Still my go to and favorite subwoofer amplifier to this day. Can't wait until they make and release a more powerful version. 10,000 watt rms cp would be epic.
I agree with the quality of Rockford Fosgate amplifiers. I have some OLD ones, a 1992 Punch 45HD and 1996 Punch 400x4 I bought new back then. Both amps still work great today! Reliability is second to NONE! Other amp brands will come and go, but RF is the benchmark from which other amps are striving for. They have always been ahead of the game, among the first to add MOSFET transistors back in the early 80's. Don't get cheap, pay for the good stuff! #RockfordFanatic4Life
I certainly saw A LOT of punch amps getting absolutely beaten to death when I was in high school back in the mid-90s. I don't think I ever saw anyone kill one no matter how hard they tried and most guys tried pretty damn hard. I couldn't even tell you how many cars I saw running 12" kicker comps and a Punch 200ix after they blew up a couple of Targa 500s. Ahhh... The good old days! haha.
+Maxwelhse I seen plenty back then burn up and have to go back to the dealer for repair ...but it might have been the installation. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Rockford fanatic!
MrSpanky473 I'm sure it happened, but I saw some of the most jenky fuse popping and twisted wires sparking against the trunk installs you can ever imagine a 15 year old accomplishing and never heard of a RF amp failing. It wasn't until someone spent the money on a Punch 500 that they really seemed to care about their install. Then again... plenty of those guys may have been playing amps that were hurt and never even knew it. Who knows? I've never owned an RF amp myself, but I've always had respect for the brand. I always liked more weird stuff (Phoenix Gold, Adcom, Orion, Audio Art, Lanzar, Soundstream, etc) back in the day. I think I just liked to be different.. haha
This amp is a beast! I have one on my 2 15's L7's. The gains are not even at half and the bass is crazy in my 2 door tahoe. Changing my set up soon since I just got 2016 Suburban I will be moving this amp to that truck and add a additional one for 4 15's.
I had one too, powering a 12" Orion HCCA and people thought I had 2 15" subs! This amp IS THE BEST AMP MONEY CAN BUY when it comes reliability and constant power.
Your videos inspired me to buy a Rockford t1000.1bd for my set up and I couldn't be happier. Even like it better then my old Hifonics zeus 600 from the 90's.
Love to see another video of Equalizing over Bluetooth through the Rockford Fosgate signal processors. Never know perhaps another minor adjustment may be needed due to stuff and things and wear and tear and other things and stuff :D Makes for a really interesting video of the technical control you have over the overall sound of your system. Just throwing it out there.
Fosgate was all I used too run back in the 90's. They was always a little more expensive but never had a failure. 4x250m's on 8 punch 15's...150's was loud back in the day.
well that explains why they ditched the t4000 this is more efficient and has damn near the same power, that was a great test and I'll be using it to educate people on why the Rockford power series is always a good way to go
Hey man keep up the work love your videos👍 and ive been RF fans since the 90s and there are the first if not one of the first car audio out and one the best....if iam not mastaking they started the car sysrems movement
i run one with zv5 15inch sundown and my favorite thing is what i call the warble float ! not sure the frequency but its that wa wa wa wa making the entire car feel like its floating including your body !! WOW SOOOO COOL feels like your riding the sub completely INSANE !
Hell yeah brother best amp I have ever owned. It's so versatile with all subs. Definitely backs up what it talks. Plenty of power when you need it. Very power hungry as well make sure electrical is there power wise cause this baby loves juice!
I’ve got the t1500 in my Tahoe I have it on two p3 15s how should I wire the subs to get maximum wattage also replacing stock alternator to a high output one
I got a bd1500.1 pushin two duel 2ohm 18" skar zvx in half ohm and it almost hits like a bd2500.1 in 1 ohm no BS think its pushin out about 2800 watts in half ohm
ya I got an old school power 360a2 and punch 200a4 and a set of 5.25 fnq components. need to get some rockford 8s and this t2500 and a 3sixty.3 to complete my build. oh and another 2 soundqubed hds315d2 subs.(have 1 now on an old p500x1 I had layin around)
I expected that birth sheet to read a lil bit higher than it did. I bought a RF 1000bd CP about 6 months ago and my birth sheet read 1700 RMS. But doing rated power, consistently, with long term reliability is great and any extra the amp puts out is a plus IMO.
I have an old school Phoenix Gold ZPA 0.5 that claimed to have a high current vs. high voltage modes and was supposed to produce the same power regardless (1,000 rated.. this is back in the late 90s so without going to something super huge, that was a powerful amp) of whether it was ran at 1 or 4 ohms. I was always curious to know if it actually did... Any experience with those, Steve?
I've had old school RF amps like the old Rockford 800/2. I even bought one when they use to sell their products at Best Buy. Sounds like they are sponsoring you. I might be wrong.
