Don't look back (ooh, a new day is breakin')
It's been too long since I felt this way
I don't mind (ooh, where I get taken)
The road is callin', today is the day

My wife always says “you’re living in the past listening to that music “. To which I say “have you seen the future?” F that. It may be 2024 outside, but my music will forever stay 70-80s
Love it!!! Good on you - couldn't have said it better 💯
Hell yeah!🚬 😎
You are so right. Many of my friends that were around when this song came out are gone. Many friends I met after this song came out are gone. Seems like the days and those I know are slipping away faster as time goes on. Do you drink to remember, or drink to forget?

Wow. Youre so amazing to determine that your time is the best! Look at how awesome you are

You hit that right on the head.
RIP Brad. You gave us some of the best vocals in Rock History.
THE best vocals.
I seen them 2 times first time in 1995 with Brad Delp in Nashville the other time in 2014 in Chattanooga with Tommy DeCarlo on vocals he still with them
What about Phil Collins or the lead from Journey?
Agreed. Raw talent. Vocals, Drums, Guitar all of it!❤
Cheers from Cologne 😀😀🍷🎉
For what it's worth, Induct Boston into the rock and roll Hall of Fame! It's waaaay past due! 🤘🏼👊🏼
One ass refused to induct them. He should be kicked off the induction committee.
BOSTON IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST OF ALL TIME.
You mean they’re not in??? 🤯🤯🤯
They would rather induct Joan jett
💯 same for REO, Crüe, Bryan Adams, and the Guess Who.
I still can't understand why. Name ANY Band to ever have a bigger influence than these guys. BY FAR THE ABSOLUTELY BEST BAND EVER!!!!!
Imagine being 14 in 1978 taking this for granted thinking that music would always be this amazing.
We loved in the best times❤❤
I was there.
Listening to them now, takes me right back there.
I was 22 when this album came out. I thought I had hundreds of years ahead of me. Now, at 66, reality takes hold. I loved this music and being 22.
I was 12 years old in 1976 and Boston was one of my favorite bands! Many greetings from Germany
I wouldn’t change my childhood in the 70’s for today for any amount of money. My kids will never understand how free we all were and the music will go down as the best in history. Love Brad’s voice
In my mind we should take action to get Boston into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame
WHAT?! You mean they're not in there? ::Not sarcasm:: So bands that came long after, like Pearl Jam and Metallica get inducted and Boston doesn't? Explain that.
Despite their immense popularity and influence in the rock music industry , Boston has surprisingly not been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...
Believer or not..
"Despite their immense popularity and influence in the rock music industry , Boston has surprisingly not been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame".
Believer or not!!
I mean they only took Todd Rundgren in like last year, presumably after realizing he was more relevant to rock and roll than the HoF will ever be. I guess Boston is due but it's the HoF's loss if anything. Every great artist not in there just highlights how pointless the whole concept is.
Back when music was real .
Why is Boston not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
I wish I had a time machine so I could go back there
Tom Scholz has said...if it were offered ...he'd decline! Good for him! The R&R HOA is flaming BS!
Should be! ❤
Such a Shame
it really really should be man best band of all time
My wife always tells me, "You are stuck in the 70s". Well, here I am in 2020 and still stuck. Boston has talent. edit : 2022 Boston still Rocks and I’m still stuck. 2023 and still stuck. edit : 2024 and still stuck in the 70s.
Nobody can help it if everything was better 40 years ago and everything in 2020 sucks, right? That is why I live in the past too!
I sir, Am also a product of a bygone era. Just a better time to be alive. Not as much of the B.S. thats so common today..
My wife tells me I'm stuck in the 80's. I'm here in 2020 and I told her I'm stuck in the 70's too.
My wife says same thing
Hey, I'm 20, and I'm hooked. Still follow Barry Goudreau on FB with his new band, and he's such a regular guy. None of the pompous nonsense of you know who that tore this bunch of guys with so much chemistry apart. Talk about using people...and I didn't hear that from past members. I gathered it all from Scholz's own videos about himself. Didn't seem to trust anybody. Sad.
The harmony can't be touched, the riff can't be fucked with, the fro can't be duplicated. Boston= Legends.
so true
I still get lost in there music everytime I hear it. Think Tom Scholz is a genius. To think, write, and play everything but the drums himself, what a talent!
Joe Permenter absolutely a great comment
@@happydays8171 He played the drums too. The only thing he didn't do was the singing. There was no "Boston". That was a name the record company came up with.
Good to know.
I'm sure Tom didn't play the drums, it was some other guy I can't think of now. But the record label didn't want Tom using him, don't think they liked him, so Tom got Sid Hasien to play. His fro and beard made him very likeable. I thought he stood out.
I love how happy everyone is in this video. What a time for music.
On point. After all the hulabaloo from the first record, pressure to now better yourself, and just being young and seeing your dream coming true, great to see they're all friends. Once ya hit the stage, it's all good!
I love all the smiles! So many past present and future smiles too! 2024!!
Most of them were fired not too long afterwards
was thinking the same thing
Yes! Also that there's no phones, just people enjoying the moment.
I was then 28 , in Abu Dhabi looking for tape for my cassette. A Jordanian told me "try this " I said "what's that ? It's new "BOSTON" made in Indonesia clear sound. I bought it. Upon reaching my hostel..I played it with my Akai sound system using JVC Speakers. I played first "don't look back", all my Filipino co-workers came to my room asking where I got it..later on that evening , all my friends got their own Boston cassette tapes. Good old memories. I'm now 73 and still dig it..Boston forever.
Boston forever... always...
I still have my Akai reel-to-reel. Bought it in Germany at the PX in Wiesbaden. It's down in the basement somewhere.
Awesome Abu Dhabi?!? That’s so cool!! Thanks for sharing!!
Underrated, Brad Delp was, w/o doubt, one of the best vocalist in rock history. He had a pure sound unheard in any song by any other vocalist.
He will be sorely missed.
😢
Check out the isolated vocal track for more than a feeling.

