Im going to point out the word "Nigga" because that's the reason why it's a limited diverse genre to begin with. Only black people And I guess latinos can say it and it's thrown constantly in today's hip-hop . When ppl think of rap they don't immediately think of Eminem unless they're huge fan of him, they think about a black rapper who can use that word. And this is the one of the genres that uses the word too often . That's one of the reason why it's hard for non black ppl to make it in main stream rap/hiphop because it takes twice the work to not sound like a racist or a wannabe black gangsta.
@@Llllll5432 The word nigga literally is never thought of ever when you think of a good rapper. You just want a reason to say the word that's it. It has nothing to do with hip-hop culture just something we say to each other that can be an inviting phrase or a sign of disrespect. But NEVER as a sign of a good rapper . Word doesn't even mean anything it's the context and meaning behind it when used . In other words if you (I'm assuming a white male) want to say nigga say it long as it's not being used as a slur who cares, but dont make it seem as that it's some great or holy phrase .
You cant group all white rappers together, and its usually for different reasons. As far as i can tell, nobody ever disliked a white rapper, solely for the fact that they are white. •Everybody loved Mac Miller, RIP •Bregoli aint a real rapper. •Lil Xan gets hate cause hes a terrible rapper. (Yes he's mexican, but often gets associated with being white) •I dont think anybody hates G Eazy, as far as i know •I love Yelawolf, but he caught hate cause of the confederate flag stuff •MGK caught hate for dissing "everybody's favoritest rapper ever" •Iggy caught hate cause she had a fake accent, didnt write all her own music, and was dissing legends, and ignorant to current events •Post Malone caught hate for speaking down on HipHop, and trying to use rapper imagery and swag without being "called a rapper" •Slim Jesus caught hate for blatantly making music about a life he didnt live and also said "he doesnt do that street stuff cause hes not stupid" •Macklemore respects the culture but caught some hate for his stance on being "pro gay in HipHop" •V-Nasty caught hate for her use of saying "nigga," which everybody is always divided over •Logic isnt white and is not a poser, but looks white, and gets hate for "appearing to try to be black," as well as for being "mr. peaceful positive" •Action Bronson gets respected as a real Emcee, but he caught hate for dissing Ghostface •Stitches got hate for being a clout chasing fake gangster who lied about his past as a suburban kid who was son of a police chief •Riff Raff... i dont even know what to say about riff raff 😂 •Lil Dickey doesnt get taken seriously because he's basically just blatantly acting out a role
Eric Manget thats what it may look like if you not paying that much attention, but people dont hate Eminem "just because he's white." Its usually deeper than that. But he gets just as much respect as he gets hate. He has such a long history and track record, youd have to break down the different reasons people like or dislike him.
Meezus West thats a fair criticism lol, but wouldnt call that "hate." I never seen anybody have a reason to go around saying "fuck G Eazy" except for maybe MGK. If he can get on a Raekwon The Chef track, then he must have some sort of credibility.
DICK LONG well when i said credibility i was really speaking personally, from a HipHop perspective. A cosign or track with Raekwon means somethin in my book, but yeah, i wouldnt expect the kids to respect that, or even know who df Raekwon is.
Bottom line im getting is that that the rap community self regulates so newcomers need to pay their dues, be respectful, and recognize those that contributed and recognize where you came from in an honest way
@@larrywayne8427 exactly, when black people do it then it's a problem but when white rappers do it suddenly it's "cool", "bettering the genre" or it's "less violent and vulgar" literally taking advantage of genres for it's profitability by utilizing the privilege of being a white artist
I think Eminem is usually regarded as "the best white rapper" for several reasons. Personally, I hold him in such high regard for 2 reasons 1. He does things with the English language that are unique. In short, he is a wordsmith. I loved English and writing in school, it's something about him specifically that I've always noticed, admired, and envied. 2. His songs were, and still are relatable. I can't relate to Maybachs, Cristal, or Fendi. I can, unfortunately, relate to being broke, being trash, and being abused. Eminem spoke for a lot of people who had no voice, and he did it with a better grasp of the English language than any Ivy league professor.
Eminem getting to the heights where he did as a white rapper is honestly a miracle; no other white rapper has ever came close to him in that regards. Eminem's struggles could also speak for a lot of black youth; growing up poor, without a father, even being bullied for his race (as Eminem was a white guy growing up in a black neighborhood), those are things a LOT of black people can relate to. Hence the meme, "Eminem is the blackest white man."
@Doodle Bob Hes not a singer No Name: no singing Real: no singing Why: mostly rap And if you say that he's a singer then why dont you complain about Post Malone being labeled a rapper when he sings way more than he raps.
ayo its this thing called history and change and reflection and analysis of the past. he is giving an imformed reason or opinion about why white rappers are hated or ignored. There is a racial problem against white people in the rap industry he is telling us why. so shut the hell up and use your critical thinking to break down this video like anyone else above 7 years old.
I think less than 1% people care if a rapper is white or black, it's about talent. When I think talent these days I think Kendrick Lamar, Black Thought, J. Cole etc. Eminem's early stuff is some of the best but outside of that there isn't too much talent around these days in terms of white rappers at least not in the lyrical style I like.
God of Disco; ain’t much talent in mainstream rap, period. Especially young cats. But, the underground and semi-underground has some amazing young rappers.
God of Disco true like i am White and i am an aspiring R&B/hip hop/trap female singer. I am inspired by Kanye West,Beyonce,Rihanna the Weeknd Mariah Carey Ariana Grande(she ain’t black tho),Drake travis nicky Cardi...Y’all forgot 99% of current singers are inspired by Michael jackson? Is that cultural appropriation now? Grow the fuck up
There's a reason why NF doesn't get a lot of credit, dude is trash. He just sounds like a watered down Recovery-era Eminem (Eminem at almost his absolute worst), but with Jesus thrown into it.
mistahmst That’s just an opinion honestly, if he’s a trash rapper then he wouldn’t be on that top chart during that time frame just saying 🤷🏻♂️ but overall for me in my books he’s a great artist/rapper.
I respect Lil Dicky for wanted to expand his horizons. Donald Glover started off as an actor, and now Childish Gambino is considered one of the greatest rappers. It’s not a race thing. Music is objective
White people are the ones not letting mixed kids also be white. If you are the slightest bit non white it's like you're tainted, not true white. It's white people's fault. Not all white people... just some don't get offended snowflake.

