Today is my birthday. I just turned 54 years old. I wanted to give myself a very special gift so I chose to listen to this tremendous and unique romantic song inspired by one of my favorite rock bands, Cinderella. Perfectly splendid!🎂💕😘🎶
The guitarist you see in this video is Jeffrey Philip LaBar born on March 18, 1963, Darby, PA.. Took flight on July 14, 2021.. Let's remember all the joy Jeff brought us through his guitar playing. We miss you Jeffrey Philip .... Rock In Peace..
Well said, I think they opened for Bon Jovi in my island of Puerto Rico can't recall the exact year probably 86,87. Time flies but this song still holds up great, rest easy Jeff..🙏
I'm 58 years old/Young and I'm very thankful to be part of a chosen generation that has had the privilege to hear what music actually sounds like when placed into the right hands! I thank Cinderella and all the bands that gave us their time and their talent to make this happen! Please share this music with the younger generations so that they don't miss out on what we've had all along! Thank you, and as we've always said, turn it up and rock and roll!!
I can't tell you, baby What went wrong I can't make you feel What you felt so long ago I'll let it show I can't give you back What's been hurt Heartaches come and go And all that's left are the wounds I can't let go If we take some time to think it over, baby Take some time, let me know If you really wanna go Don't know what you got Till it's gone Don't know what it is I did so wrong, wrong, wrong! Now I know what I got It's just this song And it ain't easy to get back, takes so long, long, long! I can't feel the things That cause you pain I can't clear my heart of your love, it falls like rain Ain't the same I hear you calling far away Tearing through my soul I just can't take another day Who's to blame? If we take some time to think it over, baby Take some time, let me know If you really wanna go Don't know what you got Till it's gone Don't know what it is I did so wrong, wrong, wrong! Now I know what I got It's just this song And it ain't easy to get back, takes so long, long, long! Do you wanna see me beggin' baby? Can't you give me just one more day? Can't you see my heart's been draggin' lately? I've been lookin' for the words to say Don't know what you got Till it's gone Don't know what it is I did so wrong, wrong, wrong! Now I know what I got It's just this song And it ain't easy to get back, takes so long, long, long! Don't know what you got Till it's gone Don't know what it is I did so wrong, wrong, wrong! Now I know what I've got It's just this song And it ain't easy to get back, takes so long, long, long! 🎶♥️🎶