@@99loopswill do ... is it here on YT?
The world lost an incredible voice when Brad Delp passed.
And Tom Scholz's guitar playing can never be duplicated!
An amazing band, from an amazing time in my life!
Will ALWAYS love Boston!!
Boston's a great band. Hope you can enjoy one of my songs. I'm a one man band on youtube.
Amen.
Amen.
Tom Scholz created 95% of that album by himself in his basement. The album existed before Boston the band existed. He invented devices to give him the sound he heard in his head.
We lost nothing. Boston will live forever in your hearts....

I agree every album is a gem! I also can listen from start to finish and not say, “Skip” on any of them! He had such incredible range and power that not many can match!
I swear people aren't as happy anymore I'm looking at the crowd and I'm thinking you could never find that many smiling people at a concert. Would all be watching the show through there phones..
Thank God for our phones so we can go back in time and relive this anytime and anywhere we want tho?
Why aren't these guys in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, but JayZ is? Pretty F'd up

Adrian 02 no. Boston is too great to be in that joke of a Hall.
It would be embarrassing for them to be in the same Hall of Fame as Madonna.

Man, everyone looks so happy in this video! It seems surreal, because if this was made today everyone would be seeing the show through their smartphones. I think it’s sad and kind of disrespectful.
I love how they just smile all the time.
we all did in the 70's LOL
@@sgt.mjr.2270 LOL!!!
Listening to Boston in 2024 and it sounds as fresh and new as it did in 1977. This is the art and intense perfectionism of Brad Delp and expecting nothing less for an album that will literally transcend time.
The 70s were the greatest music
This was my very first album, back in 78, I was hooked on Boston from the moment I heard them on the radio!
Same here.
Yes What a time we lived in We had, Rush, Boston, Styx and Van Halen coming up, and still a lot of the '60s singers making tunes..
I agree I absolutely love this band and I love Brad's voice. He sure could sing.
One of my favorites rock bands! RIP Brad Delp. One of the best vocalist in rock. He was really great.
Yes he was right up there with steve perry
😋✊🏽💦💦💦🤤
And he was a very nice person. Did you ever hear about his Beatlejuice? He loved the Beatles and performed with his own group called Beatlejuice, amazing, sounded like John or Paul... and he performed for high schools and not just large venues. You can find his stuff with Beatlejuice on youtube, and even a documentary, sort of, about his Beatlejuice. A very nice person.
Sandra Molina verdade:)
Jason Williams , thank you!
One of my favorite solos. Sends chills every times. Simple, clean, and exact.
ONE OF THE BEST BANDS EVER!!
Agree with you 100%.😊
Boston is truly rock and roll at it's very roots. You can't say you like rock and not like Boston.
👍👍👍👍
ONE OF THE LEGENDARY BANDS AND ITS GREAT CLASSICS....♪BOSTON🎸
GABRIEL BEHD Fantastic song
got that right
Tom and the backups
Music like this is so much better than anything current
Crazy how it sounds exactly like the album! These guys were on point
Exactly what I was thinking
It is the album track.
I consider their first album the only “perfect” album in rock history !
Brett Jones rumors by fleetwood MAC is up there right along with their debut.
But the Cars debut album would be an extremely close second 😊
@@jim2lane 2112, Pyromania, Candy-O
@@atomicwedgie8176 amazing albums all, but I was trying to reference the most amazing debut albums. With that in mind it's tough to top the ones from Boston and The Cars 😊
@@jim2lane Story of my life...Read The FINE PRINT! lol
I grew up in New England listening to Boston based bands (Cars J Geils Boston Pixies)...these guys put out their first two records...these really are PERFECT records. I don't get sick of classic rock stations playing them. Tom Scholz and company were just DIVINE!
I’m 41 now & this is one of my favorite songs of all time & sometimes seems like the story of my life. I was misdiagnosed with panic attacks my first week of college in 2001 at age 18. Before turning 22 an EEG & MRI revealed my panic attacks were non convulsive simple partial seizures caused by a grey matter heterotopia. After getting them controlled I went back to college at age 30. A year later I developed occasional absence seizures & lost the ability to drive at age 31 before finally graduating. I also lost my mom to breast cancer in January. However I finally see the dawn arriving & see beyond the road I’m driving as I have a great family, friends, a good job with great coworkers, & hobbies I enjoy to pass the time at home & outside of the house
I'm stinkin laughing because I've watched this video 1,000 times and I love how everyone is smiling & behaving.
I can't get enough of Boston!
Whoo-hoo!!
I think people were a lot happier then. I was born in 1979, so I sadly missed out on the majority of this awesome decade. A GREAT decade for music!
@@briansmith8361 yeah, but though I was born in '68, man I had 3 older brothers so, I grew up with this. Lol
