My first girlfriend, and my fiancee, her name was Sara, was a walking clone of Stevie Nicks. She looked just like her. She was beautiful inside and out. She was killed by a drunk driver two months before we were going to get married. I crawled into a whiskey bottle for months after her death listening to this song along with the FM song Sara staring at her photo for hours not caring if I lived or died. Somehow I got through it, gave up the bottle, and found peace finally realizing that she would want me to live, be happy, and find love again. But her life and death still haunt me to this day. It's been over 30 years now since she died. I never found true love again. But I live and as long as I do, her memory and beauty lives on. Sara. I miss you and still love you and always will. RIP baby. One day we will be together again and start over again.
Sorry for your loss Todd. Know Sara is and always has been with you even in death her loving spirit has been with you. She's been guiding you all these years and she will continue to be there until you take your last breath.
Know that when you hear her favorite song or smell her favorite perfume out of the blue or when you're down and you feel a tickle on your cheek it's her. She's letting you know she's still here and still with you. Her love for you is eternal as the soul is eternal and they never die because the soul and love are energy and energy never goes away.
@@tarabrooks3760 Thank you Tara. It's very much appreciated.
That's such a sad story sorry for your loss I love the Sara song
So sorry for your loss. You lost your soul mate. She was the only one. You will be together again. Until then God bless and keep you.
There is a spiritual realm after we pass, you're free to join her anytime.
For as long as you reside here on earth focus on achieving as much as you can so when you see her again she can be proud of you.
Even the hood love Fleetwood Mac✌🏽

I swear, when I was a kid, Stevie Nicks was like a mythical creature to me. Like a Unicorn, or a Dragon. Like out of this world, so brilliant, not even human.
And you were totally right, she is all of those things.
Unbelievably compelling.... 💙
She lived next to my uncles house in Paradise Valley we use to climb up on the roof and spy on her swimming.
Mystical and Beautiful, I will always treasure the memorabilia I’ve been able to collect from Stevie Nick’s ❤️
She still is all those things! 👍
There are certain 80’s songs that give me an overwhelmingly painful and bittersweet sense of nostalgia. This is definitely one of them.

The tension between Stevie and Lindsay brought all of us such an amazing amount of perfect songs. I kind of wished that they’d made it together…. 💔

That was wrong for her to do me that way
Lindsey is so very talented; without him, no Stevie. When the band fired him they needed 2 guitarists to take his place, he’s that good! He rolled through town ‘solo’ several yrs ago could still kick myself for not going

My absolute favorite song of theirs. The first time I heard it was when I was deploying to Afghanistan in 2009 (I know extremely late) but on my flight there someone kept replaying it and it caused a bunch of us to relax and settle for what’s to come. I knew if I got back home I would attend a concert of hers. I did and it was absolutely magical

You should read the story about the song, how her friend past and she went back to the ‘velvet underground’ a store on a height street in San Francisco and went back to the floor. A mattress she used to sleep on when she was coming up and those were her best days. When every word has meaning to her it has meaning to us.

Stevie was quoted about this song:
"For me to be a gypsy; for me to write about the gypsy - and for me to live the life of a gypsy that I love - I sort of almost have to be almost cold and insensitive to be able to remain that gypsy. It’s not easy to be a hippie-gypsy when you’re rich and when you’re a rock’n’roll star."

Kkkkkk, eu ouço essa música, eu vejo meus amores, mulheres lindas, minha maior alegria é relembra-las, o meu, ou melhor, minha única virtude, amar, incondicionalmente,

a most excellent point!!!
Better to Burn Out than fade away
So right 😆🤣😄😁
Feel bad for those people

To me, this song is about keeping up with yourself. Some people don't know what I mean when I say that. I think it's about trying to forget about the past and focus on yourself. It's about finding your own personal beauty. It's about thinking things over and seeing your mistakes. It's about finding peace and love and leaving a situation that wasn't meant to be before you hurt yourself and the people around you. Trying not to feel pain again. Feeling a sense of peace for the first time in a long time.
I heard it on the radio today. this is exactly what I was thinking it means. I had to look it up to hear it. It resonates alot to what I'm going through
yes ma'am. B.good stay safe enjoy
To me this song is about all the beautiful girls I met all across America & Canada/ Mexico who told me they loved me and My Pink Angel whom sneaked to tell me she loved me in Tennessee & that her love is True Love she still appears in dreams to tell me she still loves me and I thank God for that it kept me going . What would the world be without True Love ? Yes sometimes love causes great pain , maybe at some point it would not be true love if one did not feel some pain but you don't know that many times until the end and who knows but God whom may have planned it all that very way so we don't forget Real Love. Say Rowan Pafford would you have risked at the age of 11 or 13 ect... to sneak and tell me you loved me and your love is true love ? Sincerely, SG 22 E Com > The General's Senior Communications Field Cmdr. Ecom , Intel , Field Div.
Exactly how I take this song
I know I've been loosing myself, don't take care of myself enough and I've always been whimsical but lately with everything going on, I'm loosing me and I need to get back to myself, I spend to much time dwelling on past pain, current pain, not enough on being free spirited and just enjoying what I can.
The bass makes this, love how McVie plays straight on the beat yet its so wonderfully nuanced. Elite songwriting and performance.
💯 ❤
Mr Buckingham sure do pick that guitar nice in the solo!!!