This is in my opinion the best song ever written by Cinderella!! I had the pleasure of seeing Cinderella on their Long Cold Winter tour with Judas Priest back in 1989 at Hampton Virginia Colosseum!! The absolute best concert that I have ever seen!!! What a concert!!!!!!
Yes sir. I grew up with all the 80s and 90s music. I never considered this band a "hair metal" band. These guys were Rock n Roll just like GnR. Love this band. And the singer/guitarist is an amazing songwriter. Fan for Life.
I'm watching this from my youth. I loved metal and Cinderella was right up there for me. 80s Chick that loved ballads. Now I'm 55 disabled and post elections. This is my anthem for my exit from this nightmare. Thanks Cinderella for the many years! 🫶🙏🫂😢
This song never gets old. I'm dedicated to this song to my 62 year old uncle. He passed away tonight after long illness. He was a recipient of double lung transplant and would've been his 7th anniversary next weekend. Love you, Uncle Ephrem James!
My deepest sympathis and condolences to you.❤😔 My mother killed herself in 1988, when I was 24. This album had just come out. When I got to my parents' house after finding out she was gone, MTV was playing on the television, and this video came on. It brought me to my knees. Needless to say, this song has mixed feelings associated with it for me...
My kidney transplant failed during covid. I'm struggling with sickness even as u read this. I'm back on dialysis and looking grim..I'm in to much pain etc.but I'm fighting for some reason. God bless u all
One of the most underrated songs of any genre or style. Such a touching and real song. When this came out I loved it and Cinderella also. Now at 52 I truly understand, you don’t know what you got till it’s gone,as most of us do. Keep on living and rocking my friends.🙂
This band "Cinderella" is on hiatus since the band last album together title "Still Climbing' in (1994) great album too but I think it was released in a wrong time. But this band former frontman Singer-songwriter musician, composer and producer Carl Thomas Keifer (Tom) still Rocking touring and singing our favorite Cinderella's hits songs and new hits songs too from his second solo album title "RISE" and his new band The #Keiferband and let me tell you this Tom Keifer who was born Carl Thomas Keifer former Cinderella frontman still singing so cool after his seven vocal cords surgeries and paralysis in his left vocal chord cord and his new solo album "RISE" was acclaimed by music critics last year in October in hard rock-blues category and is on The Billboard top 10 most sales new albums in (2019) and now in (2020) and also is one of the most playing new rock albums this year so Congratulations for Tom Keifer and his new band The #Keiferband for this incredibly new "RISE' because the whole album is absolutely Amazing! P.s. Tom Keifer postponed the rest of his "RISE" tour here in his Country our country (United States) and other countries in Europe because the new pandemic of the Coronavirus or Covid-19 they say until August but Tom Keifer can xan1 it because the situation with this Virus is getting worse. Ps. The few nights Rock Concerts with Tom Keifer and others rock bands from the 80's and 90's was also postponed for later this year or maybe for 2021 because the Coronavirus or Covid-19 pandemic Good luck for them I just hope that Tom Keifer don't hurt his voice again
@@denicecarlagordon2105 Dude, I was just expressing my view. John said our society is fucked up. And I just said if we got rid of the Democrats life would be easier and more prosperous. Nobody cares about politics I understand that but when you have corruption within our government for so long and the main culprit is the democratic party and some Republicans we just need to get rid of these people.
😢 this was my daughter's favorite song. We buried her on June 18th she died on the 10. You know I believe God has mercy on your soul if you don't know what you're done???? Many questions we have to ask him about. Sometimes I miss her so bad if you have children hug them every day I told her that I loved her everyday. That's something I always do when everybody's leaving.
It is definitely not unknown to the wise. It’s a classic and those that don’t know will learn. It is a a great ballad and I love that they stood up for freedom of speech.
❤ now this is music to the ears I just love all my older rock and roll and some rhythm and blues and just a little bit of country music but all in all I will choose rock and roll classic anytime to anything else ❤
Graduated high school in 1985..now at 56..im still listening too Poison, Scorpions, def leppard,Bon Jovi, Boston, Foreigner, Nickleback..They are all in my playlist...and makes me go back in time with all long haired rock n roll bands!ROCK ON!❤
Myself graduated in '74 and still listening to Dio, Deep Purple, Cinderella, Stargazery, Richie Blackmore, Hardliner and many more. 99% of their song are in my playlist in Spotify.
I'm 54 and my daughter and son are 14, my kids love the 80's music. My daughter said that I was lucky to have been a part of that generation! Gen X ROCKS!
i'm also Gen X mate we are fucking lucky to have gone through that shit we didn't know it at the time, but hey .... the younger one's bring our attention to it don't they as cinderella said you don't know what you got ti'll it's gone and it's so fucking true
2008 baby here, you are luckier than u know 2 b' a part of that generation. Not all of Gen Z r electronic loving tech savvy popstars! I'm a full time Rockstar, N' I could fit right in w/ 80's n' 90's I'd do anything 2 b' born so that I could live in the prime of music everywhere. Lucky. Lucky. Lucky.
@@oscarjetson128 God... I wish I could've gone. It makes me sad. Dude, why am I acting like it's a place? It's sadly a moment in time where no one can ever go again. That's depressing.
I liked it big time when I first heard this song on the local FM radio when this released. I'm 67 now and still love it. Knew it was going to be a big hit. Geez, where does the time go? 😐
Well major congratulations on your son introducing your to Cinderella sir you and me are of the baby boomer generation and this video has lot's of meaning that transcends time and space for sure with real emotions.
I will be 46 on Friday, and am stuck in the 80's. Big hair bands, screaming guitars, one hit wonders, etc. The 80's is a living time space legend. I was in love with the 80's then, and am even more so today.