I dont have 14 lol but my one rockford t1500 is def a beast and the dynamic @ 1 ohm is 3k watts. Expensive and had to buy a knob for $35 but I will never buy a different brand. I had the cheaper 1200.1 punch or something I dont recall but it was my fault that amp isnt around no more not rockford. Damn good brand and thanks for the test.
RF Power series BDCP are the best subwoofer amps available. With less THD than class D and a shit ton of power across the impedance range they can't be beat
Im planning on wiring a secondary 14 volt xs battery or 16 volt to my t2500 to get better juice to it. Already have all the upgrades with a 250 amp alternator
I got one of these brand new. Set the gain and crossover with dd1 and cc1. As soon as I was done the amp went into protect. Unhooked the sub and rca's and it was still in protect. Rockford said to send it back to the dealer. The dealer told me that they have to send it to rockford. Now I have no bass for however long it takes for rockford to do something. Brand new out of the box you'd think I'd just get a replacement. Waited 2 months for fi to build my sub and still can't use it. Might just buy an ia20.1 and sell the rockford whenever it comes back. Grrrr!
Should only take a week and a half. But depends where u live so for people in california expect about a week. Had similar problem. Had this amp go out so I installed backup to save it costs over 400 to fix this bad boy. Finally had amp sent for repair got back in about a week. Went to install had to take out working alpine to install refurbished 2500 that was doa. Only went into protect. Saw needles and blue lights for a few split seconds but that was it. Sent back again under warranty this time and like i said about a week turn around. But the amp is worth the hassle it pounds like no other. I had alpine mrx-m240 x power and that puts out over 2700 watts rms @2 ohm. Great amp but this 2500 is louder still.
This am is prolly the best Rockford Fosgate amp that has ever been made ever!!!!! I just sold my t20001bd for 1000 bucks and bought this amp the older t20001bd was a bad ass amp as well but I wanted more
Just put a t1500-1 in my ride. Big difference in bass. One T2 15 dual 4 and I am hitting a 129 on the spl meter. I think I might do one more sub to drop it down to 1 ohm.
I thought the CP meant the amp delivered constant power, and not the same wattage across the board at all ohm loads. Like with most amps the wattage goes up and down as it plays depending on the load, whereas the CP keeps the amp pushing at a constant 2500 without it dipping under a heavy load.
What's the BD sync input for ? Is that how these amps get linked up ? Like JL's master / slave setup ? And are there just 2500BD vs the CP. I'm going to assume Steve only has the CP version in his ride.
meade916 if I remember you are running your 2500s at .7 each in the tahoe so your getting way over 3k to each voice coil! makes me want buy a couple fosgate 2500s
rockford, JL, Kicker etc. will show rated power, they can actually put for example: fosgate 750 watts at 1 ohm. max, but box watts is 1500 watts on box and will still mabey do more at dynamic, so they can put outrageous watts on box and it will do what box says but THEY will not lie because they don't have too. so cost per watt a little more money but worth every penny.
What is dynamic burst power? In another video where the same amplifier was analyzed with the same instrument in dynamic burst rms at 1 ohm the amplifier went into self-protection
Steve, do you want to test any SUONO amplifier, is a Mexican Brand of Car Audio, have really goods items, Suono have one amplifier of 3,500 W RMS at 1 ohm, you should be test this amplifier in your amp dyno test... What you thing man?... may be is good idea for your fans in Mexico...
+meade916 best amp i ever owned in my life I KICK MYSELF IN ASS EVERYDAY FOR GETTIN RID OF.SHLD OF STEAD W AND RAN 8 LIKE YOU.THANKS FOR THE GOOD DEALS BROTHA STEVE👍👍👍
why? that amp will do it's power and then some also! i have tested Sundown amps and they do great! great company too. Choose what works best for you though!
If he were to answer you he would say they are total garbage. But me, I have experience with them, they are decent amp's if you don't have over a grand to spend on a amp. :D
rf power. yow steve is it possibly to do amp dyno on a powerbass amp. i heard stories about them. are they any good. I saw their guts but still not certain.
What size Allen wrench is needed to open this amp to see the guts?? I own two, and I've tried and tried every size and can't seem to find the right one to open it up. I love these amps, just need to open it up to get a prong that broke off my rcas.
hey mead ive been a subscriber for yours for some time now. I was wondering if you could to a amp test tusday on a Rockford Fosgate p1000 1db one of the old ones. if u can get your hand on one. Im asking cause i have 2 fosgate p3 punches and idk if there being pushed to there full by this lownley amp. And i just kinda wanna see the power. Thank you mead if you read this comment.
Still my go to and favorite subwoofer amplifier to this day. Can't wait until they make and release a more powerful version. 10,000 watt rms cp would be epic.
Random Tube they did there’s a t15000