How can one band have so many masterpieces that render such feelings? Simply amazing.
it's because they can play instruments themselves and write songs themselves, and that is something alot of todays artist can't. Todays artist are selected for their looks
and the music comes second place, and in the 60's, 70's and 80's artist were selected for their talent and not their looks.

Upon its release, Gypsy was the most expensive music video ever made. It cost $750,000 to film because of the numerous set changes, extras, hand coloring of negatives, and other post production costs. It was almost not completed because of Nick's repugnance of Lindsey Buckingham and her reluctance to be filmed in close proximatey to him. If you look closely at the dancing scene you can almost feel the revulsion she has for Buckingham.
I've always thought the rest if the group REALLY DID NOT wanna be in this tripppy 'new age' video

No autotune. Pure talent.
vibrato is VERY real tho
I wanted to be here ❤
So many great songs by this band and this is one of the very best. I loved it when I was 15 and will still love it at 85.
Lindsey Buckinham is a genius with that guitar!
"Oh and it lights up the night"
The way she sings this line is that beautiful haunting and airy reminder that you are listening to the great Stevie Nicks.
She is special.
Yeah, Stevie Nicks sure is wonderful!
Nicely put strychnine. (Strychnos nux vomica) i see you.

My nick-name is borrowed from a combination of part of my last name and being a 9 ball champion..
Starting at 2.00 and peaking at 2.18 tops that. Gorgeous.
@@justgotosleep8691 good morning from Germany
No one twirls like Stevie...Beautiful woman with a haunting voice !
Very sexy lady, she just has that kind of voice that you like to hear whisper in your ear ( pointe coupee parish proud
there's a few hundred dervishes in Morocco who might beg to differ. lol
Steve Conyers yup... she's one of the most beautiful women ever!
@@summermcpherson8209 Maybe in rock, NOT "ever," though even in rock, the Wilson sisters, Litta Ford and Kate Bush were hotter.
@Karson Kalabo well shit-for-brains, maybe you just don't know what hot is because of the shit-for-brains. Kim Wilde and Deborah Harry both better.
AHHH, the eighties, big hair, great music, miss em
I love her so much! Long live Stevie Nicks!!
So I'm back to the velvet underground
Back to the floor that I love
To a room with some lace and paper flowers
Back to the gypsy that I was
To the gypsy that I was
And it all comes down to you
Well, you know that it does and
Lightning strikes maybe once, maybe twice
Oh and it lights up the night
And you see your gypsy
You see your gypsy
To the gypsy
That remains
Her face says freedom
With a little fear
I have no fear
Have only love
And if I was a child
And the child was enough
Enough for me to love
Enough to love
She is dancing away from you now
She was just a wish
She was just a wish
And her memory is all that is left for you now
You see your gypsy, oh
You see your gypsy
Ooh ooh, ohh, ohh-oh
Lightning strikes
Maybe once, maybe twice
And it all comes down to you
Ooh oh, and it all comes down to you
Lightning strikes
Maybe once, maybe twice
And (oh) it all comes down to you
I still see your (your) bright eyes, bright eyes
(And it all comes down to you)
Thank you 🙏
maybe this will help everyone get through this crappy world of coronavirus, love her voice

Yes we will never forget you Christine
Man, the 80's really had a lot of good music, this song is the best example of a timeless classic.
I was born in September 82, I plan on purchasing this album

this is timeless quality music and the video is the best music video I have seen, still after all these years and countless watches it still makes me tear up, it has romance, carefree abandon , pure joy, is sexy,...it's perfection !
This song was my youth. Now I'm approaching a time of no responsibilities to children, family or society and freedom. I feel my gypsy waking, and reaching for that freedom again. Life is coming back to me.
Thank you Fleetwood Mac.
My wish for you is that you recover every magical sparkle of it💜⭐
Are you even a gypsy?
No not a real gypsy as in a Romany. But a free spirit who has walked my own roads at times in my life. There's been some hard years for a decade, so I am planning to be free again .
@@forlornhope7121 as I said.... I wish you all the sparkles and magic of true hope, joy and love... I understand so well💜
