I have secondary polycythemia from sleep apnea. I wear a Cpap at night and have to have frequent phlebotomies to keep my hematocrits and hemoglobin levels down.

What about when there is a low normal of EPO and 96-97% oxygen saturation in unknow polycythemia in a child? JAK2 negative but at mild high altitude under 6,000ft above sea level? Can EPO be normal in secondary polycythemia if oxygen is 96-97%? Or will EPO always be high no matter what in secondary?
