Today is my birthday. I just turned 54 years old. I wanted to give myself a very special gift so I chose to listen to this tremendous and unique romantic song inspired by one of my favorite rock bands, Cinderella. Perfectly splendid!🎂💕😘🎶
This is in my opinion the best song ever written by Cinderella!! I had the pleasure of seeing Cinderella on their Long Cold Winter tour with Judas Priest back in 1989 at Hampton Virginia Colosseum!! The absolute best concert that I have ever seen!!! What a concert!!!!!!

Well said, I think they opened for Bon Jovi in my island of Puerto Rico can't recall the exact year probably 86,87. Time flies but this song still holds up great, rest easy Jeff..🙏
I'm 58 years old/Young and I'm very thankful to be part of a chosen generation that has had the privilege to hear what music actually sounds like when placed into the right hands! I thank Cinderella and all the bands that gave us their time and their talent to make this happen! Please share this music with the younger generations so that they don't miss out on what we've had all along! Thank you, and as we've always said, turn it up and rock and roll!!
This rock band were so seriously underrated up there with the very best. They wrote some of the most beautiful rock ballads I have ever heard. I am 53 and I have loved my rock music all my life its got soul and have many favourites this band is certainly up there with my all time favs Rip Jeff ❤️ 🎸
Yes sir. I grew up with all the 80s and 90s music. I never considered this band a "hair metal" band. These guys were Rock n Roll just like GnR. Love this band. And the singer/guitarist is an amazing songwriter. Fan for Life.
Nothing better then an 80's power ballad, many bands didn't even want to do them but those songs have become some of the most everlasting songs in their repertoire.
One of the most underrated songs of any genre or style. Such a touching and real song. When this came out I loved it and Cinderella also. Now at 52 I truly understand, you don’t know what you got till it’s gone,as most of us do. Keep on living and rocking my friends.🙂
It is definitely not unknown to the wise. It’s a classic and those that don’t know will learn. It is a a great ballad and I love that they stood up for freedom of speech.
❤ now this is music to the ears I just love all my older rock and roll and some rhythm and blues and just a little bit of country music but all in all I will choose rock and roll classic anytime to anything else ❤
A masterpiece..one of the greatest ballads ever..2023 and I am listening. Cinderella is my all time fav band..saw them twice..a true privilege..this IS great music...ooooh..yeah
Nobody, I mean nobody is cooler than Jeff LeBar holding & playing a six string. Deepest Sorrow of his passing. Thanks Jeff, coolest guitar God ever. RIP
I got to see Cinderella in 2012. All the Original guys were there. They were blown away that a few thousand of us showed up to see them in 2012. Lol. Well Heck yes man. They are the best. LA Guns opened up for them, and Skid Row was in the middle. It was so amazing. Tom said they were really stoked about the tour after stopping in Bay City, Mi and seeing all of us show up and Jam like it was 1987! Always Tom!
They were a good , but the name was off putting to many rockers. This ballad is timeless, so is Adeles Someone like you. Good music is good music no matter how old or new. Florence and the machine is brilliant as well
Their music is so unique and beautiful but sadly Cinderella hard rock band is on hiatus since the band last record "Still Climing" in 2004. But former Cinderella frontman singer-songwriter musician, composer and producer Carl Thomas Keifer have a new solo record his first record since his former band Cinderella. Tom's keifer new solo record title "RISE" was acclaimed by music critics last year in October in hard rock category and Tom sounds so cool in this record after his seven vocals cords surgeries and a paralysis in his left vocal chord cord and after the death bof his beloved mother in 2005 cancer victim she was a school teacher and a piano player. Tom's father who died when his Son Tom keifer was 9 year old only he was also a science school teacher and a saxophone player. Tom no only play guitar but he also play harmonica, play piano like his late mother and play saxophone too like his late father. Tom keifer postponed the rest of his first solo tour "RISE" for now after his former band Cinderella, with his new band "The KeiferBand" because the Coronavirus or Covid-19 they say until June or July but if this situation still like this with this new virus Tom keifer say they need to cancel it until next year (2021) Good luck Tom keifer.