Love this song, but my fav is Nobody’s Fool and Heartbreak Station!!!!!! Can’t get enough of Cinderella. I’m 56 now and hubby is 61. I met my hubby when I was 17. He asked me to marry him 4 months later. We have been together for 39 years. We are always reminiscing about the olden days and playing 80s music. Cinderella all the way!!!!! I hope Tom sees all the comments.
I met my wife at 16, got her pregnant at 16. Married her at 17. We've had five children, 38 years later we're still together. This got me banned from Reddit. Well done, and good luck for the future.
My hero's are dying... So sad .. today Jeff passed away but we never forget this man! RIP JEFF ... We never forget you!🥺 This is not a goodbye is just like we'll see you soon ! ❤️
yes we do not go we are eternity lightgeings but it is our own decision were we be . our visions come true . so walk on eternity dimension with unconditional LOVE than you are right so JEFF be in this lovelight wthout fear see you soon on the island . moin . Glück Auf
That raspy/growl in his voice, it's just so unique. I hate all the vocal issues he had as time went on, i can't help but to wonder if he just pushed his vocal cords to the limit, which i do believe he did. He seriously went out of his way to sound different, and he succeeded big time, and he still has it today! You can see stuff from the past year or so and he still has it. Maybe not as good as it once was, but that's just what happens when you age, especially if you were into hard rock/glam metal, or any sorta music where you are seriously crushing it when you perform high tension "power ballads".
Chris Hood I wasn't even talking to you so pull your panties out. That comment was written for Matt who claimed it embarrassing but either way it just goes to show you how people are.
I apologize then,i just get tired of people bashing good music,i love all kinds of music as i get older but the 80's were no doubt the best music in my lifetime.Sorry for jumping the gun my friend.
Love this song, diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Was absolutely devastating. My partner was good for a while. But now she doesn't want to know me. I love her immensely. Now I'm lost. But this song helps.
When I was growing up in the 80's, I took life for granted. Not paying any mind as to how awesome that friggin decade really was. Such a simpler time with awesome music and awesome people! Now over 30 years later in 2019, I regret not appreciating those times when I was a kid. I wish I could go back, because honestly, You don't know what you got til its gone....
Other side of 50 now, and I hear the clock ticking LOUDER AND LOUDER. Wish we could go back but until that time machine is ready, work on your bucket lists. Enjoy the time you have left, my friends.
lol I would give up 10 years forward to relive 5 years of the 80's So much fun and your right none of this bullshit that's happening now.....So much fun !
This rock band were so seriously underrated up there with the very best. They wrote some of the most beautiful rock ballads I have ever heard. I am 53 and I have loved my rock music all my life its got soul and have many favourites this band is certainly up there with my all time favs Rip Jeff ❤️ 🎸
Lyrics: I can't tell ya baby what went wrong I can't make you feel what you felt so long ago I'll let it show I can't give you back what's been hurt Heartaches come and go and all that's left are the words I can't let go If we take some time to think it over baby Take some time, let me know If you really want to go Don't know what you got till it's gone Don't know what it is I did so wrong Now I know what I got It's just this song And it ain't easy to get back Takes so long I can't feel the things that cause you pain I can't clear my heart of your love it falls like rain Ain't the same I hear you calling far away Tearing through my soul I just can't take another day Who's to blame If we take some time to think it over baby Take some time let me know If you really want to go Don't know what you got till it's gone Don't know what it is I did so wrong Now I know what I got It's just this song And it ain't easy to get back Takes so long Do you want to see me beggin' baby Can't you give me just one more day Can't you see my heart's been draggin' lately I've been lookin' for the words to say Don't know what you got till it's gone Don't know what it is I did so wrong Now I know what I got It's just this song And it ain't easy to get back Takes so long Don't know what you got till it's gone no Don't know what it is I did so wrong Now I know what I got It's just this song And it ain't easy to get back Takes so long Enjoy this masterpiece ✌
"Cinderella" is Probably the most underrated rock band of the 80's and 90's because they deserve a better recognition. Cinderella music is different, is clean of negative messages because in every Cinderella's songs you can hear positive word's Or a very true message like in this one and that's why fan's still love Cinderella's music in this days because is an AMAZING! Hard Rock Metal Band.
Yeah, definitely they were underrated in the 80' and 90's, if you think in bands like Poison, Def Leppard, Kiss and others. Sure they should have deserve more attention.
To hear that someone loves this music the way I did when I was 14 is amazing iwas only 11 when this song came out, but I love it more and more everyday, even though M T.V. played this video every hour on the hour... keep rocking 14 yrs & counting...d@pb Chino505
I'm 13 and I love 60s 70s 80s and 90s music It's pretty much all I listen to. All the new music that gets played on the radio all day is complete garbage. The 80s music is my favorite decade for movies and music. I feel bad for other kids my age that haven't experienced music like this. Classic rock for life! And don't get me even started on movies
same but im 16, nobody in my school likes it and bullies me because of it and i just tell them well listen to what you like and ill listen to what i like
Ty Andrzejewski That's sad people bully you because of it, especially because everyone used to listen to it back then. Now its like uncool to have seen anything from before the year 2000. Except for maybe star wars. But that's really sad. You'll probably eventually find people with the same interests. I did 2 or 3 years ago and their my best friends. Classic rock for life