Got and old kicker kx1.200 have u ever tested on of those and do they do the actual numbers
+Maxwelhse I seen plenty back then burn up and have to go back to the dealer for repair ...but it might have been the installation. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Rockford fanatic!

+Maxwelhse yeah...I seen alot of punch 45's and 150's burn up..I was a Linear Power fan back then.
This amp is a beast! I have one on my 2 15's L7's. The gains are not even at half and the bass is crazy in my 2 door tahoe. Changing my set up soon since I just got 2016 Suburban I will be moving this amp to that truck and add a additional one for 4 15's.

Rockford Fosgate has always been a winner 👌
Your videos inspired me to buy a Rockford t1000.1bd for my set up and I couldn't be happier. Even like it better then my old Hifonics zeus 600 from the 90's.
Such an exceptional amp. Power all day long, and gobs of it. RF continues to produce amazing products.
Just got one brand new for $1100 gonna put it on 2 12” W7s....my birth sheet said 3583 @ 1ohm 😍
I have this amplifier and I think it’s the best amplifier hands down!
Steve please do a dyno on the 1500 bdcp version! Would love to see how the 1500 improved, opposing to the older bd. Dope stuff by the way!
I should have one in hand soon. Also testing the Prime 1200 this week!
Yessah. I got me one of those, pushing 1 16in T2 and that fuckah get action.
I have s couple of old power shrouded fan Amps from the 80's .. still get it In!!!
Love to see another video of Equalizing over Bluetooth through the Rockford Fosgate signal processors. Never know perhaps another minor adjustment may be needed due to stuff and things and wear and tear and other things and stuff :D
Makes for a really interesting video of the technical control you have over the overall sound of your system. Just throwing it out there.
my bd1500s lasted from 2002 to 2016 clipped to he'll and abused to no end. Great amps. RIP the one BD1500 that died, you will be missed.
DirtySouth Wookie send it in
Out of 4 t1500s we had to return 2 in my friends old build. Been an RF fan all my life. Jeep had 300amp alt and 4 group 31s.
Fosgate was all I used too run back in the 90's. They was always a little more expensive but never had a failure. 4x250m's on 8 punch 15's...150's was loud back in the day.
you make me like tuesday
Beautiful amp inside and out.
Has anybody done a dyno with two of these bridged together with the sync cable? I haven't seen any that I can find. Curious about the output.
i remember when this bass stuff got big around '85-'86 rockford fosgate was the big daddy, the one to have if you had the dough.
well that explains why they ditched the t4000 this is more efficient and has damn near the same power, that was a great test and I'll be using it to educate people on why the Rockford power series is always a good way to go
best amp I've ever had mine does 2700 at 1 got it for 500
I see somebody local selling one for $900 ... any idea what the average used price is?
@@bugsysiegals 800-1000
Hey man keep up the work love your videos👍 and ive been RF fans since the 90s and there are the first if not one of the first car audio out and one the best....if iam not mastaking they started the car sysrems movement