Except that this guy can't sing. In this song he's too busy "putting on the gravel" to concentrate on actual singing. You can tell he's forcing it. I'd never heard of Cinderella until a few years ago and I was a big rock nut by the end of the 90s. With a better front man, they could have knocked it out of the park. But, yeah. 70s and 80s were definitely the time to be alive. The musicians my daughter listens to will be long forgotten before bands from that era will be.
Wow I'm 48 years old and I still get chills with this song it will forever be in my heart ❤songs like this are timeless...r.i.p always remembered but not forgotten
Graduated high school in 1985..now at 56..im still listening too Poison, Scorpions, def leppard,Bon Jovi, Boston, Foreigner, Nickleback..They are all in my playlist...and makes me go back in time with all long haired rock n roll bands!ROCK ON!❤
Myself graduated in '74 and still listening to Dio, Deep Purple, Cinderella, Stargazery, Richie Blackmore, Hardliner and many more. 99% of their song are in my playlist in Spotify.
Its not just how great this Rock Ballad is...Its also the video and the whole feeling involved ! Who hasn't felt this way ? I wish this kind of talent was still happening today...I'm thankful that I have experienced Cinderella - one of my all time favorite Rock bands - Love to every one of these gents ! Thank-you for your gift of music to all of us !💝
Truly one of the most impeccable Power Ballads from the 80's rock era - absolutely sublime recording right here and in 2024 as I am approaching 60 years old I am STILL LOVING IT.
"Cinderella" is Probably the most underrated rock band of the 80's and 90's because they deserve a better recognition. Cinderella music is different, is clean of negative messages because in every Cinderella's songs you can hear positive word's Or a very true message like in this one and that's why fan's still love Cinderella's music in this days because is an AMAZING! Hard Rock Metal Band.
Yeah, definitely they were underrated in the 80' and 90's, if you think in bands like Poison, Def Leppard, Kiss and others. Sure they should have deserve more attention.
That's the truth my soundtrack of my teenage years is too awesome for this generation to understand. Now in my golden years I still enjoy them but have found some new young guns to enjoy.
Greetings from Mexico Good evening. I apologize for jumping into your comment in such a way. I'm really looking forward to get to know you better. If you're comfortable with it, I'd love to talk somewhere outside the RUclips comment section. and get to know each other a bit more intimately. What do you think?
Love this song, but my fav is Nobody’s Fool and Heartbreak Station!!!!!! Can’t get enough of Cinderella. I’m 56 now and hubby is 61. I met my hubby when I was 17. He asked me to marry him 4 months later. We have been together for 39 years. We are always reminiscing about the olden days and playing 80s music. Cinderella all the way!!!!! I hope Tom sees all the comments.
I met my wife at 16, got her pregnant at 16. Married her at 17. We've had five children, 38 years later we're still together. This got me banned from Reddit. Well done, and good luck for the future.
You obviously need your head, brains 🧠 examined; the lead vocalist are sung Horribly, Terribly and GOD AWFUL Sounds throughout this tune. Lead Singer sings, sounds like SHIIT! 💩 Gross 🤮🤮 😷 🤢 Yuck 🤮 🤢 Ew, EEK, IIK. You have Terrible, Horrible tastes in Music. 🎵
This song never gets old. I'm dedicated to this song to my 62 year old uncle. He passed away tonight after long illness. He was a recipient of double lung transplant and would've been his 7th anniversary next weekend. Love you, Uncle Ephrem James!
My deepest sympathis and condolences to you.❤😔 My mother killed herself in 1988, when I was 24. This album had just come out. When I got to my parents' house after finding out she was gone, MTV was playing on the television, and this video came on. It brought me to my knees. Needless to say, this song has mixed feelings associated with it for me...
My kidney transplant failed during covid. I'm struggling with sickness even as u read this. I'm back on dialysis and looking grim..I'm in to much pain etc.but I'm fighting for some reason. God bless u all
When I was growing up in the 80's, I took life for granted. Not paying any mind as to how awesome that friggin decade really was. Such a simpler time with awesome music and awesome people! Now over 30 years later in 2019, I regret not appreciating those times when I was a kid. I wish I could go back, because honestly, You don't know what you got til its gone....
Other side of 50 now, and I hear the clock ticking LOUDER AND LOUDER. Wish we could go back but until that time machine is ready, work on your bucket lists. Enjoy the time you have left, my friends.
lol I would give up 10 years forward to relive 5 years of the 80's So much fun and your right none of this bullshit that's happening now.....So much fun !

