Yes, not period correct car, but I still regret selling my -73 Granada Saloon V6 2,6l. What a great car to drive. Dashboard will be PITA to install good speakers, but I manage to install Focal 100KRS 3" midranges to my Saab 9-5, so no worries :-)

@audiokeller1975 how does this amp compare to the t1500-1bdcp?

If I remember correctly, the bdcp delivers 1000 watts instead of 500W into 4 ohms, 1500W into 2 ohms instead of 1000 W and into a 1 ohm load both amps deliver more than 1500W 👍

@joeyholthusen6495 that will work on speakers or resistors with a little more inductance. My resistors are almost inductance free so it will not show those higher numbers at 1kHz bursts. But still does great power especially for its size 👍

4 Ohms Bridge is not recommended, this equals 2 ohms per channel then.

@@audiokeller1975 I mean, I have 2 8 ohm subs, and I connect them in parallel, so that's 4 ohms. And what I'm interested in is, how much can 4 ohms deliver in bridge? That's how I use it, 2DB Beyma 18p1200nd. I'm curious because I clip around 3/4 tone. sorry for my bad wording, I think you get the idea.

I understand and of course it clips early. Like I said not recommended with this amp if bridged 4 ohms. In general: an amp driving a bridged 4 ohm load sees a 2 ohm load per channel, not good with this amp. Better avoid it 👍 bridging 8 ohms is ok the amp sees 4 ohms per channel. That’s ok 👌

Die moderne, leicht veränderte Version von QSC , die 4050HD leistet sogar noch weit mehr auch an 2 Ohm pro Kanal 👍

@@audiokeller1975 2 Ohm ist sehr gut! Da kann man dann 4 Boxen je 8 Ohm pro kanal beteiben! Nur sind bei diesem hier abgebildeten Modell leider schlechte Netztrafos ohne Spulenkörper drin! Wie früher bei Philips!

Die Spulen haben keinen Wickelkörper,sondern sind seitlich offen,sodass bei Erwärmung der Draht sehr schnell herausrutschen kann und aufs Eisen kommen kann! Solche Trafos durften in den 80er Jahren als SCART aufkam,in den Fernsehern nicht mehr verwendet werden!

@1962speiche interessant, dieses Modell war damals im eher rauhen Toureinsatz auf vielen großen Konzerten, sogar bei Phil Collins, festinstallationen, openair etc. pp. Probleme, die da mal auftraten, waren die Elkos, Trafos ganz selten, wenn überhaupt. Manchmal hat man Glück und bekommt noch eine aus dem Kino-einsatz, da ist der Zustand dann recht gut, auch nach all den Jahren.

Maybe some more with speakers because pure resistive load like I used in the test are a harder load for the amp. There is no impedance rise like in boxes, in this case it limits at 4 ohms bridged.

I can’t tell if they sold lots of stuff but I remember the GTO series and GTi woofers, they were well known back then 👍

@@danernorbi thanks for your comment 👍 Is there any chance to find this manual? I also had the TA2400 in ca. 2002-2003 but there were no 2 Ohm ratings in the manual. I also did not test into 2 Ohms because output power at 4 Ohms not really follow ohms law when tested continuous, there is rail sag.

​@@audiokeller1975i saw on the official site 2ohm stable , Also 22kg not 19.7kg like nowadays , you also need to monitor the input voltage from the wall i couldn't measure mine at 2ohms becouse mains was dropping to 180v 😂, if you could give me a contact i would send some photos and discuss PA stuff.

@@saschacubexyz wenn deine Raummoden weit unter 30Hz deutlich anheben, kann man das machen, so werden PA woofer zu tiefbassmonster. Räume sind um Welten problematischer als die innenräume von KFZ, da ist es oft nicht einfach, gleichmäßigen Bass zu erhalten, da brauchts dann bei ungünstigen räumen ( das sind sie irgendwie doch fast alle ), ein paar subwoofer mehr an merkwürdigen aufstellorten 😂

Oha, du hast mich erwischt, es ist zu lange her und ich hatte in der Zwischenzeit zu viele andere Amps befummelt um mich daran erinnern zu können 😳 Wenn du das alles bereits schon durch hast: wie sieht es mit der Netzteil Sektion aus?

@audiokeller1975 bei den Spannungsreglern kommt kein Strom an. Ich bin bisher davon ausgegangen, dass es durch den protection mode unterbunden wird🤔 Man sieht auf jeden Fall, dass beim ersten Einstecken kurs alles LED leuchten, bis dann der protection Modus greift

Interessant ist auch noch, dass der Protection Modus scheinbar nicht reingeht, sobald ich 9V anlege. Dann leuchtet allerdings auch wirklich nur die grüne LED und nichts weiter🤔

Hast du ein Gate ansteuerungssignal a den Netzteil- MosFets?

@@audiokeller1975 nein nur wenige mV. Es kommt auch nur an 2 der 4 Mosfets überhaupt 12V an

Does the power light illuminate after turning on? Sometimes it’s illuminating but no sound comes out of amp.

Can you check if the amplifier is pulling any current? To do so you need a bench power supply, adjust voltage to around 12,5V and Limit the current to 3-5 Amps with the supply and check if there is any current pulled. The supplies show the amount of current in amperes.

The current consumption is way lower if you operate the amp with music instead of sinewave input signal like I did in the test. 👍