I feel that even though this video touches up on some points, one of the major issues that black/brown folks have regarding white rappers is not the white rappers themselves, but the audience that follows them as some sort of redeeming icon which in turn catapults their careers faster than black/brown artists. It's the Elvis Effect. It's what white rappers symbolize to the primary white audience and how they're elevated faster than black/brown artists simply due to their whiteness. That's a key component to why people are iffy of white artists, because of their white audience and how they'll protect them by any means.

@Der Analysierer Only thing that makes someone real is when they take it seriously, practiced and worked enough to become very skillful, and don't lie in their lyrics. Also though when someone talks about guns and drugs in their songs, even if they grew up in that it's always lame and fake as fuck when they rap about those things like they're cool, no matter where you grew up if you do that you're just trying to get money instead of make anything better. Fuck anyone that has a chance to speak to millions and uses it to act all proud of themselves for drinking cough syrup and taking opiates.
@Der Analysierer I agree wth that, i just get tired of people actively causing more drug use. The opiate epidemic is at an all-time high. songs say "molly percocet" and "sippin on lean" almost every other track. That is not coincidence
Okay okay it's not that we hate white rappers it's the fact of us knowing is this really them or is it a catch was you really from the hood ?then I can understand like Machine Gun Kelly is really from the hood so I can understand he was raised around that all his life that's what he is cool Eminem came up in it both actually prove that their lyrically sound in a battle now even Mac Miller rest in peace he gets the okay because him as well and Pittsburgh that's what he was around his whole team and he's been rapping since he was like four that's proven fact he has recordings of himself dressed up like Run-DMC rhyming at 4 years old which kind of reminds me that all those rappers that I mentioned is like b-rad from Malibu's Most Wanted
Theres more to it then Talent. You need marketing ability, personality, energy, relatability with fans, persona and confidence. Many white rappers come off fake and trying to look cool. People arent dumb and can smell fakeness.
@Shadow Play in the Woods eminem is an insane rapper who has all the right to call himself the greatest but that doesn't mean others don't have that skill.
Shadow Play in the Woods Eminem is overrated. He is the goat for white ppl but he don’t get no play in black neighborhoods. We have him respect because he got skills but his voice the reach our children. Rapping about killing your mom, *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, chain saws, and Mariah Carey doesn’t really hold weight in the black community. Em is great tho, but shid he barely top 10 if 15. First 3 albums excellent, after that naw
@@brickmoney4152 not really the case either, that he doesn't get played in black neighbourhoods speaks for itself. He isn't irrelevant after his first three either, take Big Weenie and Puke away from encore and add When I'm Gone and Shake That and Encore would be just as good as the first three. The Re-up and 8 Mile also got amazing performances from Eminem and 50 Cent. Relapse is just insane and my favourite, Recovery's sales and impact went through the roof. Em has an amazing collection of unrealised songs and disstracks like Difficult he made for Proof. The MMLP2 was even called Eminem's great comeback to the scene. Revival got bad reviews but is the only album with a lotta songs I'm actually allowed to play in the care when my little sister is in like River, Tragic Endings, Nowhere Fast, Bad Husband and In Your Head (there other ones that are good) and Kamikaze has amazing songs too and even my favourite of the year Lucky You. Post Malone is one of the most overated artists of the moment, I actually don't like most of his music (and neither his tattoos) but I actually like and respect the dude, he's probably the most chill, humble and down to earth artist compared with Niki Minaj, Cardib, Drake, Migos, Lil Pump, Tekashi 6ix9ine, etc.
