So that's probably why you view him more harsh. You pretty much confirmed it yourself. You view him differently with a beard.

I first saw Jeselnik live about 3 or 4 years ago when he was touring with Amy Schumer, Nikki Glaser, and Aziz Ansari (awesome show!). I think most of us had never heard of him, so we were unprepared. He opened with his joke about finding out a bunch of sex offenders lived in his area . . . About half the audience were in shock when he hit us with the punchline, while the other half laughed like hell. :-)
