The subs were 180 degrees out of faze, when you were on the test bench. I have owned this amp for over 2 years now and still haven't hooked it up. Made sure it worked through a quick bench power up test and it's been under my bed since. I'm afraid that someone will steal it and this is a VERY expensive and sought after amp.
Cigarette Smoke or Dust for the discoloration inside the amp from the inviroment it was in but other than that Awesome deal on it keep the vids rolling plz.
Hope mine looks like the good one. I got mine into thermal overload one time but that's because I changed a setting on my head unit I didn't realize what it did but it made the amp go deep into the lows. Other then that I did go into protect and blew 2 sub's now. I have the T1500
That's why I rather buy new paying the extra hundred bucks or from someone I know really well and see them run it. Just got a brand new rockford t2500 bdcp from my friend with birth sheet 3371 at 2 ohm and 3508 at 1 ohm.
I Just bought two of them off ebay Refurbished from a seller within the last month for $700 each. He was originally asking $799. But took the offer of $100 off. I was just like you when Sound of Tri State had them for $799. But finally found them. Cheapest Refurb currently is $1199.
I have a video on my channel to be working on my 2500 funny thing is my ground strap came off and I had to resolder it back down on to the board you should check it out it was horrible runs like a champ now
If a have a tweeter of 4 ohm and a speaker of 4 ohm. Can i wire these in parallel to make the resistance 2 ohm and after that can i use it with amplifier that is stable on 2 ohm. Is this right or there is any problem with that?
Shoeb Malik you can build your own passive crossover to be customized to whatever tweeter and midrange combo you want. You need musical quality caps in a specific microfarad/voltage range for the tweeters and you can hand wind your own inducers to a specific weight to give the proper mH/milliHenries to get the desired frequency range for your mids. It’s not insanely complicated but it’s definitely not for those who lack confidence in their technical skills.

Those amps are beasts. With the caps being kinda loose I’m sure it was mounted to an enclosure at some point.
Is it a beast?

Those exterior panels always pop up on that series. I think Fosgate could’ve come up with a better design on that stuff.
Such an iconic amp!!! I wish I would have bought one of these from Tri State sound when they had the T2500 refurbs!!!

Rich Basa awesome thanks for the info I will keep an eye out an eBay!
love mine

Great deal
Bet the kickers pound
Just got one from ebay at $600..can you tell me what size is the set screw for the power/ground
Great video
wish i could
Whats those 3 red chips on this boards
One of my chip comes out but still working
there are a few red components on this pcb, hard to answer your question

Big problem, must use a passive crossover to insure you don’t blow your tweeter.
@@DonkeysBreath can i use capacitor to filter the frequency?
@@shoebmalik4083 in theory yes, in the real world its more then just a cap.
@@DonkeysBreath okay. Than you.

Just heat, the capacitors that lost their plastic top could stand to b replaced
Heat cycle cause that yellowing
Maybe yellow from smoking in vehicle.
one could think, but of passive amps , not much air flow comes through
PLEASE WHAT SIZE SCREWS ARE HOLDING THE COVER ON
I'm saying the same think right now!! WHAT SIZE?!?!
Finally got it myself its a T10
t10 driver , but what size thread no idea
Do you have an aftermarket alternator just stock?
Aftermarket, in the build I used the original 2500 in
Cant hear, you said how many dollars?
700 cad
Cigarette Smoke turns it that color
Sound accurate
Is normal that those amps gets hot on the edges??
Yes very normal, all to the power transistors are mounted around the three sides. As well this level of RF amp trips on thermal at over 100c
@@DonkeysBreath because i was scare both of my amplis got really hot i tough i connect something wrong
@@DonkeysBreath i put my hand and only can last like 4-5 seconds touching it 😬
Well I mean one has to be using it heavily to get that hot but yes
@@DonkeysBreath then something is wrong cuz it gets hot even at low volumen
Ive seen some used amps yellow on the inside from nicotine-cigarette smoke😂
good point, never thought about that.
Smoking just not bad for humans only lol
Do you want to sell it?😀
Sold bro sorry
@@DonkeysBreath I would of gave you 1000 for it😔
@@DonkeysBreath No problem. I want to run four of them in my Drop Top.
Put the stickers back on!!!
no way
Ill buy it
