoup.
Such a good series! Can't WAIT for the cool palate video. I'm cool toned but am so attracted to toned down earthy warm tones 😖
I cannot wait for the cool tone video now!! :)
Thank you for mentioning brown as a neutral! I am a very fair autumn, and black looks terrible on me. There is not enough talk of brown as the alternative. I love wearing color too- all the ones you mentioned, and any warm orange is my favorite!
This has been really helpful! Love this channel ❤️
Loooove this new series so much Justine 😍 looking forward to the next episode since I'm cool toned, but really enjoyed this video as well! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for your expertise. I love this series and it's helped me so much in gravitating towards colors that are best for me. TFS 😊💕
The way you explain color theory is so much easier to understand and will help me look at colors so differently when I shop for clothes. Thank you
You are brilliant, Justine! I’ll say it again. A modern day Da Vinci. I love your scientific, left-brain breakdowns of creative, right-brain topics. Just brilliant!
Was so excited when this series started! But still waiting for the one for those of us with cool tones. 😁
Been waiting for this video😭 Finally🥰 Thanks so much Justine!!❤ God Bless you
I am 100% cool-toned (always "winter", in those seasonal-color analyses) but I still watched because you're such a fountain of knowledge, and such a pleasure to listen to!
