It's incomplete with only the Celtors staying there, while Layer 2 has the entire Kyrsgarde species. Also there is no celestial realm. The Celestials lived in the sky of Lumen, alongside the Lightborn and the imprisoned king we find in layer 2. The Depths did not seem to appear until the Tides. When the Tides appeared, they wiped out the Celestials and drowned the Celtors. I'm pretty sure that's when the Depths appeared, the invading mass of alternate dimensions constantly assimilating other worlds. That's what the imprisoned Lightborn king described it as.

That would explain why Scyphozia doesn't seem to have a Drowned God residing over it yet, as it's incomplete. Layer 2, or the Eternal Gale, according to the king, likely used to be their own world, with the Kyrsgarde as the main intelligent lifeform, similar to how humans rule over Lumen. Then it was probably assimilated into the Depths, causing them to be taken over by Ethiron, or the Scion of Ethiron, with only a few Kyrsgarde escaping the clutches of the Drowned God. This contrasts with the mindless Celtor Guards that seem to be at peace with the monsters, much like the Kyrsgarde, now monsters, are with the Bonekeepers and Bounders, likely the original monsters that they once fought against. There's also the whole deal with the Hivemind and Owls, another intelligent species that seems to prey on other intelligent lifeforms. Possibly originating from another layer of the Depths, maybe a non-human version of a Krulian? They probably part of the Depths considering that they can be corrupted. If the entirety of Lumen is drowned, it is likely that humans will become "monsters" part of the Depths that will aid in invading and conquering other worlds. Most of them will probably also lose their intelligence, or become obedient in some way towards the Depths; the Kyrsgarde before us serve as an example.
The alpha sharko is probably just the strongest sibling in the pack. Sharkos are probably not a hybrid. They’re probably just a natural animal of the depths. They’re a deep sea species, which explains why they were rarely seen before the tides (similar to the real world giant and colossal squid) which populated the world of deepwoken once the sea became more widespread. They have terrestrial features because the depths (which are the bottom of the ocean) has water that has an unnaturally low density and an unnaturally high level of oxygen (to the point that it can be breathed) (basically the water is very air-like) which could explain why some animals in deepwoken experience gigantism. Either that or the water is just magic. The sharkos are pretty much that, semi-terrestrial sharks. They’re intelligent pack hunting carnivores. The existence of their spines (which is a possible thing to exist, jellyfish can launch spines) implies that they have some form of predator (maybe the giant crabs or threshers? maybe they even cannibalise other members of their species, and the spines were passed down because they helped members not be consumed by the alphas of their pack upon disobedience/disagreement. They could also be purely for show in order to attract a mate, but I doubt that considering their nature as a self defense mechanism)

Them being a hybrid with wolves/lionfish is a massive stretch. Dominance hierarchies are found in tons of animals and are not at all restricted to wolves and their kin. And having spines is also not just or even mainly a lionfish thing. Just looking at sharks, you can find both of those things to some extent.

It is a wonderful method of getting more storage space in your stomach. Anyhow, rambling is a go: - Sharkos might be toad-like creatures. - Projectiles are "eggs" embedding into your skin - Alphas are- or most likely -females. Or they might be asexual, it is 2024 after all.
Nah the sharkos aren't wolves. They're Corrupted humans, how do we know this? Umbral obsidian and shadowcast obtainment, in the lore book "God in the machine" We know that to get shadowcast you put people in a machine to extract their life force making the attunement potion. In the lore we use 5 umbral obsidians instead. Meaning that sharkos, along with other creatures that drops an umbral obsidian, is indicated as being once a human being too.

My thought based on how you can look at a sharko. 50% Shark, 25% Lionfish 15% Wolf and 10% Man / Celtorian idk. This is the dna I think a sharko has based off of looks and how they act. I added human to the chart since they have human features and have somewhat of a social life with other sharkos.
