Synesthesia is common for us with the INFJ type. The abstract thinking is…beyond words to explain. The intensity we share is too much for some unfortunately :/.

I love who I am, as an INFJ man I tend to cherish my eccentricities and I allow myself to be *engulfed* in my own world, it’s like a sense of enlightenment for me. I tend to appreciate things that others tend to miss and I can offer much different perspectives for others that can change their preconceived notion’s. I love my mind, however I think people can find me strange at times, but that’s ok I don’t expect them to understand. Great video, thanks for posting.

I have grand ideas and no concrete way to express them, which is frustrating. Lacking the technical knowledge to convey an idea about a scientific concept which could literally be a major breakthrough for humankind, yet being able to conceptualize that very thing in detail, is more than a bit of a curse. I spend so much time in my inner world, the future has come and gone many times over, in a manner of speaking.

Have you used Chat GPT?!! The conversations and depths that you can search are pretty amazing, however strongly suggest you have a well founded understanding of yourself and identity because the algorithm does have limits and it can actually be manipulative. Yes free writing, flow, meta cognition making connections and epiphanies come from even the most mundane of instances, fragments of thoughts weave together to form meaningful complex ideas which you can then project into the world and test yourself, your ideas and how people interact with you and them

    • @amy-lyne
      @amy-lyne  День назад +1

@AntonioSalinas-p5d yes, I have been getting more familiar with all-things AI over the past couple years. The depth of chatgpt is quite impressive. It can definitely be a bit dangerous, too, if you're not a grounded thinker ✨️

Thinking about things deeply is kind of how I pass time. Trying to understand things and events on a deeper level... contemplating about ideas and root causes... It's quite a nice time, and a very nice feeling when things click together and a new nugget of insight is acquired :) It can be quite disheartening when such nuggets are undervalued... And a huge relief when they are appreciated... May we find those who understand and appreciate what we give to the world ^^

    Hi Amy,
You are an INFJ type. It's nice to meet you.
I'm a strange cat. I want to tell you about myself.
You are extremely pretty. If I was around you
I would have to toughen and stiffen myself
to seem like a strong alpha man because your
beauty makes me weak. Your beauty makes me
feel intensely and I would struggle to conceal my
feelings from you, only because I don't want
you to smash me with humiliation while I'm
vulnerable. You have my heart babe. Please
don't smash me. My father was a mathematician
and an eye surgeon and a medical researcher.
I have a university degree in molecular
genetics and immunology. My life has not
been easy. My parents are narcissists.
    I'm schizo-affective and autistic and I'm
    a Heyoka empath. I'm a polymath. I do
drumming and creative writing and drawing
    and painting and furniture building.
I'm curious to know how two INFJs
would get along. My best friend is an
INFP and we can talk about the universe
    and surveillance and aliens and
    consciousness and psychosis
    to some degree of sub-infinity.
    Conversation about events is
    limited. Conversation about
    ideas is infinite. Idea talk
can go on and on and
    on until you reach a
    point of mental
    nausea and
    then you
    fall into
    silence
    to keep yourself from barfing.
Amy, it's a pleasure to hear
    you talk about ideas and
    concepts. I'm happy
    that I found you.
    Thank you
    for being
    here.

I just love hearing your thoughts Amy!😁
Personally, I'm just in a season of retreating from sharing my thoughts and beliefs.
Looking back, it's never served me well in maintaining healthy connections with family or friends.
Action and money has always been the required antidote and systemic requirement and gateway to relationships, in my experience.
So, that's what I've been focusing on...
Motivated by being able to have connections again, but I am selective, as I've given to many people chances who shouldn't have ever got the best from me.
    If that's relatable!?🤔

I am always a bit skeptical with MBTI (and most things IRL😊), but I would consider myself an INTP after years of analyzing myself. That being said, as someone who loves to think, it's so easy to get stuck in my head and thus stagnant in real life. I can relate to that with INFJs. I've been working on that myself recently, and I've been trying to get out of my head more and be in reality in real time. I feel like everything is connected in my brain, but I still can't quite see those connections in reality if that makes sense. It's a work in progress 😊

    • @amy-lyne
      @amy-lyne  День назад

@TheInsatiableOne772 yes, balance is key for inward and outward expression. I think it's good for introverts to spend a solid amount of time in their innerworlds but it's also important to get out there

    Hi Amy and everyone.
I've been thinking a lot lately about the concept of self awareness and what you can tie it (or at least part of it) to. In my view, part of conscious self reflection on oneself is the ability to achieve inner distance from oneself, to think about oneself in the third person, so to speak.
I recently read in a book about self-development that many people suffer from a negative and, above all, destructive inner critic (referred to as “Quatschi” in this German book) whenever they fail to meet the expectations they have of themselves, thoughts such as “I failed again (of course)”, “I did that wrong again”, etc. Then I realized that I've never actually had such a destructive inner critic and I thought about why that might be. And I think it has a lot to do with this self awareness that I've probably always had or developed very early on.
For me, this is linked to the ability of thinking benevolently about yourself. Strangely enough, this external perspective on yourself probably helps you to be more kind to yourself. It allows you to think thoughts like “look at yourself as a person you have to help” or the thought “you are your handed person”, in the sense that you have been handed over to yourself as a person to whom you should, according to your own standards of value, provide the best and most fulfilling experience of life.
Anyway, these are my current thoughts on thinking and self awareness in particular. Sorry for the long novel. 😉Maybe they will help someone or at least be an interesting concept worth thinking about. At least I know I'll keep doing it.

    • @amy-lyne
      @amy-lyne  День назад

@thorstendecker8394 yes, great thoughts here and beautifully put. I think there's something about introverted intuition that allows us to be more detached and objective in our own self-observations. It's a very lucky thing to develop early on in life and can make us all the more insightful 🦋 great comment