Both of my parents are singers, but neither of them ever wanted to pursue a musical career. We’re just hard wired to be practical. Musicians on both sides of the family it’s been instilled in me since I was born, many different genres and cultures. This is definitely one of my favorite oldies songs! I keep coming back here. ❤
Im a 49 year old man and im not ashamed to say i love his voice, he puts so mutch emotions in his voice when he sings. The 80’s had so mutch soul in there rock,, cinderella fan for life. Rock on all my 80’s teens.
That's what I love the most! His voice? Not to mention the song. My boyfriend can't stand his voice. Not sure why. Should hear the stuff he makes me hear all the time...grunge ear shattering stuff. I love everything about this song.
@@sarahkaylor4933 your boyfriend is just jelious of you liking another man, even tho its just his voice. Some men aren’t mature enough to have there lady say or think something about another man.maybe he will grow out of it in time. Good luck
Wow I'm 48 years old and I still get chills with this song it will forever be in my heart ❤songs like this are timeless...r.i.p always remembered but not forgotten
Nobody, I mean nobody is cooler than Jeff LeBar holding & playing a six string. Deepest Sorrow of his passing. Thanks Jeff, coolest guitar God ever. RIP
I followed this band. I was really into them. Soulful and bluesy. And they rock out. One of my favorite bands. I listened to them in a binge when I was young and discovering all the cool bands around. I rank them way higher than a lot of the bands back then. Very underrated band. This is a little gem. Thanks.
I can't tell ya baby what went wrong I can't make you feel what you felt So long ago, I'll let it show I can't give you back what's been hurt Heartaches come and go and all that's left are the words I can't let go If we take some time to think it over baby Take some time let me know If you really wanna go Don't know what you got till it's gone Don't know what it is I did so wrong Now I know what I got It's just this song And it ain't easy to get back Takes so long I can't feel the things that cause you pain I can't clear my heart of your love It falls like rain, ain't the same I hear you calling far away Tearing through my soul I just can't Take another day, Who's to blame If we take some time to think it over baby Take some time let me know If you really wanna go Don't know what you got till it's gone Don't know what it is I did so wrong Now I know what I got It's just this song And it ain't easy to get back Takes so long Do you wanna see me beggin' baby Can't you give me just one more day Can't you see my heart's been draggin' lately I've been lookin' for the words to say Don't know what you got till it's gone Don't know what it is I did so wrong Now I know what I got It's just this song And it ain't easy to get back Takes so long
I've managed to loose the most precious, wonderful, greatest thing that's ever been in my life. it's my fault an god forgive me, my loving angel Tina Ranae Fording. I'll love you uncontrollably till the day I die.. and I miss US an everything that came with it... our children. our dogs, most important, the TOGETHERNESS............ ..I LOVE YOU.... Always..
My Love of my life is going to know this song when I'm gone. Love him with all my heart. A woman needs more than love . Feeling the love would be great. Wake-up before it's too late Boo.
I have listen to this song so many times and come across the words that you wrote ready the words to this song was Beautiful having trouble with a lady i come here to youtube to think and find answers you have given me my lady back just now thank you for being here at youtube i cry as i try to finish this is not enough for what you have done for me and my lady i can't wait for morning i will waken her now God bless you and all you love .
I was an 80's kid. And, I wish that I could go back to then and just keep repeating the time, like a broken record. I love music from all ages. But, the 80's were the best time ever. I just turned 44 year's old, about a week and half ago. And, I still got my long hair and I don't wanna have it any other way. The music from the 80's, is just on a whole different level than the rest of the music. Don't get me wrong, I love the 60's and 70's rock music, too. But, the 80's were the pinnacle of it all...
This song reminds me of my husband. He got killed in 2008. We met in 1991. God I miss him so much!!! Tears fall as I try to even type this. Next month makes 9 years he's been gone. And you know what? It never goes away. At least I have memories in my heart. So many good ones. Thanks to music like this!!
Sorry to hear that. I lost my husband 8-19-08 (cancer) and still have bad days. You lose a piece of your heart & soul when you love deep and lose them. God Bless you and I hope you find peace, love and happiness.
Tom Keifer, battled vocal cord paralysis in the 90s and it almost ended his career. After a bunch of surgeries and therapy he overcame it and continued rocking and went solo
I never figured that if I had children while married that one would pass away at an early age (19). My son was good and I miss him and when I see his picture on my wall now the tears just come like the Florida rainy season (Heavy). So, in closing, I wish all parents out there that they take a minute out of their tight schedule and tell them how much you love them and mean to you. Sorry for dragging this on, but the song made me think of my Joshua who passed in 2009.
Dave so sorry for your lost and your heart will never heal from losing a child no matter how old they are. My daughter lost her 9 month old son suddenly and like I said your child is your child but I know it must be that much harder having your son longer in life. I lost two of my grandson's and my heart will be broken until the day I die. I haven't lost a child so I don't know that deep deep pain ya'll feel just can't imagine what that feels like. As you said tell your children how much you love them and how proud you are of them. Just showing them no matter what happens I love you unconditionally never forget that. Thank you so much for sharing your pain and how important it is to tell and show them your love. God Bless you and your family. Your son is right there on your shoulder always watching over you. My two grandsons are on each of my shoulders and they are Angels and they really are beautiful 😇 Angels

