@@younclebear There was multiple issues I had with my setup. The most glaring one was enabling XMP with 4 sticks on ram, from two difference manufacters, with two different advertised speed. This is a gaming PC, and so the 64gb was overkill. I took out 32gb and left my Corsair Vengence 32gb 3600mhz in there. XMP worked find and the system booted. I assume the different clock speeds for memory had a huge part in why my setup wouldnt work... unless XMP automatically throttles the memory OC down to the lowest rated memory. The issue for me now is my CPU is running pretty hot with the OC. 67c-73c idle which isn't the end of the world, but when I play games maxed out it is hitting 95c constant and throttling. I have the wraith stock cooler that came with it and I probably need to re-do my thermal paste. Both those factors are probably why the temps are so damn high when gaming. I have an x-570 chipset and am also getting "system product name". This step in the process is just confirming the chipset of your motherboard, which you may be able to discover by going over to your search bar, typing in "system information" and opening up that window. From there, you're looking for the line that says "BaseBoard Product", that should be the name of your motherboard. Go to your search engine, type the name of your motherboard followed by "chipset" and see if you can find further information regarding the chipset of your board. Worst case, you can always try to restart into your BiOS and your motherboard info should also be listed in there either on the homescreen of the BiOS menu or in one of the information sub-menus. Of course, if you still have the box your motherboard came in when you first bought it, it'll say right there on the front, as well lol "x570" or "B550", etc. edit: downloading CPU-ID will also list this info under the section titled "Mainboard" chipset/southbridge
I've seen the driver updates from Windows Update cause problems more times than not. Especially GPU drivers. I make it a point to disable driver updates via the group policy... if you have Windows 10 Pro.

Someone explain or enlighten me please. I don't understand overclocking, at least on Ryzen cpu's. What I mean is, why do a manual overclock. For me at least, as long as I keep PBO in auto, it will boost my clocks whenever I play games. I have monitored it with AMD's software and it stays at nearly max boost clock speeds when I game. So it boosts it automatically. I don't really need to do a manual boost. Am I missing something?
PBO is much easier to be sure. But IF you know what you're doing, you can get more out of the CPU by manually overclocking. But these days, it's hard to beat PBO. ONLY really good tuners are able to do it. But everyone wants to try...

I bought a noctua and some new thermal paste and will hopefully conclude my computer upgrades for the near future.
BIOS SETTING = HPET DISABLE, CPPC & CPPC pref core (Enable if FPS gamer, Disable if Streaming, Multitasking, Uses Virtualization, Heavy multitasking), AMD Cool & Quiet (Enable for Laptop or Desktop Stock Cooler) or (Disable for Desktop user w/ good Cooler "it reduces Core clock to lower temp enable means no downclocking and more heat"), Speed Spectrum (Disable), Bus Clock 100Mhz-102Mhz (Depends on MOBO Quality), PBO (Disable for laptop, Manual or Set to MOBO "increases heat by increasing boost"), CLDO VDDP, VDDG IOD & CCD (For Infinity Fabric Manual tuning over 3800mhz in zen 3, 3600mhz in zen2+), CSM disable, Global C-state= Enable for Laptop user, Optional for Desktop user "Makes Core goes idle or sleep if unused which reduce temp and increase active core boost" (Disable = better I/O response or fixes USB issue, Fixes game stuttering due to core fluctuation but increases heat on lower core usage), SVM = Disable if system not used as VM can increase gaming latency. SOC Voltage Stabilize VDDP,VDDG & IOD, higher ram frequency, tighter timings, CPU Vcore offset (for ryzen 2000,3000 & 4000), Curver Optimizer (ryzen 5000-7000)
Can we please see actual footage of performance gains? All of these optimisation videos and not a single clip where we see real life performance gains??? Just saying
hey panjno , on the first step where u find ur system model it says "system product name " please can u help me . I've watched most of ur videos and now my pc gets good fps but i would like to push it a bit further with this vid
having the same issue, no clue why
@@younclebear LEGEND thanks bro
I've seen the driver updates from Windows Update cause problems more times than not. Especially GPU drivers. I make it a point to disable driver updates via the group policy... if you have Windows 10 Pro.