This band "Cinderella" is on hiatus since the band last album together title "Still Climbing' in (1994) great album too but I think it was released in a wrong time. But this band former frontman Singer-songwriter musician, composer and producer Carl Thomas Keifer (Tom) still Rocking touring and singing our favorite Cinderella's hits songs and new hits songs too from his second solo album title "RISE" and his new band The #Keiferband and let me tell you this Tom Keifer who was born Carl Thomas Keifer former Cinderella frontman still singing so cool after his seven vocal cords surgeries and paralysis in his left vocal chord cord and his new solo album "RISE" was acclaimed by music critics last year in October in hard rock-blues category and is on The Billboard top 10 most sales new albums in (2019) and now in (2020) and also is one of the most playing new rock albums this year so Congratulations for Tom Keifer and his new band The #Keiferband for this incredibly new "RISE' because the whole album is absolutely Amazing! P.s. Tom Keifer postponed the rest of his "RISE" tour here in his Country our country (United States) and other countries in Europe because the new pandemic of the Coronavirus or Covid-19 they say until August but Tom Keifer can xan1 it because the situation with this Virus is getting worse. Ps. The few nights Rock Concerts with Tom Keifer and others rock bands from the 80's and 90's was also postponed for later this year or maybe for 2021 because the Coronavirus or Covid-19 pandemic Good luck for them I just hope that Tom Keifer don't hurt his voice again
@@denicecarlagordon2105 Dude, I was just expressing my view. John said our society is fucked up. And I just said if we got rid of the Democrats life would be easier and more prosperous. Nobody cares about politics I understand that but when you have corruption within our government for so long and the main culprit is the democratic party and some Republicans we just need to get rid of these people.
I have just found this band in the last couple of months and I can’t get enough of them. They are all so talented and Tom keifer is still rocking it today. 🥰

Afuckinmen to that. So much feeling and soul. Shit just floods memories of great parties and girlfriends. Breaks my fucking heart knowing it ain't gonna happen anymore but I'm still pulling my part. 59 and rockin' and partying as if 19. My age changes but my heart and lust for rock and roll and good times is stronger than ever
😢 this was my daughter's favorite song. We buried her on June 18th she died on the 10. You know I believe God has mercy on your soul if you don't know what you're done???? Many questions we have to ask him about. Sometimes I miss her so bad if you have children hug them every day I told her that I loved her everyday. That's something I always do when everybody's leaving.
Wasn't even around when this song came out, but damn does it hit so deep. That's why I love music of this age and genre: a person can actually relate to it.
I was lucky enough to experience this song in 1988 when it came out. I cannot count how many times I have listened to it these 35 years because I still have this album on CD. It's definitely one of the things I want to be buried with when I say goodbye to this universe.
Es muy bonito cuando te identificas con el rock.... Yo crecí con toda esta onda de la música. Me gusto lo que pusiste, te compraste un CD. Que localizo. Soy de Perú un abrazo wayki.
To hear that someone loves this music the way I did when I was 14 is amazing iwas only 11 when this song came out, but I love it more and more everyday, even though M T.V. played this video every hour on the hour... keep rocking 14 yrs & counting...d@pb Chino505
I love mostly all 80’s power ballads. But this one has stuff going on in it that touches me the most. First of all, it’s a well written song. Good lyrics. And that opening piano has such a beautiful melody. I love pretty piano melodies. Vocals are fucking incredible! The sound of his voice, the feeling, the emotion, the power & the pain in his voice. At 2:20 "Tearin' Through My Soul" - He nailed that lyric line with absolute perfect emotion! The guitar solo - Beautiful & melodic & has that classic Les Paul sound to it. Guitar players will know what I mean. It’s big & chunky & has that Les Paul sustain. Glorious sound! This song is my favorite 80’s power ballad!
Si leyenda entre las leyendas nos deja un gran legado y grandes recuerdos de esos tiempos tan hermosos como los 80 y los 90 los mejores tiempos de la historia , que jamás volverán.
There will never be any music, as good as the 80's!!! This song takes me back to when I was a teenager.. I loved Cinderella, and all of the hair bands..... I wish today's music was half as good. But sadly it's not.
Agree. My kids are both little but since they was born all they know is the 80’s music. Almost word for word each song they hear. Each weekend we make a playlist of what we want to listen to the next week. Love the oldies
I liked it big time when I first heard this song on the local FM radio when this released. I'm 67 now and still love it. Knew it was going to be a big hit. Geez, where does the time go? 😐
George Strait Has Always Been my very favorite country singer and i lay here in my hospital bed listening to his music. I was lucky enough to see him in concert once at foxboro stadium in Massachucettes, my youngest son was 18 months old and i got Special ear plugs and brought him with me and my 2 good friends. It was my baby michaels first concert at 18 months old ❤❤❤