Aesop Rock, Eyedea, Slug and El-P are all underrated but well respected. Why? Cuz they don't do cultural appropriation and they go super hard lyrically
Eminem earned his respect and never viewed him being white as an issue in a place that he always knew was important to those who live in a cruel world. No matter what, Eminem was and is still the standard for white rappers; alot of people will say race shouldn't matter yet Eminem never needed to say things like that bc he knew the talent he possessed to gain respect like everyone else not get handed it for pity. Some of yall have yet to learn that.

I live in the country, I listen to both rap and country music, people around here like old town road. The thing is, it’s not really a country song if we being honest, it’s trap. I don’t have a problem with it being called country or being on the country billboard though and no one else I know did either, just the billboard people for whatever reason. Nobody at all that I know was saying something like “this isn’t country, we don’t want him here”. It’s just music, but ig maybe there are some people out there but I haven’t met anyone who felt this way. And if anybody made it about his race they’re just racists but I haven’t seen people taking it that far. That being said I don’t think white rappers are hated because they’re white, I think a lot of them just happen to make bad music and happen to be white. The good white rappers (Em, mac, NF) aren’t hated because they’re actually good. But bad rappers like Russ, g eazy, and Macklemore are hated because they make bad music, but happen to be white. There are good and bad white rappers and good and bad rappers of other races, let’s just judge the music for what it is, not how the person who made it looks
Idk I think there’s a bit of racism in it too I’ll see a white kid that’s really into rap and even when they respect it I still get cringe and just don’t want to accept them and I’m starting to wonder maybe it is just because they’re white cause why else would I still think they don’t belong
Eminem, Post, and Malcom are accepted because they have the talent, and the flow. Even though Malone doesn’t want to be defined as a rapper lol Edit: WHERE THE HECK IS NF I JUST REALIZED HE ISNT HERE HES ONE OF THE BEST WHITE RAPPERS
Probably the best rn too but no everyone just wants songs about sex, women as sex objects, being rich, being famous, and just being self centered pricks.
It's weird to me that everytime white rappers are mentioned they always talk eminem and the basic mainstream white rappers. But never mention Necro, Ill Bill, RA The Rugged Man, Vinnie Paz, Slug from atmosphere, Aesop Rock, EL-P, Cage etc etc. All white rappers from the underground that made a career for themselfs without any help of big labels.
The independent/underground scene is full of whites (and hispanics) who are considered legends in the game. A lot of them were rocking shit way before Eminem was rolling with Dre. R.A. The Rugged Man was endorsed by the Biggie himself in the early days of his career.
Yep and Everlast was with Ice-T. If those guys had broken down the door though Em wouldn't have had such a hard time breaking into the game. Ice-T was talking about white kids throwing trash at Em when performing and Black ppl heckled him too. We all know the stories.
Hip Hop is based on respect and talent. A lot of rappers nowadays, especially white rappers don't have the talent or the smarts so they don't get said respect. That's why there are so few white rappers who get noticed or taken seriously. Because only a few white people actually take rap seriously while simultaneously respecting black culture. Unfortunately, corny white rappers like Asher Roth, T Mills, Lil Dicky and Bhad Bhabie have fucked up the chances actual white rappers had. People like NF, nothing.nowhere, Gawne, Token, Witt Lowry, Knox Hill, Sik World, Ekoh, Alyssa Marie, Blimes Brixton, Lady XO, Savy Rae, Wynne, Marlei Qwinn, Ashnikko and Qveen Herby are actually really good, but no one gives them a chance to shine because people either are tired of seeing white people and thus never check them out, or people think that their going to be corny and never take time to actually listen to them. Eminem is the example that a lot of white guys follow and I also think that's why people don't like them because they see any white rapper as a copycat of Em.