"15 simple steps to make your ryzen processor perform almost like an intel one does out of the box"
Hello, how do you have the CPU Core Voltage in bios? Automatic or AMD Overclocking with your value?
I Have Ryzen 3 3100 stock cooler what setting last part you did when you went to advance you recommend I set to thank you
Hi panjno, if I already installed chipset but are already old versions and I want to install the latest chipsets, how do I go about safely uninstalling them? Revo uninstaller? Yes, I want to reinstall them to latest version.
Been watching your vids and taking your advice from them for at least year or so now. Love your vids you actually have advice that seems to work for me and not just a click bait youtube like a lot of guys thanks you for you time and effort Merry Christmas to you and yours buddy 🎄✌️🤘
When it comes to BIOS I just cant bring myself change anything, it's because os some past experience
fair enough, like mentioned in this video the BIOS stuff is what to RESEARCH for your system, even then its only recommended for those who are comfortable
it can be GREAT for Ryzen but its understandable why many dont bother with it :)
Anything related to the BIOS/UEFI is an advanced setting, only do it if you feel comfortable with it.
Does all of these tips apply to ryzen 7 7700??
I allways down my CPU usage into 98%, so it leaves a bit of air for windows and other thingies in the back ground.
You dont really need it to be 100%, i rather it lasts me longer time.
I’m on windows 10 so is the bios updates useless? Since I’m not on windows 11
Fantastic hack! I did everything you showed here and it worked! Thanks a lot!
The high performance power plan isn't showing up for me. I've tried looking up solutions, but none of them work. Any tips?
Very useful thanks
is bitsum better than ultimate performance power plan?
why dose it say by me, System Model: system product Name?
Why is it better to use the newest chipset drivers from amd directly vs the motherboard support page?
Panjno, would you be able to look at a game called "*GENERATION ZERO*". The community is suffering random crashes and nobody has found a fix or cause. Steam still has this game for sale even with numerous reports of CTD.
Is it possible that such tweak cause instability and freeze without bsod ? That's my issue with ryzen 5 5600h laptop with rtx 3060 16gb ram
yesterday i got the micro stutters, and i updated my bios to the latest MSI has for my B550 Tomahawk Board, which is shipped with AGESA 1.2.0.C after the bios updated, the stutters is gone but my fps is low.
On valorant the fps before updating bios was 400-550 in competitive game
now after the bios update it barely reach 400 and even can drop to 150
whats wrong?
My system is
B550 Tomahawk
Ryzen 7 5700x
16 Gigs 3600Mhz RAM
Seasonic Focus 650W 80+ Gold
I've been wandering the internet since yesterday, haven't found the answer :(
Will it work for laptops too?
should i enable my precision boost overdrive?
Mines didn't show product name for my Motherboard. It just said "System Product Name" in that spot
I have the same problem
Hi Panjno would you consider do an optimization for VR headsets? Thanks for your work.
Those are all basic things than any Ryzen owner should know. Keep up the good work!
doesnt amd adrenaline software install your chipset driver?
Hello! I have an AMD ryzen 5 3600 and the motherboard Im using had a BIOS that looked identical to the one you displayed. But I’ve looked through all the settings and can’t find the curve optimizer setting? Is there something I need to do to ensure this shows up in my BIOS settings? Thank you for the video!
Your doing hpet the wrong way you need to do it from bios settings
nice, just watched a video that had nothing to do with asus motherboards, " Just go and find those options to change "
great! what can i say
Would this work with Athlon cores?
i am only getting 3% cpu usage in games is this bad or good my gpu is at 80%
how to optimize cpu & gpu for productivity works for softwares like 3ds max, maya, autocad, photoshop, after effects etc?
it'd be the same thing lol, cpu optimizing isn't strictly for gaming it benefits performance across the board
@@randominternetuser72 okay but what about gpu then?
@@akashsarkar1989 debloat driver with nvcleanstall and ddu
you did not include basic amd bios optimization such as : disabling c states and cppc and cppc preferred core and activating above 4g decoding and much more
Could you elaborate more? More settings :)
as a brotherman who is using an r 5 2600x, thank you so much. i wanted a better idea on what to do, but i never really had much beyond ryzen master.