I am proud to come from a generation where we had amazing love songs to listen too with our bf or gf in the 80's. Thank you for the memories and nostalgia, I feel like a teenager all over again 💔❤
Me too! First love, first car, first everything. People talked at parties, not on their phones. My dad used to say to me that they don't make music like they used too. I say that to my daughter now.
I can't tell you, baby What went wrong I can't make you feel What you felt so long ago I'll let it show I can't give you back What's been hurt Heartaches come and go And all that's left are the wounds I can't let go If we take some time to think it over, baby Take some time, let me know If you really wanna go Don't know what you got Till it's gone Don't know what it is I did so wrong, wrong, wrong! takes me back to the days of lock-ins at Kingsway Skateland here in Hopkinsville, KY. I miss "MUSIC"!!! Today's (crap) I mean "music" is screaming, whining, botched n hoes and all in auto tune so when you go to a concert your "Bieber" does not sound like your tape or what have heard on the radio. It's all WAY to FAKE for me Lol
I will be 46 on Friday, and am stuck in the 80's. Big hair bands, screaming guitars, one hit wonders, etc. The 80's is a living time space legend. I was in love with the 80's then, and am even more so today.
I grew up with them, now that Jeff LaBar is not among us anymore, their music is even more special. I think that in every corner of the world now, there is someone who is crying. Jeff, thanks for everything, rest in peace and we will remember you forever. Your beautiful art will never die! 💔

All those hair metal bands could write great powerful rock songs but the true thing is to write such a melodic power ballad that straight goes into your heart. Wonderful, isn't it?

Cinderella music started in public eye in the late 80's with their triple multi platinum album "Night Songs" in 1986, the band last album after Long Cold Winter (1988) and also Heartbreak Station in 1992 Cinderella's also triple multi platinum albums as well was Still Climbing in 1994

100% right, those were the good days, alot of memories

Cinderella and Jeff Labar among other similar bands wrote the soundtrack to my HS years! Rest In Peace Jeff Labar you will be sorely missed!

Love this song, but my fav is Nobody’s Fool and Heartbreak Station!!!!!! Can’t get enough of Cinderella. I’m 56 now and hubby is 61. I met my hubby when I was 17. I hope Tom sees all the comments.

I can't clear my heart of your love, it falls like rain

Tearing through my soul
I just can't take another day
Who's to blame?
If we take some time to think it over, baby
Take some time, let me know
If you really wanna go
Don't know what you got
Till it's gone

