Hi Panjno, I've been trying to work ot where I can find the High Peformance or Ultimate Peformance Settings in the Power Plan. I've tried to Create a New Power Plan but again, it only shows Balanced. I have a very bad cpu(amd fx 4100) and GPU (rx550) I used to play valorant on a good 60 fps but I started getting screentear and when i play with vsync it still gets choppy when I move my mouse near edges in the map and what worse it I'm getting like sudden drops to 20-30 I just dont know what to do When enemies suddenly peek me I get a stutter and always die Please help me guys valorant used to be the only game I can play without hurting my eyes and now even it's getting frustrating to play.
I have something to add, in Radeon Control Panel, Tessellation Mode, set it to Application Controlled, as the Radeon Driver can use a different Tessellation method that can be more accurate, but heavier in return, this setting can alleviate most Stutters in heavy Tessellation games and even some Unreal Engine 4 (Vampyr for example, this setting eliminated all Stutter that I once had). I do this since last year and it helps a lot!

I would not be messing with the Registry to tweak a card, but if you do follow this tutorial, please back up the Registry before you change anything and create a System Restore point.

WOW! In PUGB, with my 5700 XT the constantly changing 75 - 100 % clocx/usage use of the gpu is now GONE!! :-D Constant 100 - 99 % Clocx now all the time.. Thank u very much Panjno!!!

I've been looking for something more than the basic BS that I've found about the "We detected a driver timeout has occourred on your system" error I've been getting from the AMD Bug Report Tool ever since doing a clean installation of Windows 11 Pro. I turn off the notification, but the video still cuts out periodically, sometimes frequently, as the driver and softwaregoes through the repeated process of crashing and resterting. I tried the minimal and driver only installations and the same crases still occoured. I've had to go all the way back to Adrenalin version 20.4.2, from May of 2020, to get it to quit crashing. I found that driver by letting Windows install its own driver, then searching for the AMD equivalent. It was pretty easy since the driver version is still provided by AMD and not a generic Microsoft version. I'm hoping this will help my problem. It's really not a huge deal to run the older version of Adrenelin, because I really don't do anything more intensive than watching 4K content, but I just like having the most current drivers. It's stupid and a bit obsessive, but it bugs me in the back of my mind if I don't fix it. 🤷♂🤣🤣🤣

hey youre the best man seriously. So i have this problem. And have come across no fix yet... tried everything there is to try that i have found after weeks and weeks of trying to fix this. youre my only hope i ....hope... I went to attempt to disassemble my pc to clean it. As it was getting dusty. When I put it back together and started it up. 8.1 gb of my 16gb is hardware reserved. No common fix has worked. Of my two dimm slots. Both my ram sticks boot in the first slot separately. And boots when both are in. But neither boot if in 2nd slot alone.. I've tried for weeks and still nothing. The ram sticks i have are yes different brands but very close in everything stat wise. they worked together for 2 months until i took pc apart and cleaned it. upon booting it up after done cleaning. 8.3 gb of my 16gb hardware reserved....my pc barely scrapes by to play warzone.... this issue has just gimped me further... please if youknow anything ... id be forever grateful... i always watch your videos man youre the best for real... Asusrock a320m-hdv r4.0 Cpu ryzen 5 1500 Gpu: amd Radeon rx 560 2gb (but it's the shit one amd pwned off as rx 560s but pretty much are rx 460s) Windows and bios both recognize that there's 16gb. But 7.93 and 8.1 hardware reserved. They are two different brands of ram but match closely in their timings and everything. ADATA 8GB and viper patriot 8gb And they both worked together before I had taken it apart to clean it and put it back together with no issues. Both the RAM sticks separately work and boot when in the first slot. And the boots up when they're both in together. But the hardware reserved issue regardless of which one is in the first slot. But neither one of them separately work to boot up in the second slot. There's no apparent damage to either of the slots or cards even memtest86 recognizes both of them when they're in slot but says there's only 8 GB on main screen system info on memtest86. I have fresh installed Windows in Every Way they have from PC to system image file on USB. Quite a few times to no avail. I tried un checking Max memory in Ms config. Tried setting value of checkpagefileatshut down in regeditor. Tried booting with each stick solo one following the other then trying them both. Run sfc scan memdiagnostics etc...nothing.

