- On this episode we feature Jesser's 1991 limited edition Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 (#1117 of 2000 produced). This AWD 4G63 powered sleeper is pushing 800+WHP on 40PSI of boost! He found this JDM gem for just $1200 after finding it sitting on the side of someone's house for over 10 years, he did most of the work himself restoring it to it's current glory. This Galant spins all four tires and is one heck of a wild ride, enjoy the full feature video!
I like this guy... honest, humble and dedicated... great build... it’s what it’s about...
I wanna Drive in that car
The Galant VR4 is such a cool car
It’s the daddy of the Evo
And the eclipse AND the 3000gt...
I had a 392 bhp evo1
Some fans love to call it the Evo 0
@@OscillatorCollective and the starion
@@ahmedislam2580 yeah, the STARION/CONQUEST is practically my favorite Japanese car...
4g61 head... lol! I love it! I got 9.875:1cr out of mine. It happens when it's shaved down .035" past the serviceable limit. I can't tell you how much I appreciate seeing so many new GVR-4 uploads lately. Thanks TRC!
Hi bro,I am from Malaysia, proud of yours 4g63 bro,4g63 in Malaysia still famous, also is my favorite engine👍well done for you rebuild this gallant, awesome bro👍👍👍
@@tecktsair Hahah! that video isn't public... and I haven't finished the next one yet. How did you find out? :)
@@Jafromobile Always good to see Jafromobile in the chat lol :) Say brotha how is the Scoupe doing? You still modifying that thing working out the kinks on it or you working on the Galant now?
I read this like you narrate your videos 😂
I see Galant vr4, I click with a thumbs up.
My father worked for Mitsubishi and would bring these home when I was a young kid. I own an Evo now. I love these and its the first Evo in reality. Great car
Another video with my hydrodip work in it! If you like that valve cover, check out our channel!
Here is a guy who is not afraid to break out the calipers and check what is cross compatible. Very cool
Yeah that’s so fucking sick RT 10 calipers and mustang rotors and shit
@@spazzologist lol.
He’s talking about precision measuring devices, not brakes.
He seems like such a nice guy. Respect epic car
He is nice
One of the coolest realest people for sure!
VR-4 the father of the Evo..DSM, etec.... Its contribution to JDM culture cannot be underestimated.
This is authentic TRC let's keep this going on.
Tom's Turbo Garage... Memories... Lol
Yes!! Love that channel. His gallant and the GNX were my favorites
Major props for this super sick gem! The DSM platform is one that for sure got me into tuner cars for life 🙏
I swear every time I see a watch someone go over their custom build it’s always here in Denver Colorado! So many fun builds out here, and I hear them fly by every day!
Definitely a true car enthusiast! humble as hell about it and is straightforward, it's not always easy but it's always worth it in the end, DSM life!
Legit just picked up a dumb clean 91 Galant VR4, #829 😬
Awesome!
Now you know what it’s capable of.. with a MASSIVE amount of LEGOs to start building it up😂
Have a 1992 galant
I just picked up #843 over summer!
THANK YOU! for 4K content!!!!!!! them engine bays are so nice now
This thing is so nice love the japanese hot rod vibes
so many mitsubishi parts in Malaysia. trust me. we all obsessed to this three diamond ♦️. i'm from Malaysia 🇲🇾

@@Suppavuth yow bro thailand also lots of mitsubishi parts. correct me if i'm wrong.
yes.Bro.
Excellent turbo choice
Do you still build TD05/06H turbos for Mitsubishis?
Love reviews like this. Nice sounding humble guy. Down to earth. Nice car too. Love vr4's and this is one clean example.
I had no.1806 with 505HP, rebuilt rear steering system. Nothing as fancy as yours. Sold it when the engine gave out unexpectedly. I still miss my boosted grocery-getter.
Love a VR4 Galant!!
So glad to see these cars getting the respect and appreciation they deserve! Love the Galant VR4 chassis, old school DSM for the win
I used to have a a maroon colour 1991 Mitsubishi Galant that I put a completely rebuilt Japanese spec Galant Evo engine in. It had wiseco pistons, forged conrods, big ass custom Garrett turbo, big intercooler etc. Was a great car, watching this brings back wonderful memories. Wish I still had it today. Very underrated car. Mine was bullet proof.
This is how tuner guys speak
I used to own a GVR4. I love them. I sold it, and unfortunately it was mistreated and ended up in the junkyard (rust). I do have the original dash plaque though!
Nice build. Now I know my A/W intercooler idea will fit. Got a 2.2 build for my VR4 happening now. Can't wait to pass someone while smoking all 4.
I like the 80’s production in the intro
This was refreshing to see on the channel.
I had the old Galant 1990 without any upgrade going to 120 miles quick and still car drive easy, I can't imagine how the VR-4 going more power than the original ones all thanks to the legendary engine 4G63! , thanks I've enjoyed watching it.
Ohh myy sick GVR-4.. love it so much, not to mention this guy is so humble it is.. thanks a lot TRC for the video 🌹😎
Beautiful car. Love how this guy is about fun and family.
The shots and editing on this video were beyond next level.
Galant was always the quintessential Sleeper👍
Not really only 2I made in awd turbo vr4 form..other wise it's a slow front wheel drive so wtf are you talking about