Its not just how great this Rock Ballad is...Its also the video and the whole feeling involved ! Who hasn't felt this way ? I wish this kind of talent was still happening today...I'm thankful that I have experienced Cinderella - one of my all time favorite Rock bands - Love to every one of these gents ! Thank-you for your gift of music to all of us !💝
I was 13 when this came out. I kissed a girl I met while I was on a family vacation. It was my first kiss. We wrote a few love letters back and forth, but I never saw her ever again. When I got home, I played this for the next 6 months and cried in my room. I always remembered her name & I looked her up on Facebook 20 years later & found her. We both laughed so hard.
I was 13 and lived in NY, and she was 17 and lived in NJ. We wrote some letters but it eventually faded away. I will always remember this song. We both had denim jackets with rock n roll patches on them. This was 1988

What has happened in countries like Greece and Argentina is just a foreshadow of what's to come for the rest of the world including the US. Once the US dollar collapses and is replaced as the world standard currency it will send shockwaves through the financial markets and devastate our economy. Research what happened to England when the pound was replaced by the dollar as the world standard. You have nothing to be ashamed of it is not your fault. It is the fault of the central bankers and the corrupt politicians who have enslaved and indebted our once great nations. Good luck with your business and God bless you and your family.
WHAT YOU SAY IS TRUE..THE POINT IS THAT WE'RE WASTING SOME OF THE GREATEST YEARS WE HAVE AS HUMANS...THE DECADE BETWEEN 30-40 I FIND MY SELF UNABLE TO ACCOMPLISH WHAT I HAD IN MIND.AND OFCOURSE EVERYONE ELSE IN GREECE IS LIKE ME.WISH THE BEST TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY...HOPE USA AND IMF CONTINUE TO SUPPORT GREECE IN THIS AT LEAST DIFICULT SITUATION WE FIND OURSELVES INTO.
I was lucky enough to experience this song in 1988 when it came out. I cannot count how many times I have listened to it these 35 years because I still have this album on CD. It's definitely one of the things I want to be buried with when I say goodbye to this universe.
Es muy bonito cuando te identificas con el rock.... Yo crecí con toda esta onda de la música. Me gusto lo que pusiste, te compraste un CD. Que localizo. Soy de Perú un abrazo wayki.
Gen Xer here in 2024 watching videos and remembering simpler times, childhood friendships, and loved ones who have passed. Who’s with me??? I wish you the best this year and beyond, whoever you are.
My husband passed away on May 14, 2024. Because of this song I knew what I had and cherished him everyday. I’m still in love with him. R.I.P. Eddie Conk
I had several commentaries about this extraordinary band----they were all great----but I am lost in finding them; some 4/7 years ago ;I don't know how they were deleted or what; was always respectful by my innocuous commentaries.....
I love mostly all 80’s power ballads. But this one has stuff going on in it that touches me the most. First of all, it’s a well written song. Good lyrics. And that opening piano has such a beautiful melody. I love pretty piano melodies. Vocals are fucking incredible! The sound of his voice, the feeling, the emotion, the power & the pain in his voice. At 2:20 "Tearin' Through My Soul" - He nailed that lyric line with absolute perfect emotion! The guitar solo - Beautiful & melodic & has that classic Les Paul sound to it. Guitar players will know what I mean. It’s big & chunky & has that Les Paul sustain. Glorious sound! This song is my favorite 80’s power ballad!
Si leyenda entre las leyendas nos deja un gran legado y grandes recuerdos de esos tiempos tan hermosos como los 80 y los 90 los mejores tiempos de la historia , que jamás volverán.
I am proud to come from a generation where we had amazing love songs to listen too with our bf or gf in the 80's. Thank you for the memories and nostalgia, I feel like a teenager all over again 💔❤
Me too! First love, first car, first everything. People talked at parties, not on their phones. My dad used to say to me that they don't make music like they used too. I say that to my daughter now.
This was my moms favorite song once i played it for her. She loved it so much, she said when she passes away she wanted me to play this at tbe end of the funeral, and i dod. I love Cinderella too. Rest in peace mom everytime i play this song i think about you. Miss and love you
There will never be any music, as good as the 80's!!! This song takes me back to when I was a teenager.. I loved Cinderella, and all of the hair bands..... I wish today's music was half as good. But sadly it's not.
Agree. My kids are both little but since they was born all they know is the 80’s music. Almost word for word each song they hear. Each weekend we make a playlist of what we want to listen to the next week. Love the oldies
This was the most beloved song that actually tricked me to buy there albums. Thinking it was a Pink floyd 2.0 band, I did. Disappointment was my actual feeling. This was a 1 up band.
I have just found this band in the last couple of months and I can’t get enough of them. They are all so talented and Tom keifer is still rocking it today. 🥰