If for someone like me disabling ulps in afterburner causes shuttering then try to do it manually by opening regedit, search for "EnableUlps", set value to 0 (only this one with exact name, do NOT touch anything else like "EnableUlps_NA"!) and reboot.
Eeesh, yeah I Just picked up an all AMD laptop, and god damn its painful. Ryzen 7 5980, RX 6800M, 16GB DDR4. Now I remember why I stick with Intel/Nvidia. Its literally install and play, no tweaks needed to not crash

I got myself a new psu (Corsair rm750x 80+ gold), and so far, it looks like it stopped my fps drops and stuttering... My old PSU did have enough watts, but it was only a thermaltake 80+ bronze... Don't spare your money when buying a PSU... Get a good one
Does it stop it in all games? I’m using a 5900x and 6800xt and a 750w power supply but I still get wattage drops in dx11 games. I really think the issue is software related and you have a correlation not a causation. Glad it fixed it for you though
Bit double when showing first the minimal options (and kinda recommending it) and right after show AMD settings that mostly only Full Install have (like tuning)

so i did most of this and its great except now halo infinite makes my GPU grind (no other games does this Forza horizon runs fine) 6900XT on a samsung G9 monitor doesnt matter what settings I change it makes a grinding noise constantly soon as it hits the main menu
That is coil wine and it comes from to high of a fps in game menus and in older games. It usually manifests its self over 400,500fps cap the fps in game to 240fps or lower. Coil wine is normal and it wont damage your card.
This is normal, this is called coil whine. When you push a ton of wattage through a graphics card the power components make a little bit of noise. It goes away in a few months as you break in the card
Nothing but driver timeout after timeout crashes and reinstalls of latest amd driver.... Nothing fixed it.. Luckily i had uninstalled a software yesterday and created a restore point... The restore point seems to have saved my pc once more...
hello, do you have any advice for playing in 1440p (3440x1440) with a GPU with 4gb vram (details at a minimum)? it's a Mi8/Radeon R9 nano instict. I know very well that it could not be, but I do it anyway, I ask in case anyone knows about some software settings, BIOS or on the AMD panel or some setting / technology developed within the game settings (in addition to low details) to make the card go better in 1440, make the vram work better or try not to saturate.
I sent in a error report to AMD but not heard back anything. As soon as I installed the AMD software my sound drops out after 2 sec on some games, one game it will not play sound at all, youtube/firefox browser, etc......very annoying. I already wiped the old Nvidia drivers with DDU. Uninstalled sound works fine, reinstalled and it's back. Deleted first dload and re dloaded with same problems................Anyone have any suggestions?
If you install the minimal version of AMD, you can’t even optimize anything. thanks for wasting my time and having me uninstalling and installing drivers for the past hour.

there are cables that are nice and big that will actually do up to l;ike 350 watts but i barely see them i got one with my psu it has an 8 and a 6 pin plus another 2 pins to the side and i have had 0 issues running an overclocked 590
A lot of my games are getting black screens where the PC stays on and the sound stays on but the screen goes black and after restarting I'm met with "Radeon wattman settings have been restored". When I take away the amd software I still get the crash but no wattman message. I'm running a 6900xt, 5800x, tuf x570, EVGA 1000 watt psu. Windows 11 recently installed. Everything has been default no overclock. I have been using Ultimate performance power plan. I thought my problem was the monitor an LG 27gn950 4k 144hz. I haven't been able to thoroughly diagnose.
Your video is incorrect about the Cables to use, Modern powersupplies that have two, read: dual 8 pin ends on One PCIE cable ARE ACTUALLY capable of delivering the full wattage. However, using aftermarket splitters that split one pcie plug into two, does NOT allow enough power from the rails down the wire. Only Garbage Tier psu's are incapable of putting out correct wattage to the plugs it ships with.
Forcing options through the driver control panel doesn't work since forever. I can't seem to force any graphical options through the Radeon Software. I tried V-Sync, Morphological AA, MSAA, SSAA and AF but none of them seem to do anything.
My gpu just crashes after 5 mins into playing, and then goes to 1000 mhz to 100 every 10 seconds. I tried everything but it seems like it only does this when im playing games.

This means the game you're running is running as an administrator, any hotkeys you press that are used by Discord won't be registered while inside game Window as your system is focused on the game, to fix this, you need to always run Discord as an administrator as well, it'll start registering hotkeys after

everytime I use amd radeons software, it causes frame drops in every game. I rolled back the driver before and everything worked fine. Now i updated it, and its doing it again. When I roll it back now it just disconnects the graphics card and makes it unusable. Idk what to do

Put it to override and set it to 4x or 8x. Amd optimized makes games run like shit.
i play a lot of valorrant should i also set it to application controlled?

it fixed my problem with my rx 6500 XT in older games I suffer a lot of stutter but in newer games I have never suffer a problem
i dont have the tuning option in performance. is that because my gpu is too old?