The 4g63T of a long lost galant continues on in my L300 van, great build wish I could give this more than one thumbs up
I am running ebay timing gears and fuel regulator (10 years old now)...666hp mustang dyno ...bws364... now upgraded 72mm.,,flex fuel...Buschur cams....SB clutch.....breaking in clutch right now as the ACT 2600 could not hold the new power.
Damn I love this Galant VR4. Nice build. Props to the car owner!!
dudes going to the wrong car shows.. I would be drooling If I saw this especially with the hood open. sick car!
Waldo was grabbing the invisible handbrake there 😂😂😂😂
Badass build and very humble guy, keep up the great work and Mitsubishi's alive.
I miss my GVR-4. Such a fun car in the snow.
its insane to see this car and my father is a lucky person to own one of this car to.
This video was a step up production wise boys the music, the editing, superb
This is "Colorado Cool" No bullshit, No F*cking around.. yup!
One of my all time favorite cars cant wait to find another one once my kids get out of school
This “junk car” is a grandpa EvO & starts out at $4000 non running that’s how rare they are
Literally was looking at buying 1 for 900 bucks no engine on craigslist also there are some going between 1200 and 2k no sure where you are looking at.
@@JzLyfe you mean on Craigslist you can find bare shells going for $1.2 $2k
@@connoisseuroftigolbitts nope not bare shells I can send you the link in texas. Full interior torn seats, cracked interior pieces, stock wheels, needs paint of course rusted parts etc. But none of these that I was looking at are bare shells all missing engines that's it.
@@JzLyfe that’s exactly what I mean a decent rolling shell will cost much more then $2k
These cars aren’t cheap especially an original VR4 MODEL;
The GSX models aren’t even worth $2k
But they really are junk. Lol Amazing super fun cars, with huge potential. I had one for over 2 years constantly working on it fixing things, just to have something else break a week later. I eventually gave up and bought a 100,000 mile BMW because I wanted something nice and reliable.
I have ALWAYS wanted a GVR4...The closest I got was a 1990 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD with a built 4G63t, but I bought it stock, modified it, built the bottom end, installed some HKS 272 cams, some dual valve springs with titanium retainers, a FP Green turbo, a 2g exhaust manifold, a 2g 609 MAF, some HKS cam gears that I luckily found, a sheetmetal intake manifold, a full 3" downpipe and cat-less exhaust to dual mufflers, a yellow clutch that I can't remember the name of, and with a set of 1000cc Deka injectors it made 418 awhp. My buddy has a fully built and sleeved 1990 Eclipse GSX in San Diego, CA that makes 534 awhp and it's SCARY. I also had a 1992 Plymouth Colt hatch that I swapped in a 4g61t at first with 4g63t external parts and it hauled ass, but I eventually got another built 4g63t and I swapped it in and it felt SO good with a MHI 18c turbo from a diesel, and it put down 448 whp to both front wheels and had NO problem eating C6 Corvettes from a dig. I really miss that car. My grandfather left it to me and it was stock with the 93 HP 4g15 12 valve and a 4 speed manual. I sold all of my Mitsubishis and I would give almost anything to have my Colt back. It was my grandfather's last car before he passed. It was a 1992 Plymouth Colt hatch and while I had painted it Subaru WRX STi Java Black Pearl, it was originally red with a 12v 4g15 and a 4 speed manual.
Old school vr4 never gets old👌💯

Cracking car i have never seen a vr4 same as this here in the UK quite a few v6 ones but this is a weapon
There was one of this in Puerto Rico back in the early 2000's, HP was unknown but it did high 9 seconds.
Sweet, Galant VR4 was product for two year. In 1991 they was 2000 in White and metallic black only. I believe they 1000 in 1992, but not sure. My brother use to have a 1991 black, I loved that car. Great to see yours 👍👍 love it.
91's were also available in Belize green, In 92 they introduced Kensington Gray.
