Lyrics:
Woke up to the sound of pouring rain
The wind would whisper and I'd think of you
And all the tears you cried, that called my name
And when you needed me I came through
I paint a picture of the days gone by
When love went blind and you would make me see
I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes
So that I knew you were there for me
Time after time you were there for me
Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sands - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you
Oh, whoa
We spent the summer with the top rolled down
And wished ever after would be like this
You said "I love you babe," without a sound
I said I'd give my life for just one kiss
I'd live for your smile and die for your kiss
Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sands - I remember you
And through the sleepless nights, through every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you, oh
We've had our share of hard times, but that's the price we paid
And through it all we kept the promise that we made
I swear you'll never be lonely
We woke up to the sound of pouring rain
Washed away a dream of you
But nothing else could ever take you away
'Cause you'll always be my dream come true
Oh, my darling, I love you
Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sands - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you
Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sands - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember, I remember you, yeah

I lost my wife after 44 years together 2 years ago. This song makes me smile and remember as a tear or two rolls down my cheek.
Stay strong my friend. This morning I shed a tear for your wife and I raise my drink to you.
A blessed life to spend 44 years with the one you love, my she be waiting for you with open arms and a bright smile.
Bless you and keep strong🌹
I wish my husband loved me like that.
I feel you I lost my wife 2 years ago.. just 10 days before our 26th wedding anniversary. Heart attack. What do I miss the most? Every damn thing. Stay strong. Music like this brings back memories.
This was my me and my girfriend's song in 1989. I was away at college. We went on to marry and have a daughter who has given us two grandchildren. We wound up getting divorced many years ago, but this song can still put me back in that time and place where I was so in love I could barely breathe. Life moves fast. Take it all in and don't waste a second.
I agree if you can get to your spouse you should be separated for a minute
Oh Man doesnt it ? What a wild wild time .I was so in love my highschool sweetheart and I nothing else mattered .
Nothing.
I loved him dearly .
Oh how I loved him
Well said , actually , very well said...

Sebastian Bach's signature "scream" at the end of Skid Row's songs was just legendary. Amazing voice control.
I remember being in my 20s and trying to mimic that scream when the song was on the radio --- it takes a REALLY big breath to get through it
Check out Dan Vasc’s cover of this!
Unreal! 🔥

Sebastians's vocals are insane. His voice is one of the best in rock n roll history. Simply amazing vocals.
They are, I agree. He just doesn't top Miljenko Matijević. He has the most powerful set of pipes I have ever heard! If you aren't familiar with Steelheart, listen to their song Never Let You Go.
Kip Winger had a set of pipes also. Best live performance I've seen. sounded better then CD.
100% such glassy vibrato. Ridiculously precise control too. His transitions in and out of compression and fry were way ahead of its time for extreme vocals.

The greater rock ballad of all time. I’m almost 50 and this song still hits hard.
1989 - this song is awesome!
2020 - this song is awesome!
Yeah, but in 2020 he is *not* awesome. Just watched that cat put out a shitty performance in Italy. Clearly doesn't care about getting in shape physically or vocally to give his best. Just cares about the money it seems.
@@catsincredulous9998 come on he's getting on and his voice has taken a battering over the years. His present skill doesn't affect how awesome this track is
@@FlabbyAbi You are absolutely correct, his present voice does not at all affect how good this track is. That wasn't my disposition. I was just merely pointing out, as you recognized, his voice has taken a beating. Honestly, if my voice sounded that much different, I would not go out on tour or sing anywhere. I feel that I would have more pride than that. Look at Ann Wilson, she' 18 years older! And still able to kill it.
It's one thing not to hit the high notes, but the whole voice is just not good IMO. And while I don't know how much correcting or improvement you can make at an older age, I would think that doing some vocal training again would improve whatever you are starting with. If you are a performer who truly cares about bringing your best, why would you not do that which is in your power or control?

