- Today a mono amplifier made by Rockford Fosgate joined the dyno power test! The Rockford Fosgate Subwoofer amplifier is compact in size but not in weight! I was happy having the chance to test this amp in several ways!
I owuldnt call this amp oldschool as i heard that this one is still available on the market!

Rockford fosgate DSM amplifiers seemed like one of the best series. Along with the 25 to life series amplifiers. Another dream amp is the anniversary series 25 to life
I wish I will get a power series amp from very early 90s in future . I saw a test in a german car audio magazine and they called it something like perverted 😂👍
In my opinion its the best amp..YES I STATED ITS THE BEST AMP..

I'm a little dissappointed at this amplifier. It doesn't even make 500w continuos power (only 455.5w), and these amps aren't cheap!
I have the Punch 700-1bd amp, which I am now certain it doesn't make 700w. Fortunately, I bought it used for less than $100! Thanks for the video.😢
I guess it will do 500 watts but at 14.4V. I am testing with 13.6 to 13.7V. Underrated amps do much more 👍
I dare you to run these mono amp dyno tests on the Stinger MT1000.1, the MT1500.1, and the MT2000.1 mono amps. Stinger MT series will crush anything RockFord Fosgate can put out to market for less the 1/2 the price...RE Audio's ex cheif engineer designed all 3 of these amps and price to performance nothing can beat them!!!

I'm really curious how this amp would compare to Rockford's cheaper Prime series 500 watt amp. I believe the power output is very close, but I wonder if there are other factors that justify the higher price of the T500.
Prime, you are only going to get 500watts. Punch, more. Power, more more. It's way different when speakers are connected
@911dott If the only difference was power, you could just get a bigger prime amp. No, I'm thinking there are other reasons that they created a whole different line of amplifiers.
@JasonWW2000 it's the technology in the amp. Big power, clean, keeps the correct current even when impetence rise. Lol computer amp

I wish someone could find a kenwood kac-1023 to dyno.... use to be my dream amp back in my college days.
That amp was able to do around 600 - 700 Watts mono 4 Ohms depending on test voltage more or less. In which year did you buy this amp?
You do an excellent job testing them, but RF is tripping. Not saying it isn't a good Amp, but 600 watts for 500 dollars is crazy. Just not the bang for the buck like they used to be. The punch 60 would do close to 350 watts bridged at 2 ohms.
I can’t compare the amps when connected to a speaker, testing is brutal on a pure resistive load 😃
It costs what it costs. I guess the market will determine if it succeeds or fails.
Rockford power amps are super high quality I've owned 4 of them and will buy more!
Would you please try and locate an mtx ta 2300 amp..Im shocked that you havent been sent one to be tested.
I think the main problem is that I am located in Germany, hard to find a gem like the 2300 here, all MTX oldschool amps are very hard to find here ☹️
