    When I worked for Kiewit when we built the Los Vaqueros reservoir up by Vasco Rd up in Livermore Ca they had a team of six 651s and 2 D10 rip cats and 2 D10 push cats. Those guys would back up in tandem in 3rd gear! With 2 10s behind a 651 in that soft dirt they had the it boiling over the top after the can barely touched the ground! It was something else! I ran a brand new 825 compactor on the dam all summer, it was a great time and an amazing experience. Thanks for a trip down memory lane! Be safe out there! 🇺🇸💪👊👍

      I ran a Push Cat as shown and a 651 too, and we'd push in 2nd and usually back up in 3rd.....

    Rock loads better up hill, rolls back in the bowl .

    • @wailnshred
      @wailnshred 10 месяцев назад

      Yeah, people on here freak out about uphill loading, but gravity tends to pull material into the bowl that way. I'm not recommending trying to load uphill on a steep slope mind you, but depending on the material sometimes it's productive.

    • @AndyFromBeaverton
      @AndyFromBeaverton 10 месяцев назад +2

      It also loads better when they close the apron earlier and do not let some of the load fall out.
