What a beautiful machine. I grew up in Southern California and in the mid 80s-90s I used to watch fleets of these monsters (and 651s and 657s) bring down the mountains. Oh the good old days👍👍

    Hi, vantagetes.
IF that tractor is the original for that can, it would, IF my memory serves me rightly, be a 77F series tractor with a 3X3 transmission. I see that the tractor also has traction control eneabling the front wheels to be lifted off the ground to transfer all of the tractor's weight to the drive wheels.
The "A" series cans had the bowl lift rams located in close to the goosenech while the "B" series cans had the bowl lift rams moved out towards the sides of the draught beam. The "B" series tractors also had an 8-speed transmission.
    Thanks for posting.
    Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. best wishes. Deas Plant.

I agree we use four green TS14B scrappers, hardy ever have problems with them add the two stroke Detroit's (4-71), slow but they get the job done

@@RyanHatterer-Ryanns999 When the "Boss" says use the CAT 4140 Dozer which is from the 1960's, I am grinning from ear to ear. It has never missed a workday in its life. The D8 (2015) on the other hand seem to breakdown any day ending in Y

You’ve got money to throw away! You should have restored a 623 or 633 paddlewheel, unless you have a push cat in your pocket.

They do in fact, have a push cat in their pocket. They have a DD9G being restored.