Nothing Else Matters Metallica will always be my favorite ballot. It's all about my wife and family. Been married for 14 years and loving life. The best of times should be had with your best friend. For me it's because my family is so big I don't always have time.
This song brings back so many old memories and makes me think about and miss some of my best friends that have went on and left me.They just don't make music like this anymore, this is how music is supposed to sound,i will always be grateful for all the old bands that gave me so much great music and memories.
Afuckinmen to that. So much feeling and soul. Shit just floods memories of great parties and girlfriends. Breaks my fucking heart knowing it ain't gonna happen anymore but I'm still pulling my part. 59 and rockin' and partying as if 19. My age changes but my heart and lust for rock and roll and good times is stronger than ever
I was the youngest brother in my family with 2 sisters that graduated in the 80s. I must've heard this song a thousand times by now and it NEVER gets old. I miss our life then. If we would have known then how STUPID the world would be in 2022 we would have appreciated it much more.
I purchased Cinderella's Still Climbing recently. It's not as amazing as Long Cold Winter, although I still enjoyed it. It did remind me what a superb band they are. Tom is a master of rock ballads as well. Don't Know What You Got is remarkable and 1980s bliss.
My daughter is learning this the hard way...she had a great guy, worshipped the ground she walked on, there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for her. They were together four years & she broke up with him. He's gone & she wants him back, but he has literally dropped out of everything. I just pray he is safe, he was heartbroken.
Today is my birthday. I just turned 54 years old. I wanted to give myself a very special gift so I chose to listen to this tremendous and unique romantic song inspired by one of my favorite rock bands, Cinderella. Perfectly splendid!🎂💕😘🎶
Amen
Happy birthday 🎈