Plus here's the thing: lots of people on these comments do in fact have pictures - real papers ones - hidden away far from family that someday we need to take out, say goodbye, and consign them to the flames before one day we're surprised with "Who is this girl in all these pictures I found?" all of the instrumentals alone speaks more than any rap music ever made, especially since the rappers cant even play any instrument.
Oh I remember you to Sebastian!! Best voice of rock. 2024 Still listening
At 50 years old, I still crank my radio and transport to my 16 year old self without a care in the world. Thank God I was a youth gone wild Gen Xer!
We're the lucky ones. Imagine being a kid these days..
@@Ningishzidd4 I really can’t relate to anything with them. I would never trade my youth with this gen. We did fine with vcr’s and cassette tapes. At least i did.
They can keep their souless technology and insane tik tok challenges. Even the music today sucks.
Im just an old fart.
@@DVL327 Im 23 three and the music that I listen to is early 60's , middle 70's and 80's ... Well some of early 2000. But also sometimes I feel disgusted about the generation I belong to 😖
I am 52. This song kills it. Awesome. Nailed it.
Will be 50yrs in 2 months. I missed being a teenager again. 😂
They don't make music like this anymore. I remember windows down, stereo blasting, and cruising the country roads. Those were the days.
Got any suggestions for me when it comes to 80s and 90s rock?
Some things never change. I still crank this in the summer, windows down. And in the winter you can still hear it blasting from my car even with the windows up. Metal in those days was absolutely AMAZING!!!
@@darthvader3155 Megadeth from 85-92
Ozzy: from 81-91
White Lion: All You Need Is Rock n Roll
Ratt: Tell The World
Motley Crue: Shout At The Devil
Cinderella: Rock Wired & Bluesed
Anthrax: Spreading The Disease, Among The Living, State Of Euphoria
Queensryche: Greatest Hits
Just off the top of my head.
Music these days is disgusting, honestly and this is coming from a Millenial
Well no one drives country roads anymore
One of the best frontman ever
Brother died of cancer about a year 1/2 ago. Bach was his favorite singer besides Freddie mercury. Every time I listen to this I think of him. Think of him everyday but it brings me back to when I was 5 in his room listening to metal
One of the greatest voices in the history of rock.
I can remember watching MTV so anxiously waiting for this video to come on. Where does the time go? This song is timeless
Same! On Hard 30…Where DOES the time go? It goes on…Sigh
And we still have MTV just no good on it anymore. Bring back the good music. Can’t stand watching it these days

I was 18 years old and i got my first real jobb and my only true love when this song was plyed on radio. So many wonderful memories. It was 1989.

For me it was my brother. My brother watched over me and introduced me to rock and i will never forget it. My brother doesn't know it but, he is amazing.

Music like this will never happen again…man. So good.
I Sure Wish it would- Ratt, DEF LEPPARD, Van Halen, Bryan Adams, Heart, Huey Lewis and the News, Thompson Twins..........................in other words, Real Music.
Well you know what, the 80’s are coming back, with the mullets and longer hair. Maybe (hopefully) the music comes back too
Maybe one of the best rock ballad guitar solos ever
Sebastian could have been a hall of fame artist if Skid Row could have just gotten their act together
I don't give a flying f*ck what year are you watching this.
This will forever be awesome.
Thank you, these people probably heard it on the radio and looked it up.
Skid Row with Bach was one of the best heavy metal bands of the 80s/early 90's, awesome riffs and probably the best ballads, this one and in a darkened room. Last but not least, his voice.. God damn, definatly top 5 best heavy metal vocalists ever. Up there with Halford and Dickinson
Yes, seriously, Sebastian's voice will never ever get old, his high notes are so incredibly unique, especially his "fry"" (harsh/screaming tone), its absolutely out of this world. Not to mention the incredible feeling this melody gives me, i feel so empowered and strong! Nothing gets close to this "music-feeling" as i call it, nowadays. Fan-fucking-tastic.
@@GalenIRL wasn't metal. More like hard rock. But, I remember you is my forever favorite song!!!
#1 power ballad!!!
