      A random question but does anyone have Lyme Disease? Aka B-cell complete take over! The sad part about this? Is that I JUST found out I have thus by reading my medical records?? I don't know about the rest of you but, something about this ABSOLUTELY doesn't sit right within my soul.

      my blood was so thick n it would take over more than n hour to get a bag of blood out of me. which i had to do every 2 weeks but a nurse told me to take 4 baby aspirin before i come in that day. wholla 15 minutes later i would be finished. so i would just take 3 aspirin then 2 and none after 5 months n it worked to get it out n thin it better

      My RBC count is "slightly" elevated. The parameters as set by Life Labs is 4.00-5.10. My result was 5.29. Again, slightly elevated, but also my Hematocrit is slightly elevated too. The parameters is 0.350-0.450 and mine was 0.473. Hemoglobin is fine. I'm told that I could have been dehydrated the day I had blood testing done. Again, the elevations I've mentioned are very slight & I will be meeting with my Dr. to discuss the matter. When I received the results, I checked with her office & was told not to worry, the elevations are very minor & could be caused by just about anything. For PV all blood cells are affected...red,white & platelets.

    • @gailaspinall1688
      @gailaspinall1688 6 месяцев назад

      You stated that multiple things need to be off like hematocrit and hemoglobin. If that person's RBC count is high, & he has a normal hemoglobin count, but a slightly elevated hematocrit, I wouldn't think that qualifies as having the "diseasse". Now we've mentioned the RBC count as being high. Just how high is high. A slight elevation hardly qualifies.

So I started taking oxalate foods until my hemoglobin was back down to normal at 16 g/dl's Strawberries are good oxalated, but so is rhubarb, but I thought rhubarb was too much Oxalate, so I stuck with strawberries. • @gailaspinall1688
      @gailaspinall1688 6 месяцев назад

      All the blood cells are affected with PV, particulary the red cells. If your white blood cells are fine, & your platelets are fine, it's doubtful you have PV. Hematocrit may be slightly elevated but if you haven't drank enough water that day, it could mean slight dehydration which would elevate the hematocrit.

It seems like sometimes they overlap a bit and HCT and HgB levels can be within universally accepted normal ranges but high for an MPN. For example, a JAK 2+ male patent with HgB of 15.8 and HCT of 49 and platelets stable at 450,000. How to distinguish between ET and PV?

      @@johndobb8239 No I am diagnosed with JAK2 ET but now have a new hematologist oncologist who says that my HCT and HgB and RBC levels, while always in the normal range, are too high and that means that I have PV, not ET despite stable high platelets my whole life at 450,000. Sorry if it was a mouthful. I have seen videos now that suggest relooking the diagnosis criteria. But nothing firm that would put me in the PV box. And my doc wont do phlebotomies -- only HU which I have not started and dont really wish to.