ps ,... the minimal download driver on amd dont have the performacing section so if y want to change the performace you need to download normaly

why set system respnsivness to 1 and no 0? and why you have throttling at 10 should it be fffffff

so i did most of this and its great except now halo infinite makes my GPU grind (no other games does this Forza horizon runs fine) 6900XT on a samsung G9 monitor doesnt matter what settings I change it makes a grinding noise constantly soon as it hits the main menu

That is coil wine and it comes from to high of a fps in game menus and in older games. It usually manifests its self over 400,500fps cap the fps in game to 240fps or lower. Coil wine is normal and it wont damage your card.
This is normal, this is called coil whine. When you push a ton of wattage through a graphics card the power components make a little bit of noise. It goes away in a few months as you break in the card
Nothing but driver timeout after timeout crashes and reinstalls of latest amd driver.... Nothing fixed it.. Luckily i had uninstalled a software yesterday and created a restore point... The restore point seems to have saved my pc once more...

hello, do you have any advice for playing in 1440p (3440x1440) with a GPU with 4gb vram (details at a minimum)?
it's a Mi8/Radeon R9 nano instict. I know very well that it could not be, but I do it anyway, I ask in case anyone knows about some software settings, BIOS or on the AMD panel or some setting / technology developed within the game settings (in addition to low details) to make the card go better in 1440, make the vram work better or try not to saturate.
I sent in a error report to AMD but not heard back anything. As soon as I installed the AMD software my sound drops out after 2 sec on some games, one game it will not play sound at all, youtube/firefox browser, etc......very annoying. I already wiped the old Nvidia drivers with DDU. Uninstalled sound works fine, reinstalled and it's back. Deleted first dload and re dloaded with same problems................Anyone have any suggestions?
So the GPU will run at high frequency even if i write a word document or watch youtube?
If you install the minimal version of AMD, you can’t even optimize anything. thanks for wasting my time and having me uninstalling and installing drivers for the past hour.

there are cables that are nice and big that will actually do up to l;ike 350 watts but i barely see them i got one with my psu it has an 8 and a 6 pin plus another 2 pins to the side and i have had 0 issues running an overclocked 590
A lot of my games are getting black screens where the PC stays on and the sound stays on but the screen goes black and after restarting I'm met with "Radeon wattman settings have been restored". When I take away the amd software I still get the crash but no wattman message. I'm running a 6900xt, 5800x, tuf x570, EVGA 1000 watt psu. Windows 11 recently installed. Everything has been default no overclock. I have been using Ultimate performance power plan. I thought my problem was the monitor an LG 27gn950 4k 144hz. I haven't been able to thoroughly diagnose.

Your video is incorrect about the Cables to use, Modern powersupplies that have two, read: dual 8 pin ends on One PCIE cable ARE ACTUALLY capable of delivering the full wattage. However, using aftermarket splitters that split one pcie plug into two, does NOT allow enough power from the rails down the wire. Only Garbage Tier psu's are incapable of putting out correct wattage to the plugs it ships with.

Forcing options through the driver control panel doesn't work since forever. I can't seem to force any graphical options through the Radeon Software. I tried V-Sync, Morphological AA, MSAA, SSAA and AF but none of them seem to do anything.
My gpu just crashes after 5 mins into playing, and then goes to 1000 mhz to 100 every 10 seconds. I tried everything but it seems like it only does this when im playing games.

My AMD software doesn't have any options under performance tab. It just displays metrics.
Can u do a video for Intel HD Graphics gpu users ( I know you have already done one but can you make an more advanced guide) because there is so many integrated graphics users out there I love your Videos they are always helpful and I do notice a big fps increase by watching your videos!
I think the issue with integrated graphics is that they have very low dedicated hardware memory, no amount of software tweaks can change that.

Hi if anyone has a amd gpu and you installed the amd drivers and in games you see the texture not loading i'd reccomend you to disinstall the driver amd because they are very slow on old gpu's

This means the game you're running is running as an administrator, any hotkeys you press that are used by Discord won't be registered while inside game Window as your system is focused on the game, to fix this, you need to always run Discord as an administrator as well, it'll start registering hotkeys after

Hello, my one gigabyte rx 550 2gb ddr5 , I have a problem when I open my video editing program , after effects or sony vegas , the screen blinks and gives this message "we detected a driver timeout on your amd system" and the program crashes, then when I uninstall the amd video card driver and go to open the program it doesn't happen. before I used msi afterburne I lowered the core clock and the error stopped, but now it's not even advancing anymore, strange what can it be can you help me?

I don't see that HDCP option in my software. There is no 'overrides' section under the Display tab for me
everytime I use amd radeons software, it causes frame drops in every game. I rolled back the driver before and everything worked fine. Now i updated it, and its doing it again. When I roll it back now it just disconnects the graphics card and makes it unusable. Idk what to do
