Just love this band been a favorite of mine since the eighties brings back memories of high school and they still sound good thanks for helping us stay young if not for a night but it's all good.
Jeff left in 1993 or 97 I think. Donny had to retire in 2013. Don B and Donny along with Jeff in their prime were just a spewing volcano of talent and energy. Don Barnes is just a fantastic song writer and musician. Those early album's were full of authenticity and integrity. The guy's were working real hard to make music that would stand the test of time. They obviously succeeded.
Nice hi-fi sound to your video for just a hand held whatever you used! Most hand held vids are crap for sound. Props for keeping it semi still, too. Thanks for posting to keep us 38 fans caught up on what they are doing now days. Barely legal girls behind you talking the whole time weren't into it BECAUSE they are barely legal. Sigh. Wish we could go back to 4 and 5 piece rock bands being the top dogs instead of the state of music on the charts today. Times have changed for sure. I miss my rock bands. This individual singer stuff now days has a spot, but give me a BAND!
Greta Van Fleet, look up Dino Dejulsic, I recently found a little band of young folks in Michigan called Frame 42 double female lead vocal and they are able to cover Maiden among other stuff and their originals are good . Rush tribute - YYNOT !! holy shit !! :) MSG is still out and about , so is Saxon . Haha and from the "other side " check out Terri Nunn and Berlin :)
Saw them with Charlie Daniels and Molly Hatchet in Seattle back in the early 80's, again with Gregg Allman in '87 in Boston, and with Skynyrd and Marshall Tucker in Mansfield, MA in '21!
Always loved .38 Special and know they are pleasing the crowd but it’s just not the same without Donnie Van Zant, 2 drummers, LJ and Jeff Carlisi. Don Barnes is amazing but it’s a shell of who they were.
The last time I saw them before this show was 1981, and I too miss Donnie and the rest, but Barnes was the voice and main writer and his voice hasn't failed him like so many older rockers has. I was pleasantly pleased with this show.
@@tims.3686 Glad you enjoyed the show and yes, Don Barnes seems ageless with voice and guitar skills, taking Jeff Carlisi’s solos and he’s dead on. I know bands evolve through the years with different members but there’s nothing like the original band without DVZ leading the way and not performing any songs they did with the background singers, I just can’t get into it. Thanks again for the reply!
you must not have seen them lately?i seen them over 8 times in my life and they still sound great!!!don does great for sure.donnie wanted to retire.its all good.
@@yeahright302 I’ve seen them many times as well with and without the members I mentioned. I respect your opinion and comments but I prefer the original band with the background singers. They don’t play the songs that had the the background singers anymore like “Take Em Out”, Back On The Track, First Time Around, etc. Glad you’re still enjoying the band.
Makes me feel old. When bands of that calibur go down the toilet they go down hard. Call a plumber. Saw this band destroy in the 80's. Sold out a North American tour. Now I'm in my bathrobe watching this. Oh well.
They were touring with Molly Hatchet in the very early 80's. Today, they have stood the test of time! Well done.
This video would’ve been a lot better without the loudmouths in the background
Well we can tell you never went to Concerts !
Just turn around and tell em shut up!!! Give ur ears a chance!!

After all these years. Still Rocking It Strong.
Would've been enjoyable if not for the drunk girls. As usual
Damn I'm impressed, they are master performers even now!

See y’all Saturday night hard rock Cincinnati. My fav song
love this band!!!!
Sounds great except for the screeching harpies in the background.
Not sure who the woman talking is, but, should listen to the great music!

Reminds me of my ex….I miss you Julie 😢…….it doesn’t fade away ❤️
I know!
There’s always some woman that can’t shut up
Russia loves .38 Special
What if... Could you smile when inside you just want to cry.
Just seen them awesome show
What if I'd been the one to say goodbye.....hummm....makes all the difference. :)
Sounds just like the 1984 released song !!!!!!!
Yeah I know, back when musicians actually played instruments and sang live. This sounds amazing
ME: *Presses Play To Hear Video
DRUNK SOCCER MOM: “blahblahblahblahblahSCREAM!”
Another great band snubbed by rock hall of fame

I agree but it’s still better than almost every new act around today
someone shut up that person yacking ..!!

They still sound great. They’re still out there rockin.
They sound amazing after all these years. The only thing detracting from the video was the annoying as hell women who kept talking in the background.

Great band but the smoke is NOT needed at all for their performance.
What do you mean?
Not enjoyable at all.
Why?
@mtp04987 Too much background noise. The music was great. It just was not enjoyable to listen to over all the stuff going on in the background.
Been better if girl wasn’t babbling the whole time 😅