Cinderella - Always in my ❤️❤️❤️ Best band of a long forgotten era.. I hear them calling from far away😢😢😢
This tune brings back old memories and sends chills down my spine, some of the comments about it being pop music I tend to disagree. This my friend is one of the greatest Power Ballads ever written and one of the best videos to back it up.Tom Kiefer is a true artist and if you were young when this song came out u would truly appreciate the talent and artistry that went into the filming and song writing in this great video!!
thomas homer i grew up on 80's rock. may not have been born in tht era, but damn this is some great music
takes me back to the days of lock-ins at Kingsway Skateland here in Hopkinsville, KY.
I miss "MUSIC"!!!
Today's (crap) I mean "music" is screaming, whining, botched n hoes and all in auto tune so when you go to a concert your "Bieber" does not sound like your tape or what have heard on the radio.
It's all WAY to FAKE for me
Lol
missing the 80's. excellent song and video to go with it
I cry as I listen
Could not have said it better!!
I will be 46 on Friday, and am stuck in the 80's. Big hair bands, screaming guitars, one hit wonders, etc. The 80's is a living time space legend. I was in love with the 80's then, and am even more so today.
Hilary Patterson I would do anything to go back to 80s
Hilary Patterson
Taken me interesa raje on
You are not alone that’s for sure.
I'm 61 heart transplant still rock put to guys like these
Who's is here Nov 2024
Me from Philippines
I grew up with them, now that Jeff LaBar is not among us anymore, their music is even more special. I think that in every corner of the world now, there is someone who is crying. Jeff, thanks for everything, rest in peace and we will remember you forever. Your beautiful art will never die! 💔
You don't know what you got... til it's gone 😭
I was heartbroken when the news about him came out.
I am heartbroken too. May God rest Jeff’s soul.
This is my favorite song. This song reminds me of when me and my ex hubby were getting divorced. This song gets me every time
Just listened to the LONG COLD WINTER effort last week.
NIGHT SONGS I have memorized…..
Great band!
Sad loss.
Im a 49 year old man and im not ashamed to say i love his voice, he puts so mutch emotions in his voice when he sings. The 80’s had so mutch soul in there rock,, cinderella fan for life. Rock on all my 80’s teens.
That's what I love the most! His voice? Not to mention the song. My boyfriend can't stand his voice. Not sure why. Should hear the stuff he makes me hear all the time...grunge ear shattering stuff. I love everything about this song.
@@sarahkaylor4933 your boyfriend is just jelious of you liking another man, even tho its just his voice. Some men aren’t mature enough to have there lady say or think something about another man.maybe he will grow out of it in time. Good luck
I AM 70 YEARS OLD MAN I LOVE ❤ THIS SONG 🎵 ❤
Growing up as a Teen in the 80s, No cells, No cameras, just good times...#Ucantkillrcknroll

An absolute masterpiece. Songs like these are what sets the 80's away from every other decade, another league altogether.

Jackal was a 90s band.
I was partying to this, were you even alive! Rotfl
Cinderella's Greatest Hits is Worth It. You'll Be Surprised How Many Good Songs He Created!
All those hair metal bands could write great powerful rock songs but the true thing is to write such a melodic power ballad that straight goes into your heart. Wonderful, isn't it?
yes it is. im 54, i still lament to this...
God Bless....
November Rain got nothing on this treasure.

This is a message for future generations, don't let music like this die.
21 here. Feel like I’m the only one who enjoys classics like this.
Está música jamás morirá porque la música de los años 80 y parte de los 90 será la mejor música de todos los tiempos
😎😎
Don’t worry I’ll be playing it in kitt 💯💯💯💯

Loved this album when it came out and still love it today. I am still listening to 70's and 80's rock and metal because it was just so damn good.
💜💜
That was a really cool shot of Cinderella in front of the water very cool. And it is true we don't know what we've got until it's gone. Thank goodness we have all the recordings right
Absolutely a timeless masterpiece
Can't get much better then this type of music. Good old rock and roll. Thanks for the entertainment RUclips and musicians.
Greetings from Mexico Good evening. I apologize for jumping into your comment in such a way. I'm really looking forward to get to know you better. If you're comfortable with it, I'd love to talk somewhere outside the RUclips comment section. and get to know each other a bit more intimately. What do you think?👍
The decade of the 80's can Never be replaced with any other decade when it comes to music!!🎵🔥💋💖✨⚡🤘🎶🎶🎶🎶☁️✈️🙋🏻♀️

Not only music, a lot of other things too, glad that I was a part of it too.

Times were SO SIMPLE!! No internet, cell phones, most ppl got along. Our hangout was the flood wall. 100’s of long haired guys walking around!! We had the best times just sitting on our car hood. Til I’d be late for curfew that is!
Cinderella music started in public
eye in the late 80's with their triple
multi platinum album "Night Songs"
in 1986, the band last album after
Long Cold Winter (1988) and also Heartbreak Station in 1992 Cinderella's also triple multi platinum albums as well was Still Climbing in 1994