One of the best amps ever made
Have you dyno the T1500.1 ?
we need this test but we all know it will turn out the same
I have, working on the vid now...
BigDWiz be glad when you it up. Been waiting for the bdcp1500 dyno for awhile
I’ve got the t1500 in my Tahoe I have it on two p3 15s how should I wire the subs to get maximum wattage also replacing stock alternator to a high output one
I got a bd1500.1 pushin two duel 2ohm 18" skar zvx in half ohm and it almost hits like a bd2500.1 in 1 ohm no BS think its pushin out about 2800 watts in half ohm
dude, nice video...love your stuff...that test didn't shock anyone,Rockford is known to deliver the powa.
holy crap. Rockford is no joke thanx Steve. I have j/l audio 500/1 v2 slash with a w6. and I just can't take the full power. I can't fathom 4k watts.
I was waiting for the half ohm test lol
I have looked online for a dyno on a fosgate t1000bd and can't find one. You should def try one out!!
Do a test on the Zapco Z-3KD
cool video man thanks! been watching you for years
could you test two of these strapped together?
ya I got an old school power 360a2 and punch 200a4 and a set of 5.25 fnq components. need to get some rockford 8s and this t2500 and a 3sixty.3 to complete my build. oh and another 2 soundqubed hds315d2 subs.(have 1 now on an old p500x1 I had layin around)
So there's more to come on the Yukon series?
Wow that's ridiculous! Those RF amps always excel on the amp dyno!
давно ждал тест именно этого усилителя. спасибо, Стив!
Do you think the power will be the same with the new bank?
4-ohm numbers?
I had the non cp t2500 wish I would have never sold it. I'll get another one of these some day.
Such a beautiful amp .

How about and Incriminator 80.1 on the amp dyno! Great video man

meade916. Have u done any amp tests on kicker amps?
No amp does it better. Bass hit like an atom bomb Just listen and know
I've had old school RF amps like the old Rockford 800/2. I even bought one when they use to sell their products at Best Buy. Sounds like they are sponsoring you. I might be wrong.
Meade are those your trophies in the background... :)

Can you test a JL Audio Slash 1000/1v2 or 1200/1v3?
nice......have you ever did a dyno on a kicker kx2400.1
RF Power series BDCP are the best subwoofer amps available. With less THD than class D and a shit ton of power across the impedance range they can't be beat
I have one to push an AA team 15, looking to get another. along with my SMD terminals. they is no joke. heavy duty like this amp and my sub.
Im planning on wiring a secondary 14 volt xs battery or 16 volt to my t2500 to get better juice to it. Already have all the upgrades with a 250 amp alternator

This am is prolly the best Rockford Fosgate amp that has ever been made ever!!!!! I just sold my t20001bd for 1000 bucks and bought this amp the older t20001bd was a bad ass amp as well but I wanted more
I'd like to see the numbers on a audiopipe apcl 1800d just because I haven't seen a dyno test on them yet
Just put a t1500-1 in my ride. Big difference in bass. One T2 15 dual 4 and I am hitting a 129 on the spl meter. I think I might do one more sub to drop it down to 1 ohm.