Let's remember all the joy Jeff brought us through his guitar playing.

Well said, I think they opened for Bon Jovi in my island of Puerto Rico can't recall the exact year probably 86,87. Time flies but this song still holds up great, rest easy Jeff..🙏
God Bless Him and I know he has realized how beautiful it is there.Bless you🕊️🙌🤍

I remember seeing Cinderella for the first time live when they opened for Bon Jovi. They were outstanding. Been a fan ever since.
I can't tell you, baby
What went wrong
I can't make you feel
What you felt so long ago
I'll let it show
I can't give you back
What's been hurt
Heartaches come and go
And all that's left are the wounds
I can't let go
If we take some time to think it over, baby
Take some time, let me know
If you really wanna go
Don't know what you got
Till it's gone
Don't know what it is
I did so wrong, wrong, wrong!
Now I know what I got
It's just this song
And it ain't easy to get back, takes so long, long, long!
I can't feel the things
That cause you pain
I can't clear my heart of your love, it falls like rain
Ain't the same
I hear you calling far away
Tearing through my soul
I just can't take another day
Who's to blame?
If we take some time to think it over, baby
Take some time, let me know
If you really wanna go
Don't know what you got
Till it's gone

This is in my opinion the best song ever written by Cinderella!! I had the pleasure of seeing Cinderella on their Long Cold Winter tour with Judas Priest back in 1989 at Hampton Virginia Colosseum!! The absolute best concert that I have ever seen!!! What a concert!!!!!!
i saw them in California a couple of times and with Judas Priest also it was an awesome concert
I saw them much later at the Greeley stampede.
I saw the same concert down in Tampa Fl the only reason I went to the concert because of this song

It is definitely not unknown to the wise. It’s a classic and those that don’t know will learn. It is a a great ballad and I love that they stood up for freedom of speech.

Who else is going through their favorite jams thinking about life back in the days? Please tell me I'm not the only one.

I can't tell ya baby what went wrong
I can't make you feel what you felt
So long ago, I'll let it show
I can't give you back what's been hurt
Heartaches come and go and all that's
left are the words I can't let go
If we take some time to think it over baby
Take some time let me know
If you really wanna go
Don't know what you got till it's gone
Don't know what it is I did so wrong
Now I know what I got
It's just this song
And it ain't easy to get back
Takes so long
I can't feel the things that cause you pain
I can't clear my heart of your love
It falls like rain, ain't the same
I hear you calling far away
Tearing through my soul I just can't
Take another day, Who's to blame
If we take some time to think it over baby
Take some time let me know
If you really wanna go
Don't know what you got till it's gone
Don't know what it is I did so wrong
Now I know what I got
It's just this song
And it ain't easy to get back
Takes so long
Do you wanna see me beggin' baby
Can't you give me just one more day
Can't you see my heart's been draggin' lately
I've been lookin' for the words to say
Don't know what you got till it's gone
Don't know what it is I did so wrong
Now I know what I got
It's just this song
And it ain't easy to get back
Takes so long

So happy I grew up in 80s❤

I never figured that if I had children while married that one would pass away at an early age (19). My son was good and I miss him and when I see his picture on my wall now the tears just come like the Florida rainy season (Heavy). So, in closing, I wish all parents out there that they take a minute out of their tight schedule and tell them how much you love them and mean to you. Sorry for dragging this on, but the song made me think of my Joshua who passed in 2009.
you're made of fucking iron my man, that must be hard to endure. I hope whatever is going on your life, actually gets better.

Did you not want to get the girl?

O, eee..
