Man, "Slave to the Grind" is such a good album. Even though in the 90s me and my friends were already into much more extreme music, we always respected Skid Row, not as "guilty pleasure", but as the real deal :)

FOR ANYONE saying there was a better 80,s vocalist then the 1 and only Sabo you are seriously delusional. His range and depth had no PEERS. This song is their greatest and just SHOWCASES how incredible his vocals were . Theres a reason NO ONE has ever tried to do this song nowdays .BECAUSE No one would be able to do it justice becausr no one has the level of talent SABO had. It was not just his incredible dounding voice . It was how he used his amazing range to go from clean to raspy to clean again in the same breath while screamong out his rage and putting ALL his body into the lyrics. THERE WAS NOT ONE MALE VOCALIST that ever lived with the exception of the amazing Chester Bennington ( RIP) that would not have traded voices with Sabo. His was the voice of someone who comrs along once in a millenium.

I just heard a concert from Sebastian from 4 weeks ago and he sounded phenomenal,,,, any other singer that fills in for skid row without Bach is second best cheap karaoke. I hope that Sabo and Bolan come to their senses and realize what the fans really want to hear stop trying to be so controlling and let a big personality with Charisma actually be one of the most amazing frontmen of all time again. Erik Grönwall is the best singer Skid Row could choose after Sebastian. I wished all my life for his comeback but I've realized this unfortunately will never happen, don't want to judge the guys in the band nor Sebastian 'cause I love them all and accept their decisions I don't want a band made up again just for money so I prefer to enjoy the new lineup of Skid Row and the new album which is great, so I hope they will continue to make great music with the new singer. "Turn the page" as an old song says.

I know skid row got lumped into the hair metal genre but they were so much more than that. There was always some depth to their music that got overlooked because of the genre they got lumped into. And this album is nothing short of amazing, and original. You and I together in our lives
    Sacred ties would never fray
Then why can I let myself tell lies
And watch you die every day?
I think back to the times
    When dreams were what mattered
    Though talking youth naivete
You said you'd never let me down
But the horse stampedes and rages
    In the name of desperation
Is it all just wasted time
    Can you look at yourself
    When you think of what
    You left behind
Is it all just wasted time
    Can you live with yourself
    When you think of what
    You've left behind
    Paranoid delusions they haunt you
Where's my friend I used to know?
He's all alone, he's buried deep within
A carcass searching for a soul
    Can you feel me inside
    Your heart as it's bleeding
    Why can't you believe
    You can be loved
I hear you scream in agony
And the horse stampedes and rages
    In the name of desperation
Is it all just wasted time
    Can you look at yourself
    When you think of what
    You left behind
Is it all just wasted time
    Can you live with yourself
    When you think of what
    You've left behind
You said you'd never let me down
But the horse stampedes and rages
    In the name of desperation
Is it all just wasted time
    Can you look at yourself
    When you think of what
    You left behind
Is it all just wasted time
    Can you live with yourself
    When you think of what
    You've left behind
    The sun will rise again
The earth will turn to sand
Creation's colors seem to fade to grey
And you'll see the silky hands of time
    Will write your final rhyme
    And end our memory
    Oh, no!
I never thought you'd let it get this far, boy
    Oh, I never thought
I never thought you'd let it get this far, boy
    Oh, no!