I could swear you tested the t2500 in one of the first video when you first got the dyno
I believe that was TonyD showing the difference between caps/no caps/etc.
This is why I use Fosgate amps only!!! bdcp of course
What's the BD sync input for ? Is that how these amps get linked up ? Like JL's master / slave setup ? And are there just 2500BD vs the CP. I'm going to assume Steve only has the CP version in his ride.
Can you test the T750x1bd? They birth out at >1000W but use boosted rail technology. I would love to know if they truly put that out.
meade916 if I remember you are running your 2500s at .7 each in the tahoe so your getting way over 3k to each voice coil! makes me want buy a couple fosgate 2500s
I run a 1500bdcp. I am trying to slide on 5 more for a demo van
Next amp for sure
Have you ever try strapp'em two of these nice 2500 bdCP's? How is that on the dyno😉
what do you think about massive audio
Have you have did a dyno test on a kicker kx2500 or a kicker kx2500.1
keep up the good work man do you think if rockford comes out with a more powerful amp that u will make the swap
rockford, JL, Kicker etc. will show rated power, they can actually put for example: fosgate 750 watts at 1 ohm. max, but box watts is 1500 watts on box and will still mabey do more at dynamic, so they can put outrageous watts on box and it will do what box says but THEY will not lie because they don't have too. so cost per watt a little more money but worth every penny.
speaking of sundown, could you do an amp test on the Sundown Audio SCV-2000D?
What is dynamic burst power? In another video where the same amplifier was analyzed with the same instrument in dynamic burst rms at 1 ohm the amplifier went into self-protection
Do you guys have stuff from ground zero audio in america? I would love to see those amps on the dyno and also the subs flexin. Greatings from germany
he'll yea my RUclips has been dead no new videos thanks for another interesting video
I used to stuff their pcb boards back in the Day - component quality wasn't that great. But they've come along way:)
I like some of their older amps used Motorola transistors in the power supply area
can you test out a ampere audio 2k to see what type of numbers you get out of a $500 amp?
I love fosgate. unfortunately I've switched over to sundown. still a huge fan of fosgate though.
can't wait to get one of those amps😜👌 love the videos Steve.
thanks a lot!!
+meade916 best amp i ever owned in my life I KICK MYSELF IN ASS EVERYDAY FOR GETTIN RID OF.SHLD OF STEAD W AND RAN 8 LIKE YOU.THANKS FOR THE GOOD DEALS BROTHA STEVE👍👍👍
+meade916 How can I get you to test my Pioneer Amp?
Meade...Do you think one of those amps would push 4 RF T2 15's? Just curious bro....
sure there are othere amps that make good power. but the R&D that goes into fosgate amps is the best!
Orion XTR 2500.1 puts out more Power for only $349/amazon. The HCCA 3000 splx even more!!!😁😁😁
Yeah dirty power.
Orion isn't dirty....check the THD at 1ohm on those amps.....now taramps a dirty powet
I think it's the MD?8000.1.....7%thd for that 8000watts
Good day! Whats the difference between t2500bd vs t2500bdcp.. i mean the watts sir.. thanks
I was set on buying a Sundown scv-2000d but after this video i have a change of heart
why? that amp will do it's power and then some also! i have tested Sundown amps and they do great! great company too. Choose what works best for you though!
meade916 ok cool..i was just blow away at the numbers this RF did.
If youve got the money go rockford but sundown is awesome aswell
how much for one of those T2500's as long as it works as it should looks doesn't matter much
been waiting on that dyno...oh yea👍
yo meade what you think about audiopipe amps i hear they are pretty good also what's your opinion
If he were to answer you he would say they are total garbage. But me, I have experience with them, they are decent amp's if you don't have over a grand to spend on a amp. :D
meade can you test out Pioneer 8601 1600 watt amp
pioneer 8601 isnt a 1600 watt amp. Its rated at 800 rms, 1600 peak. I believe the 800 rating, I had one when I was 16 and it seemed pretty powetful.
I own a RF prime 1200 now, I bought it cuz Steve dyno'd the 750 and it did really well. Insanely efficient too.
+jacob p what about the audiopipe 1500.1d watt monblock amp
Big D Wiz tested one of their 1500.1s using an AD1
+jacob p yea I watch that video and its really good for the cost. Might buy one in the future
rf power. yow steve is it possibly to do amp dyno on a powerbass amp. i heard stories about them. are they any good. I saw their guts but still not certain.
you should test the dual xpr520 from Walmart it says it 2006 cea compliant
Steve do u think I can run 2 of these one per the fosgate power series t2d212s
T2500 bdcp I bought it for 600 last year best amp period
What size Allen wrench is needed to open this amp to see the guts?? I own two, and I've tried and tried every size and can't seem to find the right one to open it up. I love these amps, just need to open it up to get a prong that broke off my rcas.
Please do the t1500bdcp. I need to know if 2 of them will put out more than the 2500
ruclips.net/video/VKO_sWLsMhs/видео.html
I want to see one of my JBL crown bpx2200.1 amps on dyno they suppose to put out more power at 4 ohm then at 2ohm .
hey mead ive been a subscriber for yours for some time now.