Eric Manget thats what it may look like if you not paying that much attention, but people dont hate Eminem "just because he's white." Its usually deeper than that.

I think Eminem is usually regarded as "the best white rapper" for several reasons. Personally, I hold him in such high regard for 2 reasons

Some of yall have yet to learn that.
Funny thing is, when nicki made this statement it was after NF’s album beat out hers two year in a row
You sound dumb she didn’t even have a album out at the time and her last album when she made that comment was 2014 which went number 1... stop.
Not even fun. nicci a cornball and a sore loser

I dont think they're hated, its more like what the country folk felt about Lil Nas...
True
Lmao bruh nah
That’s the sharpest and most concise explanation of what’s going on here.
😂
“Respect it as a culture instead of a overnight business plan.” Well said.
Idk I think there’s a bit of racism in it too I’ll see a white kid that’s really into rap and even when they respect it I still get cringe and just don’t want to accept them and I’m starting to wonder maybe it is just because they’re white cause why else would I still think they don’t belong
Mac Miller is an underated legend
neel joshi hahahhahahahha nah
Mac Miller was garbage. Sucks he died but I stand my ground on that.
Knock About why do you feel like he was garbage?
neel joshi he was amazing but certainly not underrated. He didn’t get a crazy amount of hate.
Knock About definitely gtfo with that shit
Post malone not even a rapper to me more likely a singer

Eminem, Post, and Malcom are accepted because they have the talent, and the flow.
Even though Malone doesn’t want to be defined as a rapper lol

Probably the best rn too but no everyone just wants songs about sex, women as sex objects, being rich, being famous, and just being self centered pricks.
*Paul Wall was dope and always underrated*
For sure, Paul Wall is a legend in Texas 👍🔥
People dont know the history so they just go with the most popular.
@@lololee24 Okay Stan.

I don't understand why young people continue to fight their grandparents battles throughout history.
🤷♂️
Because our grandparents are the reason why we are in America. It was only 200 years ago one great grandparents could of been a slave.
1000 Subscribers With No Videos lol your statement is irrelevant to the ones who did and that what black people referred to as privilege I thought you would have known this lmao smh 🤦🏾♂️
Only 200 years i get it it was terrible but it is history only 200 years becomes only 300 years amd only 400 years until were all stuck fighting a never ending war it has to end eventually white people will be the minority in america by 2042 so we'll see how they're treated then and i bet it aint good and you know it so its kind of point less to continue this fighting between us
Corey Reeves yeah and now you sound like it the waiting game we should just wait for time to pass no it like a dying love one we will never forget. As I said you can’t understand it my Dad was apart of segregation and he now 60 so to say move on is a joke just as bad as someone killing my grandma a saying she was 90 years old so her dying happen get over it.
